We are looking for a Staff Quantum Control Hardware Engineer to join our Networking, Sensing, and Security division. As a Staff Engineer, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team whose mission is to lead IonQ on its journey to build the world’s best quantum computers and networked systems to solve the world’s most complex problems.  

In this role, you will design the critical physical layer interface for next-generation quantum networking nodes and high-precision sensing devices. You will build the low-noise, high-precision mixed-signal hardware necessary to control optical sources and read single-photon detectors with the fidelity required for secure quantum communication and entanglement distribution. This is an exciting opportunity to define the hardware architecture that will enable the future of the quantum internet and ultra-secure communications.

Responsibilities: 

• Design and develop low-noise, high-precision mixed-signal circuit boards (DACs/ADCs) to drive optical modulators and laser sources for quantum networking protocols. 
• Engineer ultra-low-noise readout interfaces for single-photon detectors used in Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and sensing applications.  
• Ensure hardware designs maintain the signal integrity and coherence required to preserve quantum states during transmission and transduction.  
• Collaborate closely with FPGA Engineers to receive timing specifications and deliver signal conditioning specs for synchronization across network nodes. 
• Lead the full hardware lifecycle from schematic capture and PCB layout to simulation, testing, and system integration within a sensing or security testbed.  
• Troubleshoot complex hardware interactions to minimize phase noise and jitter in networking hardware.  
• Mentor junior hardware engineers and drive technical decision-making regarding the physical layer architecture for security products.

We are seeking a Senior Technical Director, Advanced Mission Critical Electronics to define and lead the development of our next-generation computing, sensing, and communications architectures.

This role requires a leader who challenges the status quo of "traditional space." We are looking for an expert who champions the adoption of modern, commercially derived electronics (COTS) for spaceborne applications over legacy "rad-hard by design" practices. You will drive the development of systems that span defense and commercial applications across all domains—from surface to airborne—with a specific, intense focus on spaceborne applications at all orbits (LEO, MEO, GEO, and cislunar).

You will be joining the Advanced Technology Development team, a specialized unit within our Strategic Growth and Technology Organization. We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead PCB design within the Agentic Computational Engineering (ACE) platform team and to encode the realities of space-electronics PCB design and manufacturing directly into our generative engine. In this role, you will own end-to-end PCB design — schematic capture, stackup definition, high-speed and mixed-signal layout, signal and power integrity, fabrication and assembly readiness — for flight hardware, and translate that hard-won expertise into the constraints, heuristics, and feedback loops that let our AI agents design boards that can actually be built, qualified, and flown.

You will work at the intersection of PCB design, space-grade manufacturing, and AI — pairing your own hands-on board work with software development that captures DfM, DfA, and DfT considerations as code. This role is ideal for someone who has personally laid out flight boards, knows what fabricators and assembly houses actually need to see on a drawing package, and is excited to guide the team and write the software that lets an agent reason about those same trade-offs. • Frame the problem space for the team: catalogue the design and manufacturing decisions a senior PCB engineer makes on a flight program (substrate and stackup, SI/PI, DfM/DfA/DfT, parts derating, fab and assembly liaison, qualification) and translate each into structured problems an agent can solve autonomously.

The avionics system is the backbone of highly reusable, operable, and reliable space systems. As an Avionics Mechanical Engineer at an early-stage start-up you will be responsible for developing mechanical solutions for component packaging and launch vehicle integration of flight avionics hardware. You will work closely with the avionics development, structures, and production teams to design and implement those solutions, and continuously iterate to improve your designs. You will seek out state-of-the-art solutions to difficult problems and you will assist in the definition of company standards for avionics development. You must be ready to stay focused, move fast, self-direct, and learn on the fly.

Responsibilities

• Design, manufacture, and test packaging for flight avionics, electronics, and electro-mechanical actuators
• Design, manufacture, analyze, and integrate launch vehicle harness routing and secondary structure, ensure these systems are structurally capable of surviving vehicle load cases. Create CAD models and drawings

We are seeking an Avionics Mechanical Manager to lead the design and development of mechanical solutions for component packaging and launch vehicle integration of flight avionics hardware for Nova’s first and second stages. We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to build the frontend and backend of the Agentic Computational Engineering platform. In this role, you will create high-performance full stack web applications that allow engineers to steer AI agents, visualize complex physics and CAD data, and collaborate with AI agents in real time.

You will work across the stack, with an emphasis on performance, 3D visualization, and intuitive UX for technical users. This role is ideal for someone who loves building tools for other engineers and who wants to make the reasoning and actions of AI systems transparent.

You will be joining the Agentic Computational Engineering (ACE) team, a specialized group within our Advanced Technology Development organization. ACE is responsible for building Voyager’s Generative Engine – the AI-native platform that compresses complex hardware development cycles from years to days. We design agentic AI systems that pair deeply with physics simulation, test data, and modern manufacturing so that Design for Manufacturing (DfM), Design for Assembly (DfA), and Design for Test (DfT) are built into the very first line of code and the very first sketch of a design.

Responsibilities: 

• Design and build web applications that serve as mission control for ACE, with a focus on responsiveness and usability for expert users.
• Implement high-fidelity 2D/3D visualizations (e.g., CAD models, PCB layouts, CFD fields) using technologies such as Three.js, WebGL, or WebGPU.

What you’ll bring

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• 9–12+ years designing, integrating, and optimizing wireless RF solutions for battery-powered and vehicular embedded products deployed in real-world environments (e.g., drones, automotive-mounted systems, mobile devices, action cameras)

YOUR IMPACT

As a Senior RF Engineer II on the Wireless & Connectivity Center of Excellence (CoE) team, you will lead the design and development of advanced wireless connectivity solutions across Axon’s product portfolio — including Body-Worn Cameras, in-vehicle systems, wearables, and other next-generation platforms.

You will own RF architecture and implementation across a broad range of wireless technologies — from integration of Wi-Fi + Bluetooth combo modules to detailed chip-down cellular designs — spanning PCB layout, RF routing, matching networks, and antenna port optimization. Your deep expertise in LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, and related wireless systems will be applied to hands-on design, validation, and performance optimization of mission-critical video and communications products serving law enforcement, public safety, and enterprise customers.

You will leverage your technical depth, disciplined engineering approach, passion for wireless innovation, and strong ownership mindset to deliver robust, high-performance designs that meet the demanding reliability and coexistence requirements of real-world public safety environments.
