Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Band 8 Clinical Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team in Northwest London. This is an excellent opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading private healthcare hospitals, providing specialist clinical pharmacy services and supporting the safe, effective, and patient-centred use of medicines.

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care, support medicines optimisation, and ensure the highest standards of clinical practice across inpatient services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist clinical pharmacy services across designated wards and clinical areas.
• Review prescriptions and support the safe and effective use of medicines.
• Undertake clinical medication reviews and medicines reconciliation activities.
• Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to consultants, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Support medicines optimisation initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
• Contribute to safe discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Participate in clinical governance, audit, and service improvement activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Have substantial hospital pharmacy experience.
• Demonstrate experience working at Band 8 level or equivalent.
• Possess strong clinical knowledge across a broad range of therapeutic areas.
• Be confident working independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Have excellent communication, organisational, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Experience within a private healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.
