Material Flow Engineer

The Material Flow Engineer supports the material flow engineering team in the planning and deployment of in-plant logistics systems, processes, and material handling/storage infrastructure. This role focuses on analyzing and optimizing logistics flows from inbound truck parking bay to internal/external warehouses, dock to marketplace, kitting, sequencing/auto call systems, and lineside parts feeding strategies. The Senior Engineer contributes to lean, agile, and cost-effective solutions that enable seamless production and operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings strong engineering expertise and proven ability to work with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
You Will:
- Collaborate with a high-performing logistics engineering team to analyze, design, and optimize in-plant logistics systems including warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
- Lead strategic initiatives such as network design, capacity planning, cost-to-serve modeling, and logistics performance improvements.
- Design and refine warehouse layouts, material handling systems, and logistics flows using AutoCAD, simulation tools, and engineering analysis.
- Evaluate and implement automation technologies (e.g., conveyors, ASRS, AGVs, robotics) to boost productivity and throughput.
- Partner with cross-functional teams—operations, IT, procurement, and 3PLs—to align logistics strategies across the organization.
- Manage RFPs and infrastructure investments for logistics assets, including new site development and facility expansion.
- Analyze logistics data and KPIs to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Drive lean logistics initiatives and support Kaizen events and Six Sigma projects.
- Support new product introductions, plant launches, and business expansions with scalable logistics solutions.
- Ensure logistics operations comply with safety standards, environmental regulations, and corporate policies.
You Bring:
- Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Computer and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering and 5 years of professional experience
- 4–7 years of experience in the automotive industry or material flow engineering.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Proven ability to design and optimize material flow systems.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing systems such as TPS and WCM.
- Exposure to automation technologies and logistics data analysis.
- Strong engineering and team coordination experience.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of sustainability practices and circular economy principles in packaging.
- Experience working cross-functionally and managing stakeholder expectations.

Role Overview:
Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Homologation Engineer to lead all vehicle certification activities for the Gulf region. Based in Riyadh, this role will support regulatory compliance activities across Gulf markets and will serve as the primary regional authority interface with SASO, MOIAT, GSO, and associated agencies.
The position also acts as the key homologation and regulatory focal point between the Middle East operations and Lucid Motors’ headquarters in the United States, ensuring alignment on certification strategy, timing, and technical decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Gulf Homologation & Regulations:
- Lead homologation strategy, planning, and execution for all Lucid vehicles destined for Gulf markets.
- Manage certification activities in accordance with GSO standards, SASO regulations, and MOIAT requirements.
- Maintain deep expertise in Gulf regulatory frameworks and proactively track regulatory changes, assessing business and product impact.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regional authorities, certification bodies, and technical services.
Head Office Interface (U.S.):
- Serve as the single regional window to Lucid Motors’ U.S. headquarters for all homologation‑related topics.
- Coordinate with the US teams to align certification timelines, test strategies, and technical documentation.
- Communicate regional regulatory constraints, risks, and opportunities clearly to global stakeholders and leadership.
- Support global change‑management processes by ensuring product changes are evaluated and approved from a Gulf homologation perspective.
Manufacturing & Plant Support:
- Support plant operations by conducting and overseeing first‑off‑the‑line (FOTL) checks to verify compliance with approved regulatory configurations.
- Support conformity‑of‑production (CoP) activities, audits, and inspections related to Gulf certifications.
- Work closely with quality, manufacturing, and launch teams to ensure smooth vehicle release and ongoing compliance.
Documentation & Compliance Management:
- Own and maintain all homologation documentation, test reports, approvals, and certificates for Gulf markets.
- Support audits, authority inspections, and regulatory inquiries.
- Provide expert guidance on certification implications for product updates, variants, and derivative models.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and 5 years of professional experience.
- Significant experience in automotive homologation, regulatory affairs, or vehicle compliance, ideally in a senior or lead role.
- Strong working knowledge of GSO, SASO, and MOIAT certification processes.
- Proven ability to work independently with full regional responsibility while influencing cross‑functional global teams.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Experience working with multinational engineering teams.
- Experience with EV homologation and regulatory requirements.
- Background supporting manufacturing plants or pre‑series/launch activities.
- Familiarity with US (FMVSS) and EU (UN ECE and EU EC) certification
- Familiarity with conformity‑of‑production (CoP) frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder‑management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Fluent Arabic speaker

In this role you will:
- Own the customer relationship – Act as the primary technical liaison for assigned customers, focusing on operational support and platform optimization.
- Keep platforms healthy - Run regular health checks, tune sensor configurations, optimise alert generation, and guide upgrade roll‑
- Accelerate Adoption - design and implement new features, integrations, dashboards, and custom queries that unlock customer use‑cases.
- Document and Educate - Develop and maintain customer-specific documentation, workflows, and use cases, and deliver knowledge‑transfer workshops on new releases and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve - Investigate incidents, open and manage support cases/RMAs, and drive issues to root‑cause closure with Technical Support.

To be successful in the opportunity, you will have:
- 2+ years of experience in a technical support, system administration, or technical consulting role.
- Knowledge of:
- networking concepts (OSI model, TCP/IP, VLANs, network architecture)
- network infrastructure (firewalls, switches)
- general cybersecurity principles and applications (Active Directory, PCAP analysis, security architecture).
- Familiarity with Windows/FreeBSD/Unix/Linux OS's, virtualization, and basic scripting or API usage.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple customer engagements.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
- Exposure to OT/ICS environments and protocols.
- Experience with Nozomi Networks products or similar cybersecurity platforms.
- Technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, GICSP, or equivalent) are a plus.

About the Role:
This role interfaces with the client directly and is responsible for planning, scoping, and implementing the Dragos Platform in customer environments. Be part of a hands-on and onsite team at power plants, substations, manufacturing floors, and refineries (to name a few), while performing installations and assisting our customer partners in monitoring and safeguarding their infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Dragos Sales and Solution Architect teams to understand customer use cases and success criteria
- Works closely with client’s teams on network architecture, sensor placement, and integrations for the deployment of new sensors; coordinate and conduct deployments
- Partner with client’s teams to refine applicable use cases and Dragos platform objectives
- Tune and optimize Dragos platform to meet defined customer objectives
- Develop content and build foundational workflows based on client use cases and value proposition
- Monitor the health of the Platform solution to ensure continuous Platform availability and continuously tune and optimize the Dragos Platform
- Coordinate upgrades, patches, and other configuration changes to the Platform solution
- Provide knowledge transfer and training to enable key stakeholders, document processes
- Provide troubleshooting and break/fix support for the Platform, manage escalations
- Communicate roadmap of upcoming features and content with the client and conduct new release feature walkthroughs as needed
- Continually solicit client feedback on feature requests and improvements
- Coordinate and collaborate with other Dragos teams/services (Intel, Threat Hunting)
- Identify opportunities for other Dragos products and services
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of ICS/OT experience, Cybersecurity experience a plus
- Networking experience – Strong knowledge of IP networks, OSI model, Purdue model, and ICS protocols
- Experience with Linux (command line), Docker, scripting languages (python, shell, etc.), SIEMs
- Experience in on-premise and cloud software solutions for Enterprise while managing multiple stakeholders and projects
- Customer-oriented and attentive to client needs, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
