• Work cross functionally with Technical Accounting, Operational Accounting, Engineering, Product, Finance, Tax, Legal, and various business owners on policies, processes, and programs, and help drive key system initiatives and improvements
• Develop and design comprehensive accounting data requirements to facilitate the seamless automation of journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes
• Lead operational improvement initiatives to further streamline revenue tasks and shorten the revenue close calendar
• Monitor data quality of journal entries configured via the Revenue Subledger and design Data Quality checks for identified use cases via accounting requirements design, ad hoc investigations, new product launches, etc. 
• Work with the Product and Engineering teams to continuously improve our daily Revenue Reconciliation process and manage reconciliation analysis with the help of the analytics team
• Review new product designs showcased during internal Financial Compliance Review meetings and assess impact on existing or need for new accounting requirements for the Revenue Subledger
• Cross collaborate with partnering teams on the journal entry flows for the new or existing products for automation via the Revenue Subledger
• Perform monthly revenue accounting close responsibilities, including but not limited to: GAAP revenue analysis, cost of revenue analysis, accounts receivable reconciliations, review journal entries, and review close package deliverables
• Ad hoc analyses and projects as assigned 

We’re excited about you because…

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• 3+ years of  experience in revenue accounting, data analytics, and/or business intelligence
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition required; knowledge of IFRS a plus
• Intermediate/advanced SQL skills and ability to work with large volumes of transactional data, Python a plus
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to adapt to changing work environments

Who we're looking for

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with an object-oriented programming language
• Experience with web application development using Python (FastAPI, aiohttp, or similar).
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Experience working with asynchronous programming
• Comfort working with PostgreSQL and relational databases at scale, including schema migrations, raw SQL queries and query optimization.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka or similar).
• Experience in a highly available, uptime-critical production environment.
• Deep knowledge of microservice architecture patterns and anti-patterns
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Consul, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.

The Role

Gigs is expanding into Brazil and this role sits right at the center of that buildout. We're at an exciting inflection point: the strategic groundwork has been laid, priorities are set, and we're now fast moving into execution mode across a wide range of complex workstreams. 

As Senior Business Operations Associate, you'll be the engine that makes this happen. You'll work directly with our Brazil lead to drive execution across multiple high-stakes, ambiguous tracks, context-switching between a business development negotiation, a product requirement, and a process design challenge, often on the same day.

This isn't a support role, it's a builder role. You'll own problems end to end, drive clarity where there isn't any, and move fast to deliver results that matter. What You Will Do

• Drive the Brazil launch program - own the day-to-day execution of our most critical workstreams across commercial, legal, technical, and operational tracks, including finance, tax, compliance, CX, and SIM fulfillment. You'll keep things moving, hold stakeholders accountable, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks..
• Solve complex, ambiguous problems - take ill-defined challenges, structure them, and turn them into clear paths forward. You'll be the person who figures out what needs to happen and makes it happen.
• Coordinate across internal and external stakeholders - act as the connective tissue between Gigs' global teams (Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Operations) and our local partner, keeping everyone aligned and accountable.

BUSINESS OPERATIONS MANAGER (STARLINK BRAZIL GROWTH)

The Business Operations Manager’s role is to improve Starlink’s key performance indicators (KPIs) at SpaceX, focused around omni-channel subscriber & revenue growth. The role combines data analytics with broader business planning, decision-making, strategy, and execution, directly supporting SpaceX’s leadership. Business Operations is embedded in daily operations, supporting both near-term execution and long-term planning. Team members are expected to analyze data, provide recommendations, and lead cross-functional decision-making and implementation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor, analyze, provide strategic insights, execute, and improve vs. key performance indicators for the business (especially active subscribers, churn, sales, production, inventory, produce-to-activate, net promotor score, customer lifetime value, cost per unit, revenue, cost of sales, operating expenses, and capital expenditure)
• Lead onboarding of new channels, providing tools, analysis and insights to guarantee better possible performance from commercial collaborations
• Analyze market pricing dynamics and provide leadership with insights on elasticity and performance to sustain tempestive decision processes
• Identify initiatives for improvement of SpaceX’s business outlook, including developing, tracking, and executing business initiatives with SpaceX’s leadership
