We're hiring a Azure Platform Engineer as part of Merkle in Sofia. 

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Azure Platform Engineer to help build, configure, and support enterprise-grade Azure platforms. This is a hands-on role focused primarily on Azure PaaS services, requiring someone who can work independently, interpret architecture documentation, and deliver secure, production-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Azure PaaS services across development, test, and production environments.
• Configure application hosting services, networking, security, monitoring, and private connectivity.
• Implement Azure platform components according to established architecture and governance standards.
• Troubleshoot platform, networking, and deployment issues.
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and operational requirements.
• Document implementations and collaborate with architects and engineering teams.

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure PaaS services.
• Experience deploying and supporting enterprise-scale Azure environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, security, and platform services.

Technical Skills

Experience with most of the following:

• Azure App Service, Functions, Container Apps, Container Registry
• Azure Front Door, WAF, API Management
• Virtual Networks, NSGs, NAT Gateway, Private Endpoints, Private DNS
• Managed Identity, Key Vault, App Configuration
• Azure SQL, Storage Accounts, Data Factory
• Application Insights, Log Analytics, Azure Monitoring and Alerting
