Customer Pricing Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical Customer Pricing Analyst to join our Central Pricing Organization. This role serves as a strategic partner to Sales, Business Units, and Commercial Leadership by applying advanced quantitative analysis, pricing science, and commercial modeling techniques to optimize revenue growth, gross margin performance, and market competitiveness.

The successful candidate will leverage large and complex datasets to develop sophisticated pricing models, identify commercial opportunities, evaluate customer buying behavior, and provide data-driven recommendations that directly influence business strategy and financial performance. This position requires strong analytical problem-solving capabilities, commercial acumen, and the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable pricing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the lead pricing analyst for assigned strategic customer accounts, providing advanced pricing recommendations based on quantitative analysis, market intelligence, customer segmentation, and profitability modeling.
• Develop and maintain complex pricing algorithms, financial models, and scenario-based simulations to evaluate customer agreements, volume commitments, promotional programs, rebates, and strategic contract opportunities.
• Analyze large-scale transactional datasets to identify pricing optimization opportunities, margin improvement initiatives, competitive positioning gaps, and revenue enhancement strategies.
• Support annual customer pricing negotiations through comprehensive analysis of historical pricing trends, demand forecasts, elasticity modeling, market conditions, competitive benchmarks, customer lifecycle value, and profitability metrics.
• Conduct advanced variance analysis and price leakage investigations, utilizing data mining techniques to identify unauthorized discounting patterns, contract deviations, pricing anomalies, and potential revenue recovery opportunities.
• Partner with Sales, Business Units, Finance, Marketing, and Operations teams to drive evidence-based pricing strategies that align with company growth objectives and profitability targets.
• Utilize business intelligence platforms and analytical tools to develop dashboards, KPIs, predictive analytics, and executive reporting that support strategic pricing decisions.
• Perform detailed commercial and financial analysis to support value-based pricing strategies across semiconductor products, software solutions, systems offerings, and strategic customer engagements.
• Apply pricing governance frameworks to ensure compliance with corporate pricing policies, contractual requirements, export controls, licensing requirements, NDAs, and commercial approval processes.
• Present complex analytical findings and commercial recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions and long-term pricing direction.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in pricing analytics, revenue management, commercial analytics, financial modeling, sales operations, business intelligence, management consulting, or a highly analytical business environment.

Technical & Analytical Skills

• Strong quantitative and statistical analysis skills with demonstrated experience transforming large datasets into actionable business insights.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex financial models, scenario analysis, and data visualization.
• Experience utilizing analytical and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SAP Analytics, Model N, Pricefx, SQL, Python, Alteryx, or similar business intelligence and analytics platforms.
• Experience developing predictive models, profitability frameworks, pricing simulations, forecasting methodologies, and revenue optimization strategies.
• Strong understanding of pricing methodologies including value-based pricing, portfolio pricing, customer segmentation, elasticity analysis, and margin optimization.
• Ability to synthesize complex financial, operational, and market data into executive-level recommendations.

• Demonstrated ability to influence commercial strategy through analytical insights and evidence-based decision making.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across global, cross-functional teams.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with experience explaining complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven track record of identifying process improvement opportunities and driving data-driven business transformation initiatives.
