We are looking for an experienced Senior or Staff Engineer for our SRE, InfraSec team, to guide the security of our cloud-based infrastructure. As a Staff SRE, you will be very hands-on technically while also mentoring a small team of SREs.

The InfraSec team collaborates closely with other engineering teams to ensure that our infrastructure adheres to the highest security standards. They build essential security infrastructure and implement controls that reinforce the platform’s security posture.

This is an SRE team, which means you can expect a highly hands-on approach, tackling the technical challenges of implementing large scale solutions.This team is deeply involved in the technical aspects of security and the nuances of its actual implementation.

Cloud Expertise:

We are hiring an experienced Security Software Engineer (Staff or Senior) for our Infrastructure Security team to design and build scalable security controls and services within MongoDB Atlas multi-cloud infrastructure.

As an onX Senior Backend Engineer, your day to day responsibilities would look like:

COMPENSATION

onX is committed to compensating all employees fairly and equitably for their contributions. For this position, applicants can expect to make between $146,000 to $182,000 upon hire. The pay range will vary based on experience, skills, certifications, and education among other factors as required in the job description. In addition, full-time onX employees are eligible for a grant of common share options with a vesting schedule and a potential annual bonus of 10% based on company performance.

About the role

The Corporate Infrastructure team builds and operates the platform layer the rest of IT Engineering runs on — cloud infrastructure hosting our internal services, the CI/CD that ships IT's own code, the observability stack across the corporate environment, and the cross-system automation that wires together tools never designed to talk to each other.

You'll build deployment pipelines and internal tooling that let IT Engineering ship like a product team. You'll define SLOs for corporate services, build the monitoring to know when we're missing them, and run on-call for the things you deploy. You'll partner with our network and AV engineers as their infrastructure counterpart — automating physical-world systems, building the telemetry that tells us an office is degraded before someone files a ticket. About the Role

Join the Monetization ML team within Twitch's Commerce organization, where we're building the intelligent systems that power personalized experiences for creators and viewers across all monetization products. We are the team behind the ML infrastructure for ads, commerce, and money products – systems that optimize revenue and detect fraud while serving millions of users in real-time.

From production model infrastructure to API integrations across services, we're constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible in live streaming monetization. 

Our team are based in San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA

You Will:

• Build robust ML infrastructure and platforms that power personalized monetization experiences across Twitch's ecosystem
• Architect and develop APIs that seamlessly integrate ML models with existing monetization services, enabling real-time and batch predictions at scale
• Collaborate with Applied Scientists to productionize ML models, transforming research into production-ready systems that serve millions of users
• Partner with product engineering teams across monetization to deliver ML-powered features that enhance creator and viewer experiences
• Design and implement comprehensive monitoring and operational excellence systems for ML model performance, ensuring reliability and quality at scale
• Develop data ingestion and processing pipelines that support both real-time inference and batch training workflows
• Explore and build infrastructure for emerging use cases including LLM applications in monetization contexts

You Have:

• 1+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on building scalable systems
• Experience building production ML infrastructure, including model deployment, serving, and monitoring systems
• Proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, Java, Go) and distributed system technologies
• A track record of building APIs and integrating systems that handle high-throughput, low-latency requirements
• Understanding of data processing pipelines and experience with streaming technologies (Flink, Kafka, or similar)
• Sharp problem-solving skills with a focus on algorithms, data structures, and distributed system design
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent real-world experience

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with Twitch's tech stack: Golang, Python, Apache Flink, Cond
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Conductor for managing ML pipelines

About the Role

As an Engineering Manager on the Community Discovery team, you will lead one of three engineering teams working collaboratively to build innovative discovery experiences on Twitch. You'll partner closely with an applied science team to integrate cutting-edge algorithms into production systems that directly impact millions of daily active users.

In this role, you'll oversee the development of software and services that power critical discovery features including recommendations, search, feed ranking, and notification relevance—helping creators connect with their audiences and viewers discover content they love.

You can work from Twitch’s headquarters in San Francisco, CA; or from one of our hub locations in Seattle, WA; Irvine, CA; Los Angeles, CA or New York City, NY. 

You Will:

• Build the systems that provide the critical connection between viewers and creators within the Twitch ecosystem
• Design and run consumer-scale services powering recommendations, ranking, and search results for tens of millions of users a day
• Power and enable ML applications at scale
• Partner with applied scientists and other engineering teams to design ML-powered systems that effectively solve customer problems
• Drive the professional growth and career advancement of team members through structured development planning, mentorship, and strategic talent management
• While driving the most prominent scenarios directly, you’ll also partner with stakeholders across the company integrating recommendations into their product features 

You Have:

• BA/BS in computer science or equivalent industry experience
• 3+ years of experience as software engineering manager
• 5+ years of working in software engineering
• Development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages such as: Golang, Python, C/C++, Java
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability, and scalability) of new and existing systems
• Proven ability to identify user needs and deliver customer-centric product solutions
• Experience developing and running large-scale consumer services

Bonus Points

• Familiarity in the AWS ecosystem of service
• Experience utilizing Agile development methodologies
• Experience building or partnering to build ML-driven products (highly desirable)
• Experience working with logging and both offline and online data pipelines
• Experience in hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of software engineers
• Experience with full-stack or front-end development
• Familiarity with Twitch, either as a viewer or creator (or both!)
