Overview

About the Role
- Within IDEA — Intelligence, Data, Engineering & Analytics — this hands-on role supports business users with reporting, analysis, and data questions under the Analytics & Decision Support function.
What Success Looks Like
- Deliver accurate reports on time, resolve routine requests independently, and communicate findings and blockers clearly.
Typical Day-to-Day
- Clarify and prioritize business data requests.
- Prepare reports, investigate discrepancies, and explain findings.
- Coordinate fixes, validate changes, and document resolutions.
Key Objectives for This Role (Quarterly Focus)
- Learn WBL’s data and lending processes, take ownership of assigned reports, and improve recurring workflows.
What You'll Be Doing (Core Responsibilities)
- Support business teams with reporting, data analysis, and day-to-day data requests.
- Prepare and maintain recurring management reports, dashboards, KPIs, and other analytical outputs.
- Perform ad hoc analysis to answer business questions and support operational and management decision-making.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting and data needs and translate them into clear analytical requirements.
- Investigate data questions, discrepancies, and reporting issues and coordinate with the appropriate data or technology teams to resolve them.
- Review data and reporting outputs for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Support the development and documentation of enterprise KPIs, metric definitions, and reporting standards.
- Help business users understand and effectively use available data, reports, and self-service analytical tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve, simplify, and automate recurring reporting and analytical processes.
- Assist with testing and validation of new reports, datasets, metrics, and analytical products.
- Support other analytical projects and initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, analytics, information systems, or a related field.
- Required Experience
- Python or similar analytical programming experience is required.
- Experience working with SQL strongly preferred.
- Experience with reporting, visualization, analytics, or business intelligence tools preferred.
- AI-assisted analysis or coding experience is a plus
- Technical Skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business questions into data-driven analysis.
- Soft Skills
- 100% fluency in English, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Proactive approach, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred Background / Industry Experience
- Experience in lending or financial services, business-user support, and data reconciliation preferred.
