We are seeking a motivated and versatile Production Support Engineer to join our Sydney office. What you will do:
Production Support (50%)
- Provide comprehensive user and system support across all technology streams.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot production systems to ensure stability and reliability, with a particular emphasis on data platforms and processes.
- Respond promptly to incidents and service requests, diagnosing and resolving issues affecting data flows, trading applications, and related infrastructure.
- Perform daily health checks and validation of trading and data systems before market open, ensuring all components are operational.
- Manage and support static and dynamic databases, including troubleshooting data integrity issues and performing routine maintenance.
- Coordinate with development, risk, and business teams to resolve data-related issues and implement fixes or enhancements.
- Support release management activities, including deployment, verification, and rollback procedures for data and trading applications.
- Maintain and update documentation for operational procedures, incident response, and data workflows.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and best practices for data management and system support.
- Participate in root cause analysis and post-incident reviews, focusing on continuous improvement of data stream reliability and performance.
- Provide user support and training for data-related tools and processes, acting as a key contact for data stream queries and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with global support teams to share knowledge, escalate issues, and drive resolution of complex data stream problems.
- Support evening and weekend operations as required, ensuring critical data and trading systems remain available and performant.
Development & Automation (50%)
- Design and implement automation tools to streamline operational workflows.
- Develop scripts and applications for data quality checks, monitoring, alerting, and recovery processes.
- Work on projects involving cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and performance optimization.
Requirements
- 3+ years in a technical support role, ideally within trading or financial services.
- 2+ years of development experience (Python essential; C# highly desirable).
- Experience with AWS/cloud platforms, cloud monitoring and automation.
- Experience with Bash and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with Windows desktop/server and Linux OS administration.
- Strong relational database skills (SQL Server, Postgres).
- Experience supporting trading platforms and infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving and business analytics capabilities.

Your Future Role within QRT

- Act as the front door for security engagements, responding to requests and queries from across the firm and ensuring the business receives timely, practical support from the security function.
- Partner with the business, IT, Cloud Services, and Engineering teams to ensure security tooling integrates smoothly into operations and supports business workflows without unintended disruption.
- Operate and maintain core security platforms, including firewalls, SASE, CASB, proxies, NAC, identity controls, endpoint protection, and cloud security tooling.
- Support observability and health monitoring of security systems, identifying degradation, misconfiguration, or platform issues before they impact the business, and responding to operational incidents affecting security tooling.
- Participate in a global 24/7 follow-the-sun security platform operations capability, including weekend coverage on a rotational basis.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across security products, integrations, and the underlying network, cloud, and endpoint stack.
- Implement automated and scalable operational processes for security tooling across hybrid, multi-cloud, and on-prem environments, reducing toil and improving reliability.

Your Present Skillset
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering or security platform operations.
- Strong exposure to modern network security solutions, including firewalls, SASE, CASB, proxies, and L7 policy.

- Hands-on experience operating and maintaining security tooling across domains: network security, endpoint management and protection, identity management, vulnerability management, and cloud security controls.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and health management of security platforms, including log and metric pipelines, alerting on platform health, and capacity and performance management.
- Comfortable with packet capture and analysis tools (tcpdump, Wireshark) for troubleshooting.

- Lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or related UI frameworks), C#, XAML, and — when needed — C++.
- Define and enforce best-practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase: code architecture, performance, memory usage, responsive UI, cross-version compatibility (Windows 10/11+), and maintainability.
- Drive accessibility efforts: integrate and validate support for accessibility APIs (e.g. Microsoft UI Automation or other relevant Windows accessibility frameworks), ensure UI controls, focus management, keyboard navigation, screen-reader support, and usability for users with disabilities.
- Collaborate closely with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and other stakeholders to shape feature planning, UI/UX architecture, and long-term roadmap for the Windows platform.
- Take ownership of full lifecycle of features: conception → design → implementation → testing → release → maintenance. Ensure quality, reliability, and consistency across releases.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering issues, or compatibility problems — and propose robust architectural or design solutions.
Required:
- 3+ in Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or similar), C#, XAML — and ideally additional experience with native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM).
- Deep understanding of Windows application architecture, including interop between managed code (.NET) and native code.
- Proven track record of designing, building, and shipping production-quality desktop applications, with an emphasis on reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Strong experience with accessibility APIs on Windows (e.g. Microsoft UI Automation or similar), and a dedication to building accessible and inclusive software.
- Excellent software engineering fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multi-threading or asynchronous programming (where relevant).
- Experience leading technical design, mentoring other engineers, conducting code reviews, and making architecture-level decisions.
- Strong communication skills; ability to articulate tradeoffs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive consensus.
- A user-centric mindset: focus on building polished, intuitive, and accessible experiences for end users.
Preferred / Bonus:

What you’ll do
We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Senior Information Security Engineer to join our security team. In this role, you will help protect, monitor, and continuously improve the security of our global systems including cloud (AWS and M365) and on-premises infrastructure. You’ll play a central part in risk mitigation, incident response, automation of security operations, and embedding security best practices across our organisation. An engineering mindset, attention to detail, and a preference for pragmatic solutions are essential to keeping our systems operating.
Main responsibilities include:
- Monitor daily security operations, identify threats, investigate alerts, and respond to incidents across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Strengthen Microsoft 365 and Entra ID security through Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, Defender for Endpoint/Identity/O365, and tenant configuration hardening.

- Comfortable with both Windows and Linux environments; familiarity with common security technologies (firewalls, endpoint protection, log management, vulnerability scanning, network security).

As a senior FPGA developer, you'll work with internal stakeholders (including trading, risk, compliance and research teams), to develop Optiver's low latency execution and network optimisation platforms. Our execution platforms are responsible for placing orders from auto-trading systems with as low a latency as possible, implementing risk boundary checks, order management and exchange connectivity. You'll get to:

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Solutions Engineer to work with our top tier customers and become their Trusted Advisor for their security and business goals. The successful applicant will have a track record of working with large enterprise organisations in driving business and technical outcomes through technology solutions, with experience in engaging at the C-level with Business and Technology stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Land an end-to-end value prop for web security & performance that spans the breadth of Cloudflare Product offerings.
- Empower customers in their security adoption journey, helping them to define a secure strategy,
- Architecture of necessary security controls aligned with Cloudflare Security and Performance product suites
- You will work closely with Account Executives to educate your prospective customers on how they can obtain success on the Cloudflare platform
- Apply technical knowledge to architect security solutions that meet business, IT, Regulation and Compliance needs, infusing key security technologies where appropriate.
- Be a Voice of the Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Global Engineering and Product teams at Cloudflare to remove blockers and influence the roadmap.

- Understand the role of a firewall, why TLS (SSL) plays an increasingly important role on today's Internet, a solid understanding of HTTP and a willingness to dive deeper into the quirks of clients & servers alike
- Understanding of how customers make buying decisions, how to explain ROI.
- Experience in cloud computing, preferred if strong background in architecting applications on AWS or GCP;
- Technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, integrating front end web technologies such as Next.JS/React, with compute and databases;

