OVERVIEW

The Alo HR Director, Distribution Center operations leads the human resources strategy and execution for multiple U.S. distribution center and warehouse facilities. This role partners closely with operations leadership to build a high-performing, compliant, and engaged workforce across a fast-paced, multi-site environment. 

The HR Director is responsible for workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, training, engagement, and organizational effectiveness for distribution center operations. This role also supports a multilingual employee population and helps ensure consistent HR practices across all sites. 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Lead HR strategy and day-to-day HR support for multiple U.S. distribution center and warehouse locations.
• Lead, coach, and develop site HR team members across multiple U.S. distribution center locations, including setting priorities, building capability, and driving accountability.
• Partner with operations and site leadership to align workforce plans with business needs, labor demand, peak season requirements, and long-term operational goals.
• Develop and execute recruiting and retention strategies for hourly and salaried distribution center roles.
• Collaborate with site leaders to identify staffing needs and drive effective onboarding, orientation, and new hire integration.
• Build and sustain a positive, inclusive, and high-accountability workplace culture across all facilities.
• Provide leadership and guidance on employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective action, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and standards.
• Develop, implement, and update HR policies, procedures, and programs to support operational consistency and legal compliance.
• Partner with leaders to drive performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, coaching, and development planning.
• Identify talent needs and build succession planning and career development pathways within distribution center operations.
• Design and support training initiatives that enhance frontline leadership capability, employee performance, and operational effectiveness.
• Partner with Health and Safety and operations teams to reinforce a strong culture of safety and reduce workplace incidents.
• Use workforce data and HR metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and make practical recommendations to leadership.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and action planning to improve retention, morale, and productivity.
• Oversee HR practices within warehouse operations in alignment with Fair Labor Association (FLA) standards, where applicable.
• Help uphold the company’s workplace code of conduct, grievance mechanisms, and remediation processes across distribution center operations. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• Master’s degree or Human Resources certification preferred.
• Significant progressive HR leadership experience, preferably supporting multi-site warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or logistics operations.
• Experience supporting bilingual English- and Spanish-speaking employee populations strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and employment law.
• Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and build credibility in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to support decisions and recommendations.
• Ability to travel to multiple U.S. facilities as needed.
• Spanish fluency preferred or required, depending on business need.

The Site Director is responsible for end-to-end leadership of a high-volume, fast-paced distribution center. This role ensures exceptional customer service through accurate, same-day/next-day order fulfillment while optimizing cost, speed, scalability, and safety. The Site Director drives operational excellence across people, processes, technology, and automation in an always-on fulfillment environment. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

E-Commerce Fulfillment Operations 

• Lead all fulfillment center operations including inbound receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and reverse logistics.
• Deliver high service levels for same-day, next-day, and peak-season order fulfillment (e.g., holidays, promotions).
• Ensure high order accuracy, fast cycle times, and consistent customer experience across all channels.

Peak & Capacity Management 

• Own peak planning and execution (holiday surges, flash sales, promotional events).
• Manage labor forecasting, flex staffing models, and capacity planning to meet demand volatility.
• Develop contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted operations during demand spikes or system outages.

People Leadership & Culture 

• Build and lead a high-performing leadership team in a 24/7 or extended-hours
• Drive employee engagement, retention, training, and career development.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all OSHA and workplace safety standards.

Technology & Automation 

• Oversee performance and optimization of WMS, OMS, TMS, labor management, and fulfillment technologies.
• Lead implementation and scaling of automation (sortation, robotics, AMRs, goods-to-person, packing automation).
• Partner with IT and engineering teams to improve system reliability and throughput.

Continuous Improvement & Execution 

• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles to improve speed, quality, and cost.
• Analyze fulfillmentKPIs such as units per hour, order cycle time, on-time ship rate, and cost per order. 
• Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for service failures and customer escalations.

