Sobre esta vaga de Digital Navigator & Podcast Technician (Community Resource EnVision Center) na Lead For America
Note: This is a full-time ACC AmeriCorps position with Community Resource EnVision Center.
About the American Connection Corps:
The American Connection Corps (ACC), an AmeriCorps program of Lead For America (LFA), is a service fellowship program aimed at helping communities build the digital connectivity necessary to expand opportunity and economic mobility, ranging from healthcare access to quality employment.
ACC Members serve with locally-rooted organizations, helping address the digital divide and strengthen access to opportunity. Through their service, they gain hands-on experience, build in-demand skills, and explore career pathways while making a tangible impact in their communities.
About Community Resource EnVision Center
The Community Resource EnVision Center is a nonprofit hub that serves as a single point of entry for residents of Bonner and Boundary Counties seeking assistance. Formerly known as the Sandpoint Community Resource Center, it is a HUD-designated "EnVision Center," meaning it focuses on a holistic approach to helping people achieve long-term self-sufficiency rather than just providing one-time emergency aid.
Position Overview
The ACC Member will serve as our primary Digital Navigator, providing direct, one-on-one support to community members in mastering essential technology, including mobile devices, laptops, and internet navigation. By developing and leading targeted digital literacy workshops, the Member will help seniors and other community members access telehealth and assist low-income families in navigating online educational resources. They will also act as a lead advocate for clients navigating the federal Lifeline program, assisting eligible clients through the application process to ensure affordable home connectivity for community members.
To ensure long-term community impact, the Member will focus on organizational capacity building by developing training modules that empower staff and volunteers at local partner organizations to meet the evolving digital needs of our residents. Additionally, the Member will support the development and implementation of a more robust, user-friendly digital resource portal and an integrated client database. This modern infrastructure will streamline how residents access essential services, making our outreach more data-driven, accessible, and sustainable long after the service year concludes.
This member will also support podcast production activities, utilizing our podcast equipment, to empower local community members and nonprofits with the opportunity to engage in digital marketing and raise awareness for their causes, bridging the gap between technology that may be otherwise inaccessible to them, and their goals of community engagement.
