Job Summary:
Learns and assists with drywall taping and finishing under close supervision. Supports crew members in preparing work areas, mixing materials, and performing basic taping tasks while developing technical and safety skills. Builds foundational knowledge of surface preparation, compound application, and finishing methods essential for high-quality wall finishes. Contributes to team productivity by maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas.

Key Responsibilities:
Assists in preparing materials, tools, and work areas for taping and finishing activities.
Supports experienced tapers in applying joint compound and tape to drywall seams and corners.
Learns proper methods for sanding, feathering, and finishing to achieve smooth, consistent surfaces.
Observes and follows instructions to develop understanding of techniques, tools, and safety practices.
Maintains a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment throughout all project phases.
Follows DPR’s safety policies and PPE requirements at all times.
Participates in structured on-the-job and classroom training to develop trade skills and understanding of project quality standards.

Education Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.

Work Experience:
0–2 years of experience in drywall taping, finishing, or a related field required.

Certifications and Licenses:
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-Hour Construction certification preferred. OSHA 10 program completion within 6 months of hire is required.
