Overview
The EE/SW Integration Manager at the OEM level owns system-level & sub-system-level electrical and software integration strategy, execution, and release readiness across multiple vehicle programs. The EE/SW Integration Sr. Manager is responsible for ensuring that all electrical and software systems deliver the intended vehicle-level functional performance. This role goes beyond architecture compliance and focuses on feature behavior, timing performance, system robustness, drivability impact, and cross-domain interaction quality. The position owns system-level validation and readiness of how the vehicle behaves under real-world conditions, including transient events, edge cases, environmental stress, and feature concurrency. Work directly with MSTs, software engineers, systems engineers, validation teams, and suppliers to ensure robust delivery.

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $160,000.00 - $192,500.00

The Metrology Engineer plays a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing metrology tools and programs that support the design, manufacturing, and enhancement of our fiber optic connectivity solutions. This role partners closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate characterization, testing, and analysis essential to product performance. The position also contributes to new equipment evaluation, technical troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of metrology processes.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize metrology programs, software tools, fixtures, accessories, and equipment
• Support equipment calibration, verification, maintenance, and procurement activities
• Characterize existing metrology systems and assist with evaluating and integrating new technologies
• Create fixtures and software tools that enhance equipment efficiency and testing accuracy
• Develop ferrule and mold metrology methods, programs, and training materials
• Maintain detailed metrology documentation and ensure program control and traceability
• Support database, reporting, and measurement requirements for fiber optic connectors
• Collaborate with the Texas metrology team on testing needs, improvements, and best practices
• Assist the quality organization with metrology-related troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Recommend additional testing or specification updates to support product enhancements
• Document test results and perform statistical analysis using tools such as Excel, Minitab, MATLAB, and PowerPoint
• Maintain orderly, clean, and calibrated metrology laboratory environments
• Operate advanced metrology instruments including multi‑sensor CMMs, confocal microscopes, CT scanners, SEM/AFM systems, interferometers, and precision gauging tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metrology, Materials Science, or related technical field
• Hands-on experience with metrology software, systems, and measurement techniques
• Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes, product requirements, and measurement principles
• Proficiency with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab, MATLAB)
• Strong documentation, data interpretation, and reporting skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams
• Experience with fiber optic components or precision plastics manufacturing
• Background using multi-sensor CMMs, confocal microscopy, CT scanning, or interferometry
• Familiarity with design of fixtures or tooling for measurement applications

Overview
The Research & Development Engineer drives the discovery, evaluation, and implementation of advanced technologies that strengthen US Conec’s core capabilities and support future product innovation. This role collaborates closely with manufacturing, metrology, and cross-functional engineering teams to assess new equipment, processes, and technical solutions that enhance operational excellence and competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, equipment, and processes to support future product and manufacturing advancements
• Review technical publications, attend industry seminars and tradeshows, and engage with suppliers to identify innovative solutions
• Plan and coordinate equipment demonstrations and sample evaluations in collaboration with metrology and manufacturing teams
• Develop and execute structured test plans to assess feasibility, performance, and integration potential
• Perform hands-on machining and metrology activities to support development of new in-house capabilities
• Analyze experimental data using statistical tools and software; generate charts, graphs, and technical reports for internal stakeholders
• Document findings, prepare technical presentations, and provide data-driven recommendations for implementation
• Support the integration of validated technologies into production and engineering workflows
Must Haves
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optics, or related technical discipline (Master’s degree preferred)
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, precision machining, and metrology principles
• Experience planning experiments, executing tests, and analyzing results using statistical methods
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Minitab for data analysis and reporting
• Experience with technical documentation and presentation development in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Programming experience in MATLAB, Python, or Visual Basic
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project planning skills
Nice to Haves
• Hands-on experience with multi-sensor CMM systems and metrology software
• Experience with confocal microscopy, CT scanning, SEM, or AFM equipment
• Familiarity with high-precision machining equipment and sub-micron measurement techniques
• Experience evaluating and implementing new manufacturing technologies

Key Responsibilities
Develop aircraft-level verification test cases derived from system requirements and applicable regulatory standards
Ensure end-to-end traceability between requirements, verification methods, test cases, and results
Author, review, and maintain key verification artifacts, including:
Verification Plans
Test Procedures and Automated Test Scripts
Verification Reports and Compliance Documentation
Support the integration and execution of verification activities across multiple environments, including:
Ground testing (bench testing, iron bird, system integration labs)
Flight test verification programs
Collaborate with systems engineering, safety, and certification teams to ensure alignment with development and compliance objectives
Contribute to continuous improvement of verification processes, tools, and methodologies
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Experience with FAA certification processes (Part 23, Part 27, or similar)
Familiarity with ARP4754A and ARP4761 development and safety assessment processes
Exposure to DO-160 environmental testing standards
Experience supporting flight test programs and verification activities
Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, requirements validation, and verification methodologies
Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or similar)
Experience working in integrated test environments (iron bird, SIL/HIL systems)
Knowledge of requirements management and traceability tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama, Polarion)
Familiarity with data analysis and test automation frameworks
Strong technical writing and documentation skills
Salary Range: $100,000-$125,000
