Role Overview

This role will be seated in our third-party (3P) Marketplace leadership group in Taiwan, reporting to the Head of Marketplace Business Domain. you will be responsible for our sales development and category management teams onboarding anchor sellers based on each category vertical integration with the Taiwan market, and growing sellers to succeed at Coupang Marketplace in Taiwan. In this role, you will build and manage a high performing team that drives revenue growth through best-in-class seller experiences. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and lead a marketplace category management team from the ground up and make a significant impact on Coupang’s growth in Taiwan.

What You Will Do

• Manage Category Management division to develop sellers and product selection for each category, carry out category’s P&L and sales performance.
• Partner with the Seller Acquisition team to onboard anchor sellers and develop a full spectrum of strategic seller profile, build seller success for every category.
• Support Head of Marketplace Business’s leadership, provide category management direction, strategies, guidance, and support to foster a high-performance culture in a high growth phase.
• Establish clear team objectives and ensure all members understand their roles in achieving these targets.
• Regularly assess team performance, offer constructive feedback, and implement strategies for continuous improvement and high performance.
• Identify process and policy gaps within the teams and conduct effective communication or project sessions to enhance competencies and professional growth of Coupang Marketplace.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring processes run smoothly, efficiency and align with organizational standards and goals.

Basic Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketplace management, distribution, or related fields, with a proven track record of scaling 3P seller business. Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams.
• Has experience of leadership roles at 3P Marketplace platforms in Taiwan is a plus.
• Comprehensive understanding of e-commerce ecosystems, including seller dynamics and an ability to leverage this knowledge for strategic growth.
• Knowledge of logistics, fulfillment processes, and supply chain operations, particularly 3P marketplace environments.
• Proven ability to negotiate and foster long-term partnerships with 3P sellers, suppliers and other stakeholders, driving mutual growth and customer satisfaction.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross functional teams to execute complex marketplace projects effectively.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to leverage data insights to inform business decisions, improve processes and optimize team performance.
• A strong commitment to delivering exceptional results for customers, aligning seller operations with the company’s customer-first (wow the customer) approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, verbal Mandarin language is mandatory.
