Sobre esta vaga de Software Developer - Internal Automation Tools na Faraday Norton
Faraday Norton is a privately owned investment group with investments across energy, real estate, and technology in Greece and internationally. We apply technology to improve how our businesses operate, supporting better processes, more efficient teams, and new business opportunities.
We are looking for a Software Developer to build internal tools that reduce repetitive work, connect our systems, and help teams operate more efficiently across the group.
You will work closely with the Operations Manager and colleagues across multiple departments to understand their needs, identify opportunities for automation, and deliver practical solutions. Your work will support different departmental workflows, from data management and reporting to document processing and coordination between teams.
You will take solutions through the full development lifecycle, from defining requirements and building prototypes to deployment, monitoring, and ongoing improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Operations Manager to identify, prioritize, and deliver automation projects across multiple departments.
- Understand how each department works and translate operational needs into clear technical requirements.
- Build and maintain internal applications, dashboards, scripts, and automated workflows.
- Connect business systems through APIs, webhooks, and database integrations.
- Automate data collection, validation, reporting, and document processing.
- Improve information sharing and handoffs between departments.
- Develop simple interfaces that colleagues can use confidently.
- Use AI tools and services where they provide practical value, while validating outputs and maintaining appropriate controls.
- Test, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot solutions, with attention to reliability and data accuracy.
- Manage access permissions, document solutions, and support colleagues in adopting new tools.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software development experience using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or a comparable language.
- Experience working with APIs, SQL databases, and third-party integrations.
- Ability to build and deploy applications, including basic web interfaces.
- Familiarity with Git, testing, debugging, and software maintenance.
- Ability to understand business processes and identify practical ways to improve them.
- Good judgment about when to build a custom solution and when to use an existing tool.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership through delivery.
- Clear communication and confidence working with colleagues without a technical background.
Nice to Have
- Experience building internal tools or automating workflows across different departments.
- Experience integrating CRM, finance, project management, or document management systems.
- Familiarity with AI APIs, document extraction, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience with cloud hosting, scheduled jobs, and application monitoring.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation based on experience and skills.
- Opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth.
- Exposure to projects across different industries and business functions.
- Ownership of tools that have a direct impact on how our teams work.
- An entrepreneurial environment where practical ideas can become working solutions.
