What You’ll Do  

• Lead structured technical discovery with the hardware and platform engineering teams to establish the API surface, platform readiness, and target workload definitions
• Author the Architecture Decision Record (ADR) documenting the integration approach, technology choices, and key design decisions

Why harness engineering matters here
OpenAI and Anthropic ship models. They also ship one harness each - the scaffolding that turns a raw model into something that can plan, execute, recover, and complete work. We ship a different kind of harness: one built for cost-conscious, long-horizon autonomy, running on inference infrastructure we control end-to-end.
A decent model with a great harness beats a great model with a bad harness. We've watched this play out. The gap between what today's models can do and what you see them doing is largely a harness gap - and that gap is where we operate.

What you'll build
The ratchet.
Every time our agent makes a mistake, we engineer a solution so it never makes that mistake again. That means hooks that enforce constraints the model "knows" but forgets: pre-commit lint checks, permission gates, context compaction before the window fills. Success is silent, failures are verbose.

Long-horizon execution.
Our harness is built around spec-driven autonomy: meta-prompting, fresh context per task, worktree-per-slice git strategy, automatic replanning, crash recovery, stuck detection. We're implementing Ralph loops - when the model tries to exit, we intercept and reinject the goal into a fresh context. The agent reads state from disk and continues. Multi-session, multi-day work, without context rot.

Planner/executor splits.
Planning with a reasoning model, executing with a fast one, evaluating with a third. Separating generation from evaluation beats self-verification because agents reliably skew positive when grading their own work.

The harness surface.
CLI, TUI, MCP integration, sandboxed execution, telemetry. Our AGENTS.md is short - every line traces to a specific thing that went wrong. TypeScript on the surface, Go where it matters.

Memory and context.
Moving agents off laptops, giving them state that survives across sessions, managing context so information lands where it's actionable. Compaction, tool-call offloading, progressive skill disclosure.

What makes this different (with receipts)
You've seen the pitch: "we route to the best model." Everyone says that. Here's what we actually have:

• GPU infrastructure we own. Not just an API reseller. From GPU placement across clouds to the inference endpoint your agent calls - we control the cost curve.

• Strong TypeScript or Go in production. Comfort moving between them. Our surface is TypeScript; our core is Go.
• You think in harness terms. You read "the agent hallucinated" and your first instinct is to ask what context it was missing, what hook should have caught it, what constraint should exist.
• You drive features end-to-end. Design → build → ship → measure → iterate. We don't have layers that absorb ambiguity for you.

Responsibilities:

• Build and evolve the agent harness - ship hooks, permission gates, and context compaction. Every AGENTS.md constraint traces to a failure you personally diagnosed.
• Own long-horizon execution - multi-session task completion via spec-driven prompting, worktree-per-slice git, Ralph loop recovery, and stuck detection. Completion rate is your metric.
• Architect planner/executor/evaluator pipelines - planning with a reasoning model, execution with a fast one, evaluation with a third. No self-verification.

As an AI Native Senior .NET Engineer, you orchestrate a fleet of AI agents to architect, build, and deploy production-grade systems, and AI agents are a core part of your daily workflow. About the Role

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Fullstack Java Developer to help migrate existing Node.js backend services to a robust Java-based architecture. Java Backend Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW

The Legion application is a high-performance data-driven Java enterprise application that implements sophisticated scheduling and optimization algorithms. It also provides the necessary endpoints for our Web and mobile frontend applications. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a member of the team responsible for the implementation and evolution of this application. You will need to be able to write secure, efficient, enterprise-quality Java code, and have a deep understanding of the techniques and technologies that are necessary for scalability and performance. You will also need knowledge and experience with data modeling and relational databases. Our application runs on AWS, so experience with containerization and cloud deployments is desirable. We're using Springboot, Hibernate, MySQL, and JSON, so familiarity with these technologies will be helpful. Frontend experience in JavaScript and Angular and/or React is a big plus.

Job Description

The Data & Information Architect is accountable for defining and embedding a shared Data & Analytics architecture. This role provides practical architectural guardrails, establishes clear ownership and decision rights for data domains, and enables analytics use cases to be delivered through standard, compliant patterns - without ad-hoc data handling or policy exceptions. You will work across product, platform, and domain teams to ensure data is modelled consistently, governed effectively, and usable for operational, analytical, and advanced analytics use cases.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Data & Analytics Architecture

• Define, document, and maintain the target Data & Analytics architecture, covering data domains, ingestion pipelines, analytics layers, and access patterns.
• Contribute to the definition of architectural guardrails that explain what teams must do—not just what they must avoid.
• Provide approved (“golden path”) patterns for data ingestion, analytics, and reporting aligned with security, privacy, and governance requirements.

