Overview:

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Administration is hiring a Full-time, day-shift Administrative Assistant II to support Vice President and Senior Directors.

Hours/Shift: Full-time day shift, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Position Location: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk, VA

Perform a variety of administrative tasks aimed to optimize the time and performance of a manager or employees of a department; higher level roles will work for higher level managers or departments. Tasks may involve acting as a first point of contact, dealing with correspondence and phone calls, managing diaries, organizing meetings and appointments, preparing documents or reports, and controlling access to the manager or the department. May involve dealing with confidential information.

Job Qualifications:

Education

• High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• Administrative Assistant or Executive Secretary experience preferred to support Vice President and Senior Directors (Strongly Preferred)

• Strong Microsoft Office Skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (Strongly Preferred)

• 4-6 months basic experience of simple office / operational systems (Required); 2 years of experience (Preferred)

• Excellent Organization Skills (Preferred)

• EPIC Experience (Preferred)

• Familiar with Clinical Operations (Preferred)
