What is the Opportunity?

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of Fraud Management strategies for RBC Bank, across all products and channels. You will achieve this objective by monitoring the current landscape, collaborating within Fraud Management and externally with Lines of Business partners. You will look to achieve a balance between fraud loss, client experience, operational cost and risk appetite. Further, you will support large transformational initiatives through thought leadership, risk identification and collaboration with internal stakeholders.

What will you do?

• Be the trusted advisor to business partners and assess current and emerging fraud risks to develop and implement strategic plans that support business transformation.
• Offer subject matter expertise on large scale transformation initiatives to ensure the right controls are implemented both within RBC Bank and the industry to create a seamless client experience balanced against fraud risk.
• Provide Senior Management and Business partners with timely updates on fraud loss savings, performance against risk appetite and any ongoing risks.
• Conduct data analysis to support business case development for technology or FTE investment.
• Work collaboratively to identify and execute against opportunities to optimize the balance across the risk pillars, while managing a prioritized backlog of ideas.
• Stay apprised of production and operations strategies and objectives, and conduct research to assess best in class fraud mitigation strategies and technologies.
• In this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with RBC partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide

What must you have to succeed?

Must-haves:

• 3+ years’ experience in a risk management, product or channel role
• Excellent communication skills, experience presenting to executive audiences
• Financial services industry experience with banking product knowledge
• Ability to work on problems of complex and diverse scope, and identify creative alternatives
• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking with a proven ability to source, analyze and summarize transactional and financial data
• Demonstrated skill in developing processes, using creative analytical, problem solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint and highly organized with ability to multitask and shift priorities. 
• Professional written and oral communication skills
• In this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with RBC partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide.
