Marketplace Platform team at Coupang is looking for a “Staff, Back-end Engineer” to lead the design and development of Marketplace platform that allows our vendors and third-party sellers to publish their merchandise to our catalog, fulfill orders and get paid, without the friction inherent in the traditional retail model. You will be responsible for building highly scalable, distributed systems to accommodate tens of thousands of sellers with access to tens of millions of products world-wide, and for designing the optimal solutions to provide the sellers with end-to-end sales experiences through our platform from publishing goods, fulfilling, shipping orders to payment. You will join a highly technical and entrepreneurial team building applications to disrupt the B2B e-commerce segment. You will participate in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance. You will evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing technologies and tools, and you’ll coach and mentor junior development engineers.

• Actively work with team through the full lifecycle of solution, including platform selection, technical architecture design, application design and development, testing and deployment.

About the role

What are we looking for:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the backend team with outstanding software development talent proven by great work results/experience. Somebody that cares about code quality and not just get things done, but get things done right.

If you're smart, have great energy, can't think about a system without a CI/CD pipeline and you want to thrive in a fast paced environment, we are in sync.

What would you do at Fever?

On your first month in Fever:

• You will be fully integrated into the team. You will participate in plannings, groomings and retrospectives of the team, and you will have met the departments of Fever.
• You will get familiar with Fever’s tech stack: frameworks used to develop our applications, CI/CD workflows and infrastructure that support our operations.
• You will have lots of Pull Requests merged and running in production.
• You will attend some of the Fever Original’s experiences like Candlelight.

After 3 months in Fever:

• You will be able to come up with solutions to new difficult problems, defining the solution from the architecture design to its implementation.
• You will continue creating production grade Python code designed to handle high levels of traffic, measuring the outcome of the functionalities and improving the product.
• You will participate in some of the hackdays or hackathons we organise with other teams, and you will mostly know everybody from engineering.

On your 6th month in Fever:

• You will have responsibilities over different parts of the systems, analysing the usage from the users and evolving the platform to meet the user’s needs.
• You will have participated in the launch of one of our new microservices, from 0 to production.
• You will mentor other team members through code reviews, sessions of architecture design and pair programming.

About you

Must have skills:

• Strong knowledge on good practices, testing and design patterns

What your impact will be…

• Identify new opportunities for sales expansion thorough market research. Tailor sales processes for enterprise-level prospects and create customized sales pitches to engage high-value clients successfully.
• Drive revenue growth by generating leads and cultivating relationships with potential clients. Achieve and aim to exceed sales targets through strategic selling methods. Craft and execute sales plans that successfully lead to revenue generation. Keep a pulse on sales performance with detailed metrics analysis to predict income trends.
• Discuss the terms and conditions of sales contracts with enterprise clients, ensuring that all agreements are favorable. Work in unison with legal teams to draft and review all contract documents meticulously.
