About the role:
Are you safety-conscious, organised, and experienced in operating warehouse equipment? We are looking for an experienced Forklift Driver to join our night shift Team in Leamington Spa. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the safe and efficient movement, storage, and handling of goods, while helping to maintain a well-organised warehouse and meet daily operational targets.
This is a full-time, permanent role, based on site in our Leamington Spa warehouse. Shifts will be Monday-Thursday 10pm-8am.
What you'll be doing:
- Safely operate Manual Handling Equipment (MHE), including Reach Trucks and Counterbalance forklifts, to load, unload, move, stack, and retrieve palletised goods.
- Load and unload products onto pallets, racking, and storage areas efficiently and securely.
- Carry out daily pre-use checks to ensure all MHE is safe, compliant, and in good working condition.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety policies, procedures, and site regulations.
- Adhere to strict safe system of work regarding pedestrian segregation and ensuring you do not operate the fork lift truck around persons, internal and external.
- Replenish stock and consumables to Dispensing and packing areas in a timely manner.
- Support stock control processes, including inventory checks and accurate record-keeping.
- Ensure the safe and compliant disposal of waste packaging materials.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and housekeeping across the warehouse.
- Undertake general warehouse duties as required, including manual handling tasks.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily operational targets and performance goals.
- Utilise the most appropriate equipment for the movement of goods.
- The roll is multi activity and not just limited to the fork lift truck.
- A current or previous Reach Truck licence
- Previous warehouse experience
- Good understanding of both written and verbal English
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Valid and up-to-date Reach Truck License and or Counterbalance License (RTITB or ITSSAR accredited or equivalent).
- Ideally 3 years experience working within warehousing and logistics.
- Previous experience operating a reach truck and or counter balance in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
- Good physical fitness, as the role may involve manual handling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
