Sobre esta vaga de Business Operations Manager na Faraday Norton
About Fractual
Fractual is an investment technology company and a subsidiary of Faraday Norton, focused on making alternative investments more accessible, transparent, and efficient. Its digital platform connects investors with opportunities across real estate, private equity, private credit, and other alternative asset classes. By combining financial technology, investment structuring, and digital asset infrastructure, Fractual is simplifying how alternative investments are accessed, managed, and distributed.
As we scale, we are seeking an experienced Business Operations Manager to build the operational foundation of the company and support its next phase of growth.
The Role
As Fractual’s Business Operations Manager, you will be the operating backbone of a growing investment platform. You will turn the founders’ priorities into plans, build the processes and controls that let us scale, and make sure the platform, our partners, and our investors work together smoothly. Reporting to the founding team, you will work across product, technology, business development, finance, legal, and external partners.
This is a hands-on role with broad scope and real ownership. It combines company-building (process, planning, reporting, vendors, team structure) with improving how investors move through the platform, from onboarding and subscription to ongoing servicing. Experience in financial services is valued.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations, Processes & Controls
- Oversee day-to-day operations and own the company’s operating rhythm: planning cycles, management meetings, and follow-through on decisions.
- Design and implement scalable processes and workflows across the company, from investor onboarding to internal approvals.
- Embed operational controls with clear ownership and audit-ready documentation, suited to the requirements of regulated financial activity.
- Identify inefficiencies and prioritize improvements, including automation, by their impact on speed, cost, and risk.
- Maintain SOPs and internal policies, and keep them current as the company scales.
2. Cross-Functional Coordination & Project Management
- Translate the founders' business priorities into clear operational plans.
- Lead projects involving multiple departments, external partners, and service providers.
- Track milestones, deadlines, and deliverables, and keep teams aligned through clear communication.
- Anticipate bottlenecks and resolve them proactively.
- Support the execution of strategic initiatives and expansion plans.
3. Partner & Vendor Management
- Own relationships with the external partners the platform depends on, including legal, accounting, compliance, and identity-verification providers.
- Run vendor selection, onboarding, and renewal, from due diligence through to contract terms.
- Define service levels and monitor partner quality, cost, and performance against them.
- Embed partners into internal workflows with clear hand-offs, ownership, and escalation paths.
4. Business Administration & Financial Coordination
- Support budgeting, expense monitoring, and operational cost management, and flag overspend early.
- Coordinate with accounting and finance on financial reporting and administrative requirements.
- Manage corporate records, procurement, vendor payments, and contract administration.
- Maintain financial approval workflows and expense controls, and identify cost optimization opportunities.
5. Performance Management & Reporting
- Define and monitor KPIs across operations and the investor journey, such as onboarding time, conversion, service levels, and cost to serve.
- Prepare regular management updates and operational reports.
- Track strategic initiatives against agreed objectives and owners, and escalate risks early.
- Build the reporting processes that give the founders clear visibility and support data-driven decisions.
6. Organizational Development
- Help design the organizational structure, roles, and reporting lines as the team grows.
- Run recruitment logistics, new-hire onboarding, and HR administration, working with HR and external providers.
- Clarify ownership and decision rights across teams, and set the communication routines that keep them aligned.
- Select and roll out internal tools and collaboration systems.
7. Product & Investor Operations
- Partner with product and technology so that business processes are supported by the platform, and raise and prioritize platform gaps.
- Map and improve the investor journey, from onboarding and KYC through subscription and ongoing servicing.
- Define the operational requirements for new products, features, and offerings before launch.
- Turn feedback from investors, internal teams, and partners into prioritized improvements.
- Build scalable investor support and servicing workflows.
Experience with investment platforms, investor onboarding, or financial-services customer journeys is an advantage in this area.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business operations, operations management, project management, business administration, or a similar role.
- Track record of developing and implementing operational processes in a growing organization.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Professional fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a startup, scale-up, fintech, or technology-driven company.
- Background at an investment firm, asset manager, financial institution, or investment technology platform.
- Understanding of the investor journey in financial services, including onboarding, KYC/AML, investment subscriptions, and ongoing servicing.
- Familiarity with financial-services operations and regulatory environments.
- Experience implementing automation tools, CRM systems, or workflow management platforms.
- Experience supporting international operations or working with cross-border partners.
- Familiarity with operational reporting, budgeting, and financial administration.
Benefits
- The opportunity to join a growing investment technology company at a formative stage.
- Direct collaboration with Fractual's founders and leadership team.
- Significant ownership of the company's operational processes and infrastructure.
- A voice in business strategy and organizational development.
- Exposure to international financial markets, fintech, and alternative investments.
- An entrepreneurial environment with clear opportunities for professional growth.
- The potential to grow into a senior operations leadership position as the company expands.
Who We're Looking For
You are organized, proactive, and hands-on, and you take ownership. You enjoy bringing structure to growing organizations, improving processes, and making sure things get done. You do not need to be an investment professional. What matters most is your ability to run business operations, solve problems, and build efficient workflows that help the company scale. If you also understand how customers interact with investment platforms, that is an added advantage.
