As the Head of Business Development for Roblox in Japan, you will be a driving force behind our content and market expansion. You will focus on bringing the most sought-after Japanese IPs to the Roblox platform while establishing high-impact, strategic partnerships to scale our local footprint.
You will report directly to the Head of Japan for Roblox. Roblox Japan is fully integrated into Roblox Global and is part of the International Division of Roblox Global.
You Will:
- Identify and secure premium Japanese IPs for the Roblox platform.
- Lead end-to-end deal negotiations with content owners and studios.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key local partners and app stores.
- Design and execute strategies to accelerate market growth in Japan.
- Drive the growth of prepaid card sales in Japan, working closely with the global prepaid cards team and local retail partners, including convenience store networks across the country.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful partnership launches.
You Have:
- Extensive experience in business development, partnerships, or content acquisition.
- Deep knowledge of the Japanese entertainment, media, and IP landscape.
- Proven track record of negotiating complex agreements.
- Established network of industry contacts across Japan.
- Professional fluency in both Japanese and English.
You Are:
A strategic and relationship-oriented business development professional with a strong understanding of the Japanese market and a passion for building partnerships that drive content and market growth.
Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
