About the team

Innovaccer builds AI agents for healthcare that automate administrative work, so care teams can get back to care. As a Lead Product Designer, you'll design the interfaces and workflows that make that autonomy usable, trustworthy, and clear for the organizations who rely on it. This is an individual contributor role. You’ll independently own complex design projects, work closely with product and engineering, and contribute to the quality of the broader product and design team.

Product Management at Innovaccer

The Product team at Innovaccer designs AI-native solutions for healthcare providers, payers, and government organizations: agentic workflows that automate complex clinical and operational processes, intelligent systems that replace manual work at scale, and data infrastructure that makes all of it possible. Every product decision here is a bet on what AI-native healthcare infrastructure needs to look like next, positioning Innovaccer as the autonomous operations platform leader.

Requirements

Own the product experience

Lead design end to end for one or more product areas

Design for data-dense, high-stakes clinical and operational workflows

Find the patterns underneath one-off requests and turn them into reusable solutions

Design using the medium that best solves the problem: Figma, Claude Code, etc

Use AI throughout the design process

Hand off to engineering with clarity and collaborate throughout the implementation

Review, iterate, improve

Raise the craft bar without managing anyone

Give specific, actionable design critique to designers across teams

Mentor 2 to 3 designers through pairing, coaching, unblocking, and career conversations

Facilitate design workshops, sprints, and critiques to drive decisions

Model good collaboration behavior for the team

Strengthen the design system -

Contribute new components, patterns, and styles

Help evolve our design principles

Work in tokens and shared foundations across Figma and code

Build modular experiences that work across products, use cases, and users

Drive the product

Advocate for the user

Plan and conduct generative and evaluative research independently

Favor small, testable releases that create learning over large design changes

Shape product’s roadmap and goals

What You'll Need

Experience leading complex products from ambiguous problems to impact

Strong instincts, taste, and care for detail

Comfortable across design mediums: Figma, Paper, Claude Code, or similar

You are a systems thinker who can zoom out and see parts and the whole

You have worked with and contributed to a mature design system

You have mentored designers through influence rather than authority

Design is good communication. You should be able to communicate effectively

5+ years of industry experience designing solutions for web, mobile, and desktop.

Nice to have

You have designed great products with small teams

You can become fluent quickly in regulated domains like healthcare

Diverse set of skills and experience

You are a designer who can code

Writing, teaching, or speaking publicly about design
