As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting manufacturing and quality operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives within our Malta site.
What you’ll be doing
- Handling of quality issues arising during manufacturing or during in-process and finished testing of product.
- Supporting the Hold process for non-conforming raw materials/sub-assemblies/finished products.
- Supporting the quality control operations by maintaining the laboratory equipment in a validated state or by qualifying new equipment.
- Supporting manufacturing activities ensuring that quality levels and standards are maintained.
- To assist in adopting/applying LEAN initiatives within the section and take part in continuous improvement activities.
- NCR/CAPA owner: Own investigations, as well as form part of investigation teams, to analyze and mitigate product issues.
- Support during internal and external audits and perform internal audits and in-process assessments.
- Support manufacturing and R&D projects involving product improvement and new product development.
- Perform duties in accordance with procedures aligned with EN ISO 13485.
- Consider the aspects of Environment Health and Safety procedures to ensure that all activities within her role will support EHS targets and will not jeopardize the health and safety of employees and environment.
- Follow good laboratory and documentation practices.
What you'll bring
- Engineering/Science Degree and 2 years of experience in manufacturing/quality
- Experience in a medical device company is considered as a plus
- Technical Skills (Microsoft, familiarity or interest in laboratory equipment and manufacturing processes)
- Communication skills and Problem Solving skills
- Adaptability to changes and detail oriented attitude
- Report writing skills and work tasks prioritization

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The minimum salary for this position is €27.200 annually. Your initial pay could be at the minimum or higher based on skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors, all of which are subject to change. This position may also be eligible for competitive benefits, discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive.
