Your Role

As Area Sales Manager Europe, you will be responsible for driving the commercial growth of IHC Dredging across Europe. You will develop and execute the regional market strategy, build long-term relationships with customers and partners, and lead complex sales processes from initial engagement through to contract signature. You will have end-to-end ownership of the customer journey.

As a trusted advisor at executive and management level, you will translate customer challenges related to efficiency, sustainability, and investment into differentiated Royal IHC solutions. In doing so, you will work closely with technical experts, project teams, and service organizations.

You will report to the Dredging Directors (Standard Vessels & Custom Vessels) and play a key role in strengthening Royal IHC's market position and commercial success across Europe.

What You Will Do

• Develop and execute the European sales strategy, including account plans, forecasts, and sales objectives.
• Strengthen Royal IHC's position in the European market by monitoring industry developments and identifying new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain a strong network of customers, partners, and key stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers and contribute to their long-term success.
• Identify and pursue sales opportunities, lead proposal processes, and coordinate internal teams during tenders and negotiations.

What You Bring

• A proven track record in a senior commercial or business development role within the maritime, dredging, offshore, or capital equipment industry.
• An established network within the European maritime sector.
• The ability to build and maintain strong relationships at operational, tactical, and strategic levels.
• Experience selling technical products or capital equipment and managing complex contract negotiations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to align, guide, and engage multidisciplinary teams throughout the sales process.
• An entrepreneurial mindset combined with a strong focus on results and business growth.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch; additional European languages are an advantage.
• Based in the Netherlands and willing to travel regularly throughout Europe (25%+).
