Credit Assurance Specialist

You'll work closely with our credit teams to assess and mitigate risks, providing assurance that our lending decisions are informed and responsible. To succeed in this role, you'll need to build strong relationships with our credit teams and stakeholders, providing expert guidance and assurance on credit risk management. You'll need to stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements, and be able to communicate complex risk issues in a clear and concise manner. Your ability to analyze data, identify risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies will be critical to your success.

What you do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and analyzing credit proposals to identify potential risks and areas for improvement
- Providing assurance on the effectiveness of credit risk management processes and controls
- Conducting regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential losses
- Collaborating with credit teams to develop and implement credit risk management frameworks and policies

- Provide risk management guidance and support to business units

- Develop and maintain risk management policies and procedures

- Collaborating with commercial banking teams to identify and assess credit risk

- Staying up-to-date with market trends and regulatory requirements

Who you are
- A degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration
- At least 3 years of experience in credit risk management or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify potential risks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of credit risk management principles and practices, including regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines
