The Downstream Hardware Sales Specialist is responsible for growth and expansion of direct sales and profit margins within assigned accounts and/or territory/region on products

 This position reports to the Downstream Modality leader and is part of the Bioprocess commercial organization located in Pune/Mumbai/Ahmedabad and will be an remote role to cover the assigned regions.

What you will do:

• Sell Cytiva’s Downstream Hardware solutions and equipment across the assigned territory covering India region.
• Provide high‑level technical expertise throughout the sales cycle, including pre‑sales discussions, product demonstrations, technical trainings, post‑sales support, seminars, tender support and promotional events.
• Consult customers on downstream process applications, leading technical and process‑related conversations with engineering teams and subject matter experts.
• Identify, develop and close new business opportunities while nurturing long‑term relationships with existing accounts, contributing to regional account plans and maintaining an active sales funnel in CRM systems such as Salesforce.
• Forecast and achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets by prioritizing selling activities, ensuring strong territory coverage and collaborating cross‑functionally with account management, service engineering, product management, marketing, finance, legal and scientific support.

Who you are:  

• B. Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc in Biotechnology, Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• Bring several years (7 – 10 years )of commercial experience, ideally within the biotechnology or bioprocessing industry,
• Fluent in English.
• Willing and able to travel regularly (up to approximately 50%) throughout the assigned territory and internationally for activities such as trade shows or FATs.

Travel Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 20 lb, any other physical requirements
• Ability to travel – Willing to travel overnight, within territory or locations 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Comfortable leveraging CRM tools and data insights to track customer engagement, manage pipelines, and support strategic decision-making. 

• Well-versed in regulatory frameworks (e.g., GMP, cGMP) and documentation practices critical to resin qualification and bioprocess implementation.