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Solutions Engineer to work with our top tier customers and become their Trusted Advisor for their security and business goals. The successful applicant will have a track record of working with large enterprise organisations in driving business and technical outcomes through technology solutions, with experience in engaging at the C-level with Business and Technology stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Land an end-to-end value prop for web security & performance that spans the breadth of Cloudflare Product offerings.
- Empower customers in their security adoption journey, helping them to define a secure strategy,
- Architecture of necessary security controls aligned with Cloudflare Security and Performance product suites
- You will work closely with Account Executives to educate your prospective customers on how they can obtain success on the Cloudflare platform
- Apply technical knowledge to architect security solutions that meet business, IT, Regulation and Compliance needs, infusing key security technologies where appropriate.
- Be a Voice of the Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Global Engineering and Product teams at Cloudflare to remove blockers and influence the roadmap.
- Maintain long-term trusted adviser relationships with the peers at your customers and work hand-in-hand with the Customer Success team to ensure your customers are delighted with Cloudflare offerings.
Key Skills:
- 7+ years experience in a pre-sales SE role;
- Relationship Building. Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior security executives in large or highly strategic accounts. Experience in managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on security solutions/projects.
- Problem Solving. Ability to solve customer security, compliance, and data protection problems through Cloudflare's technology stack . Acknowledged for driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences (Senior Executives, Security teams, Security admins, DevSecOps, Cloud Security architect teams).
- Customer Focus. Customer obsessed leader with an “I will get it done" approach to solving customer challenges.
- Value Realisation. Ability to understand customer business objectives and outcomes and the ability to quickly leverage tech solutions to accomplish those outcomes.
- Trusted Technical Advisor. Ability to build strong relationships with senior security stakeholders and quickly build credibility and be viewed as a trusted advisor.
Technical Skills:
- Understanding of “how the internet works”. For example: Know the differences between TCP & UDP, and understand what kinds of applications may favor one over the other;
- Can explain the difference between authoritative DNS & recursive DNS;
- Understand the role of a firewall, why TLS (SSL) plays an increasingly important role on today's Internet, a solid understanding of HTTP and a willingness to dive deeper into the quirks of clients & servers alike
- Understanding of how customers make buying decisions, how to explain ROI.
- Experience in cloud computing, preferred if strong background in architecting applications on AWS or GCP;
- Technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, integrating front end web technologies such as Next.JS/React, with compute and databases;
- Demonstrated experience with a scripting language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Bash) and a desire to expand those skills;
- You've built a web application before, or contributed to an existing application in a meaningful way;
- You can describe the differences between CSRF, XSS and SQLi in detail and Cloudflare's role in defending against them;
- Understanding of, or experience with, regulatory requirements such a PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC-2.

These include frontend and backend engineers, AI research scientists, and others from Amazon, Microsoft, and Google, leading PhD programs like Stanford, high growth startups like Stripe, Vercel, Bolt, and many founders of their own companies
- Lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or related UI frameworks), C#, XAML, and — when needed — C++.
- Define and enforce best-practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase: code architecture, performance, memory usage, responsive UI, cross-version compatibility (Windows 10/11+), and maintainability.
- Drive accessibility efforts: integrate and validate support for accessibility APIs (e.g. Microsoft UI Automation or other relevant Windows accessibility frameworks), ensure UI controls, focus management, keyboard navigation, screen-reader support, and usability for users with disabilities.
- Collaborate closely with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and other stakeholders to shape feature planning, UI/UX architecture, and long-term roadmap for the Windows platform.
- Take ownership of full lifecycle of features: conception → design → implementation → testing → release → maintenance. Ensure quality, reliability, and consistency across releases.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering issues, or compatibility problems — and propose robust architectural or design solutions.
Required:
- 3+ in Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or similar), C#, XAML — and ideally additional experience with native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM).
- Deep understanding of Windows application architecture, including interop between managed code (.NET) and native code.
- Proven track record of designing, building, and shipping production-quality desktop applications, with an emphasis on reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Strong experience with accessibility APIs on Windows (e.g. Microsoft UI Automation or similar), and a dedication to building accessible and inclusive software.
- Excellent software engineering fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multi-threading or asynchronous programming (where relevant).
- Experience leading technical design, mentoring other engineers, conducting code reviews, and making architecture-level decisions.
- Strong communication skills; ability to articulate tradeoffs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive consensus.
- A user-centric mindset: focus on building polished, intuitive, and accessible experiences for end users.
Preferred / Bonus:
- Experience with writing automated tests for UI — unit tests, integration tests, UI automation tests; familiarity with relevant testing frameworks.
- Experience with performance optimization for desktop apps (memory usage, startup time, rendering performance, high-DPI support, responsiveness under load).
- Experience with localization/globalization, right-to-left UI support, internationalization, accessibility for multiple regions.
- Familiarity with telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, logging, and error monitoring in desktop applications.
- Previous experience in shaping CI/CD workflows, release pipelines, and deployment strategies for desktop applications.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of feature areas or modules and drive them long-term, including maintenance, refactoring, and technical debt management.
