Dietary Cook

Sunnyvale Gardens Post Acute is seeking a skilled and reliable Dietary Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals that meet the specific dietary needs of our residents in a healthcare setting.

Job Overview

• Pay Rate: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour

• Job Type: Full-time

• Schedule: 4:30 AM – 1:00 PM

• Days: Varying days across the week with rotating weekend shifts

• Location: Sunnyvale Gardens Post Acute

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and prescribed therapeutic diets.

• Ensure proper portion control and appealing food presentation for residents.

• Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards in the kitchen.

• Set up workstations and prepare ingredients for daily meal services.

• Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Experience: Required experience cooking in a healthcare environment (e.g., skilled nursing, assisted living, or hospital).

• Knowledge: Understanding of therapeutic diets, texture modifications, and food safety regulations.

• Skills: Ability to read recipes, manage time efficiently, and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Availability: Must be able to work the early morning shift (4:30 AM) and participate in the weekend rotation.

• Physical: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