Financial & Performance Ownership 

• Own the site budget, including labor, freight, packaging, maintenance, and capital expenditures.
• Deliver productivity gains and cost-per-order improvements while maintainingservice excellence. 
• Track and report site performance to senior leadership with clear action plans.

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

• Partner with E-Commerce, Merchandising, Transportation, Customer Experience, HR, Finance, and IT teams.
• Act as the primary site contact for executive leadership and third-party logistics partners (3PLs). 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’spreferred). 
• 8–12+ years of operations leadership experience in e-commerce, omnichannel, or high-volume fulfillment.
• Proven experience managing large, multi-shift teams in a fast-paced fulfillment environment 
• Deep understanding of e-commerce fulfillment workflows and last-mile delivery requirements.
• Strong data-driven decision-making and KPI management skills.
• Experience leading automation, technology, and change initiatives.
• Financial acumen with site-level P&L or budget ownership.

Experience in retail, fast-food, hospitality, administrative, or warehouse/production roles is highly transferable and valued.

Who you are

Metropolis is seeking an Financial Systems Administrator to join our team. You will manage, maintain, and optimize our Oracle Cloud EPM (EPBCS) ecosystem while serving as the strategic bridge between our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization and our centralized Data Engineering teams. In our high-velocity, 5,000-location enterprise, financial accuracy is inextricably linked to operational data. You will not only handle traditional EPM administration but also partner directly with data and operational teams to define technical requirements for integrating non-financial KPIs—such as location churn, new facility onboardings, occupancy rates, and transaction counts—directly from our data warehouse into our financial forecasting models. The ideal candidate brings a strong grasp of EPM architecture, SQL data structures, and the communication skills required to translate complex operational metrics into actionable financial drivers.

What you'll do

• Oversee the end-to-end administration, configuration, and continuous optimization of the Oracle Cloud EPM suite (EPBCS)
• Design, build, and troubleshoot Essbase ASO/BSO cubes to support large-scale operational scenario planning
• Act as the primary technical translator between Finance and centralized Data/IT teams; partner with Data Engineering to define technical requirements, ensuring that data models in our data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake) are properly structured for seamless EPM ingestion
• Collaborate with data teams to ingest high-volume non-financial KPIs (e.g., transaction counts, location churn) into EPM planning cubes
• Troubleshoot integration workflows and perform root-cause analysis on data discrepancies using SQL and Python
• Replace static calculation scripts with dynamic, context-aware logic to optimize system performance across thousands of sparse locations
• Utilize EPM Automate alongside Python or batch scripting for complex job scheduling
• Manage the volatile lifecycle of 5,000+ operational locations; ensure location additions, divestitures, hierarchical changes and associated access permissions, synchronize flawlessly across ERP, CRM, and EPM environments
• Develop and maintain high-impact visualization dashboards (Tableau, Looker, Hex) with intuitive narratives to facilitate executive decision-making; provide user support, training, and documentation for supported applications

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of Oracle EPM (EPBCS/Planning) System Administration and development experience in a high-growth, multi-location enterprise
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of data integration tools (EPM Integration Agent, Data Management, EPM Automate) and deep understanding of dependencies between functional components of Oracle EPM
• Proficiency in SQL and Python with a proven track record of automating financial processes
• Must understand modern cloud data structures well enough to perform "handholding" and meaningful collaboration with Data Engineers
• Exceptional ability to bridge the gap between technical data architecture and functional financial insights

The Role

Xos is seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our Warehouse team. This is an exciting opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the success of the warehouse operations by ensuring the efficient movement and handling of materials within our facility.

To be a successful Material Handler at Xos, you should be able to receive, inspect and record shipments with raw material or products. You will be responsible for loading and unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match the orders. Ultimately, the Material Handler should be highly organized, have a great eye for detail, and able to manage incoming material to ensure we receive the correct packages.

Responsibilities 

• Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries.
• Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.
• Unload packages from incoming trucks.
• Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged.
• Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc).
• Contact the supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified.
• Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements.
• Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place.
• Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.
• Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallets, cranes, etc.
