Scope of Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, guiding them from ideation to implementation, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
- Organize and lead Agile ceremonies for the software engineering team, ensuring efficient project execution and alignment with business goals
- Establish coding and testing best practices and standards for engineers, driving excellence in software development
- Take charge of developing, testing, and deploying modern software applications and new features, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines
- Oversee the quality of engineers' deliverables, including coding, testing, and debugging, to maintain high standards of software quality
- Collaborate closely with Govini's product team to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring the successful delivery of software solutions
- Continuously seek innovation and process improvement opportunities, finding efficiencies in all assigned tasks to drive the team's success
- Work collaboratively with data engineers, data scientists, QA engineers, and DevOps engineers to enhance our platform's overall quality and performance
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of software development experience with proficiency in an object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, C#, or Ruby)
- 1+ years of people management
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Quarkus, or similar technologies
- Strong knowledge of data structures, object-oriented design, algorithms, exception handling, and troubleshooting
- Experience in SQL and database design
- Thorough understanding of microservice architecture
- Proven experience in an Agile development framework
- Strong analytical skills and unwavering attention to detail
- Current possession of a U.S. security clearance, or the ability to obtain one with our sponsorship
- Experience in or exposure to the nuances of a startup or other entrepreneurial environment
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript frameworks like React or AngularJS
- Familiarity with Redis, Aurora PostgreSQL, and Apache Kafka
- Proficiency in profiling Java applications to identify bottlenecks
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery concepts and build tools
- Experience with containers, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps patterns
- Familiarity with Linux commands and scripting

About the Role
Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.
We’re looking for a talented Senior Sales Engineer to join our Enterprise, Existing Business sales team. As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will work closely with our sales team to understand our Enterprise customers’ complex business needs and showcase how Fivetran’s data replication solutions can help them achieve their desired business outcomes. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise, identifying technical requirements, and supporting a regimented proof-of-value process throughout the sales cycle.
This is a full-time, remote position based in US with strong preference for Central and East Coast timezones.

What You’ll Do

Work with Enterprise customers to understand their business, their use cases, and their data replication requirements

Work cross functionally with your internal counterparts (AEs, Professional Services, BDRs, marketing, and support) to build and maintain a holistic account ownership plan

Develop and deliver technical presentations to Enterprise audiences

Ensure the technical win by running a tight proof-of-value process

Work closely with Fivetran’s Product and Engineering teams to ensure alignment of our solutions to Enterprise customer needs

Skills We’re Looking For

5+ years in data replication, sales engineering, or related technical field

Proven ability to work cross-functionally to support large enterprise customers

Strong technical background covering database replication, cloud infrastructure, and data replication technologies

Experience with modern data analytics technologies, including cloud data warehouses, transformation tooling, data catalogs, and BI tools

Excellent communication and presentation skills with a keen ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

This position qualifies for Fivetran’s incentive plan, and it’s common for employees in this role to achieve the total on-target earnings.
As part of our commitment to setting new hires up for success, all new sales team members attend a one-week, in-person Revenue Bootcamp during their second week at Fivetran. This bootcamp, held at one of our designated company locations, requires travel and is a mandatory part of the onboarding process.

Suvoda is seeking a recent graduate with a passion for data and a strong technical foundation to join our Product Development team. This is an opportunity to launch a data engineering career at Suvoda — a global clinical trial technology company where your work directly helps advance human health.
As a Data Engineer, you’ll join a collaborative team building a modern, cloud-native data platform. You’ll help build domain-oriented data products using GraphQL APIs and contribute to near real-time reporting through AWS DMS replication to Aurora PostgreSQL.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing a data mesh architecture using GraphQL APIs to expose domain-owned data products.
- Help build and maintain an AWS-based data lake using S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Athena, and Redshift.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue and PySpark for batch and streaming data workloads.
- Support AWS DMS pipelines to replicate data into Aurora PostgreSQL for near real-time analytics.
- Follow best practices for data governance, quality, observability, and API design.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
- Contribute to CI/CD and automation efforts for data infrastructure and pipelines.
- Stay curious — explore emerging tools and share ideas that could make our platform even better.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical fields such as Computer Science or Mathematics.
- Strong foundational skills in Python and SQL — you’re comfortable writing queries and scripts from scratch.
- Academic or project experience with data engineering concepts: pipelines, data modeling, or ETL/ELT workflows.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, particularly AWS (coursework, personal projects, or internships all count).
- Familiarity with data structures, distributed systems, or database design — you understand the “why” behind the tools.
- A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills — you ask good questions and explain your thinking clearly.
- A genuine enthusiasm for data and a desire to keep learning in a fast-moving environment.
Nice to Have:
- Master’s degree or relevant certifications.
- Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
- Familiarity with data cataloging and metadata management tools.