Common Domain & Canonical Modelling

• Define and govern the Common Domain Model, establishing shared semantic definitions for core maritime concepts such as vessel, seafarer, voyage, cargo, port call, certificate, and contract.
• Design and evolve a technology-neutral Canonical Data Model (CDM) to standardise data exchange for targeted integrations.
• Ensure consistency between operational data models and analytical representations to support reporting and advanced analytics.

Ownership, Governance & Decision-Making

• Establish and document clear ownership and stewardship for data domains, datasets, and analytics platforms.
• Define decision rights and resolve cross-domain data design conflicts in collaboration with domain and platform leaders.
• Drive metadata management, glossary definitions, and lineage standards to improve discoverability, traceability, and regulatory compliance (e.g. IMO, EU MRV, ESG).

Analytics Enablement

• Ensure the data architecture enables scalable reporting, self-service analytics, and ML-ready data without ad-hoc handling.
• Work with analytics and data scientists to align data structures, pipelines, and access patterns with real analytical use cases.
• Balance operational and analytical needs across real-time events, reporting, and historical analysis.

Collaboration & Architecture Practice

• Embed data architecture decisions into Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and architecture review forums.
• Act as a bridge between domain experts, product managers, platform teams, and delivery teams to ensure data architecture is understood, adopted, and applied.
• Contribute to the evolution of platform-wide architecture standards and review practices.

Standards & Industry Alignment

• Align the company's data models with relevant maritime and logistics standards (e.g. S-100, IMO/ISO/EDIFACT, BIMCO, DCSA) where appropriate, while supporting proprietary innovation.
• Evaluate emerging data and analytics practices and recommend improvements aligned with the company's strategy.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in data architecture, information architecture, or enterprise data modelling roles.
• Strong expertise in canonical data modelling and semantic modelling across complex, distributed systems.
• Experience defining data architectures that support both operational and analytical use cases.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, APIs, and cloud-native data platforms (e.g. data lakes, data hubs, event buses).
• Proven experience working with domain-driven design (DDD) teams in agile product organisations.
• Ability to influence decisions and drive adoption without formal authority.

What you will be doing, your legacy: 

You will be working directly with company Principal Engineers evaluating, scoping, proposing, and building features to fulfill business solution requirements to protect our customers. You will play a direct role in laying the technical foundation for a new product offering. Additionally, you will be working with Engineering and DevOps to deliver high-quality products and services while also working closely with security and IT professionals to ensure safe and secure best practices are followed. 

Responsibilities:

• Architect and Design Scalable Data Solutions: Design/develop/maintain Data lakehouse solutions (Iceberg/Delta Lake /Hudi) applying industry best practices and structuring / optimizing the data according to data access patterns.
• Data Pipeline Development: Implement ETL/ELT pipelines using cloud technologies (Spark / pySpark / Glue, Kinesis Streams / Iceberg) to load the data into a Lakehouse for both efficient ML processing and UI reporting.
• Implement data models and data processing frameworks (Spark, Kafka, Snowflake) to ingest, transform, and load large datasets into Data Lakehouse techs (Apache Iceberg, Apache Delta Lake or Apache Hudi), ensuring high availability and reliability of data.
• Advanced Data Integration: Develop solutions that integrate multiple data sources into Snowflake or similar data warehouses to enable real-time analytics and reporting across dashboards.
• AI/ML Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to co-develop AI-driven features identifying patterns and anomalies in client data using AI/ML technologies (python).
• Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with industry standards and secure best practices (SOX, SOC 1/2), by implementing data governance frameworks, monitoring data pipelines, and optimizing cloud database architectures to protect sensitive information.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including analysts, engineers, and product managers, to understand their data needs, propose solutions, and drive data-driven decision-making by delivering actionable insights.
• Data Infrastructure Monitoring: Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipelines, leveraging CI/CD tools (Docker, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and orchestrating workflows using Apache Airflow to maintain operational efficiency.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Provide hands-on mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, including code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Documentation and Governance: Establish comprehensive documentation for data architecture, governance, and processes to ensure scalability, compliance, and security.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role with a deep understanding of data architecture and cloud-based ETL/ELT frameworks.
• Strong experience with AWS (preferably) or Azure , particularly with Glue, EMR, S3, Lambda. Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse experience is a bonus.
• Proficiency in big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, and Databricks for distributed data processing.
• Proficiency with Python libraries for data processing and ML (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Polars, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Hands-on experience in building real-time data processing and AI/ML-driven analytics solutions (SageMaker, Bedrock, NLP, Power BI).
• Ability to architect and manage data lakehouse solutions (Iceberg / Delta Lake / Hudi) or classic warehouse solutions (Redshift, Snowflake).
• Familiarity with compliance and audit requirements (SOX, SOC 1/2, GDPR) and implementing data governance and security frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on data integrity, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker) and data orchestration platforms (Apache Airflow).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with advanced data architecture principles (medallion architecture, materialized views, task scheduling).
