Sobre esta vaga de Content Editor Body+Soul na News Corp Australia
What's the role?
We are looking for a highly skilled Content Editor to lead the digital future of Australia’s largest health and wellbeing media brand.
Reporting to the Content Director, you will act as the core digital thinker responsible for the daily editorial excellence of the Body+Soul digital ecosystem. You will steer the brand's digital assets – encompassing video, social media channels, and newsletters – to deliver sustained audience growth, engagement and commercial results.
This leadership position requires seamless collaboration with direct reports including the Content Producer, Audience Producer and Video Editor, as well as diverse stakeholders across commercial, marketing, editorial and product teams.
Responsibilities
- Commission, edit and curate content for site verticals and social platforms to lead the daily wellness conversation.
- Spearhead digital strategy and execution across daily publishing workflows, major tentpole features, live events, and special projects.
- Monitor national and international news outlets daily to pitch trending stories tailored to a mass consumer audience.
- Oversee digital production alongside the broader production team to ensure all content is platform-native, visually arresting, and drives high-quality referrals.
- Utilise data-driven insights to refine the overarching editorial direction and contribute directly to high-level strategic planning.
- Deliver best-in-class content concepts and authoritative headlines that build brand loyalty while generating revenue for commercial partners.
Who are you?
- You are a natural leader with 3-5 years of experience in a senior digital role.
- You have a strong track record in health, wellness, fitness and lifestyle news, along with expert content creation, social media and audience development skills.
- Your fluency in analytics allows you to seamlessly translate complex performance metrics into sophisticated, data-led editorial strategies.
- You know that SEO has evolved, making you an expert at crafting content that thrives across traditional keyword targeting, Google Discover, and emerging search trends.
- Staying ahead of the social curve is second nature to you, and you know exactly how to utilise digital trends to spark reactions and build community.
- You communicate with sophistication, constantly taking the initiative to manage strict deadlines and collaborate effectively with diverse cross-functional teams.
- Your strong aesthetic sensibility is backed by a required proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Photoshop) and WordPress CMS environments.
*Application Requirement: To be considered for this role, you must attach a digital portfolio featuring case studies of websites or digital media platforms you have managed. This portfolio must include a brief outline of the strategic initiatives you implemented that directly led to measurable audience and brand growth.
