The Biohub is seeking an accomplished Scientist I to lead innovative investigations into spatial architecture of molecular systems and its role in controlling cell state dynamics. About the Position
As Associate Director of RWD Intelligence at Formation Bio, you will lead the strategy and execution of our real-world data (RWD) capabilities, building the data foundations that power drug acquisition, clinical development, and portfolio decision-making. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of RWD: sourcing, procurement, ingestion, harmonization, quality assurance, and delivery of analysis-ready datasets to downstream consumers across Product, Data Science, Clinical Development, and Business Development.

The van der Stegen Lab at Biohub NY studies human immune cell development from induced pluripotent stem cells and designs engineering strategies to harness immune cells for therapeutic applications. We are looking for a Computational Biologist to join our team to further expand our evaluation of immune cell lineage commitment, function and how genetic engineering strategies can affect those.
The Computational Biologist will possess deep expertise in the analysis of single cell transcriptional data, including developmental trajectory analysis, and ideally also have experience with proteomics datasets. They have an interest in hematopoiesis and immune cell biology and can demonstrate the intention to apply state-of-the-art analysis tools through close collaboration with the data science team at Biohub.
The New York City, NY base pay range for a new hire in this role is $153,000 - $210,100. New hires are typically hired into the lower portion of the range, enabling employee growth in the range over time. Actual placement in range is based on job-related skills and experience, as evaluated throughout the interview process.
This position may be eligible to participate in Biohub's discretionary annual performance bonus program. Bonus eligibility and targets are determined in accordance with Biohub's total rewards philosophy and may vary by role.

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to lead development of pooled functional genomics technologies at scale, with emphasis on CRISPR technologies (CRISPRi, CRISPRa, CRISPRoff, and CRISPR base editing) in iPSC-derived immune cells and primary immune cells.
The role involves designing, optimizing, and validating new pooled CRISPR workflows and driving projects that provide new insights for immune system reprogramming and training foundational AI models. This position offers the opportunity to develop and own an independent research project—with potential to publish and present findings—while contributing to the team's broader collaborative efforts.
This is a wet lab-based, hands-on position that specifically requires experience with functional genomics method development and high-volume human cell culture. It offers the opportunity to develop and implement assays, conduct perturbation experiments, oversee data generation, and participate in follow-up discovery collaborations.
This role is ideal for a recent PhD with a proven track record in functional genomics and human cell culture (particularly iPSC culture) who excels at multitasking genomics projects and developing cutting-edge CRISPR genomics technologies. You will join a highly collaborative team at the forefront of massive-scale perturbation technologies and AI model development to predict how to reprogram the immune system to prevent, identify, and treat human disease.
This researcher will be based at our Satellite site in NYC integrated with a team specializing in advanced functional genomics technologies, particularly massive-scale pooled CRISPR screens and single-cell profiling, to understand immune cell regulation. Strong interest and clinical competence in small animal radiology, diagnostic ultrasound, CT and MRI are crucial skills for the job. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work as part of a team in a collegial teaching environment.
Duties include performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging studies for the teaching hospital and referral veterinarians. We are currently on a 4-day/week schedule with one work-from-home day. The applicant is expected to work some weekends. Service responsibilities may also include institutional committee work, continuing education, and contributing to professional organizations.
Clinical teaching includes instructing and supervising interns and residents in internal medicine, critical care, and surgery. Participation in research is encouraged and many opportunities are available, both at AMC and through the biomedical community of New York City. RTW Foundation (RTWF) was founded in 2018 as the philanthropic arm of RTW Investments, LP a biotech investment firm. RTWF has two major focuses: improving health equity in New York City and advancing ultra-rare disease research. Our overarching goal is to improve the health of underserved communities, whether that be from historically underinvested communities in New York City (including communities of color and migrant populations) to patients and families facing ultra-rare diseases. Our rare disease initiatives focus on conditions often overlooked due to small patient populations and limited commercial incentives, working directly with patient-led foundations to move science toward the clinic.
The Research Scientist, Rare Disease is a senior scientific role within RTWF’s Rare Disease Advising Program (RDAP). This position leverages deep training in biomedical science and translational research to guide rare disease foundations through complex research, therapeutic development, and strategic decision-making landscapes.
The Research Scientist conducts in-depth literature reviews, analyzes preclinical and clinical data, and synthesizes insights into disease concept models, therapeutic hypotheses, and actionable research roadmaps. In parallel, this role plays a critical leadership function, managing and mentoring interns and junior researchers, standardizing research processes, and scaling RDAP’s disease review pipeline.

We're looking for an Applied AI Engineer to join our Beneficial Deployments team, focused on maximizing the impact of Claude in the life sciences. Our goal is ambitious: accelerate scientific progress from R&D through translation by an order of magnitude. That means making Claude the go-to tool for the life sciences ecosystem from early discovery in academia to paradigm shifting biotech to reimaging pharma pipelines — and building the technical infrastructure to back that up.
You'll work directly with flagship research partners like Howard Hughes Medical Institute and The Allen Institute, embedded in their scientific workflows. This isn't consulting from the outside — you'll be building alongside their engineers, prototyping agents that fit into real research pipelines, and developing the ecosystem-level tooling (MCP servers, benchmarks, reusable agent skills) that extends Claude's usefulness across the broader life sciences community. This role will be part of the founding Beneficial Deployments applied AI team focused on bringing more of life sciences closer to the frontier and be responsible for building with our partners.
Partner deeply with flagship life sciences research institutions — understand their scientific workflows end-to-end, build hands-on with their engineering teams, and help take projects from early exploration to production systems integrated into how they do science day-to-day.
Develop reusable ecosystem infrastructure, like MCP servers for domain-specific data sources (genomics platforms, literature databases, experimental repositories), instruments, scientifically-grounded benchmarks, and agent skills that other institutions can adopt without starting from scratch.
Identify what's actually hard about deploying AI in life sciences (heterogeneous data, auditability requirements, the prototype-to-trust gap) and feed those findings back to product, engineering, and research.
Create technical content and documentation that lets partners self-serve, so what works for one institution can scale globally without the same level of hand-holding.
4+ years as a Software Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or technical founder — with production experience shipping systems that real users depend on.
Deep research experience in life sciences, biomedical research, or scientific computing. Bonus if you've studied genomics, neuroscience, or drug discovery specifically and are comfortable getting deeply technical with academics.
Experience building LLM-powered tools or applications: prompting, context engineering, agent architectures, evaluation frameworks.
Builder credibility from shipping production code as a software engineer, forward-deployed engineer, or technical founder.
