Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute lesson plans aligned with the institutional curriculum and current academic programs.
• To develop teaching units, activities, projects and educational resources that promote the significant learning of the French language.
• Teach French lessons developing the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
• Incorporate active methodologies and differentiated strategies to meet different learning styles and needs.
• To promote knowledge and appreciation of Francophone cultures through enriching educational experiences.
• To encourage the practical use of the French language in academic and everyday contexts.
• Integrate technological tools and digital resources that enhance language learning.
• Design and apply formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress.
• Provide timely feedback and continuous improvement strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date records of grades, attendance, and academic performance.
• Prepare academic reports in accordance with institutional guidelines.
• Maintain effective and professional communication with students, parents, and guardians.
• Participate in academic meetings, training, and continuous improvement processes.
• Collaborate in cultural, academic and extracurricular activities promoted by the institution.
• To contribute to the strengthening of the school environment and institutional culture.
• Strictly comply with the institution's child protection and safeguarding policies.

• Timely report any situation that may compromise a student's safety or well-being.
• To facilitate the acquisition of French as an additional language for students whose academic environment is mainly developed in English and Spanish.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or University Baccalaureate in Teaching French, French Philology, French Linguistics, Modern Languages or related careers.
• Advanced proficiency in the French language, equivalent to a C1 level or higher according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
• International certification of French language proficiency (DELF, DALF, TCF, TEF or equivalent) desirable.
• Minimum experience of 2 to 3 years teaching French to high school students.
• Experience in planning, developing and implementing language teaching programmes.
• Knowledge and application of modern methodologies for foreign language teaching, including project-based learning, collaborative learning, and differentiated instruction.
• Experience in assessing language skills using international standards.
• Ability to integrate technological resources and educational platforms in the teaching-learning process.
• Ability to develop innovative teaching materials and dynamic learning experiences.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience working with students in multicultural and bilingual environments.
• Intermediate or advanced level of English desirable to collaborate within a bilingual English-Spanish academic environment.
• Knowledge of Francophone cultures and ability to promote interculturality within the classroom.
• Ability to motivate, guide and accompany students in the development of their language skills.
• Excellent classroom organization, planning, and management skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and educational best practices.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience in bilingual, international, or International Baccalaureate (IB) schools.
• Experience preparing students for international French language certifications (DELF/DALF).
• Academic, work or cultural experience in a French-speaking country.
• Experience organizing cultural activities, exchanges or events related to the French language and culture.
