WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build Anduril's European communications program from the ground up, developing strategy, establishing infrastructure, and executing across markets with varying levels of maturity and priority.
• Drive media relations across defense, technology, business, and policy outlets in priority European markets, building the relationships and pipelines that will sustain long-term coverage.
• Develop and execute market-specific narrative strategies that connect Anduril's mission and capabilities to each country's defense priorities, industrial ambitions, and security context.
• Work closely with Anduril's European General Manager and business development teams to support market entry, customer engagement, partnerships, and key events.
• Build and manage a network of regional agencies and contractors as European operations expand.
• Partner with global communications, policy, and marketing teams to adapt core messaging for European audiences without losing coherence or accuracy.
• Engage think tanks, research institutions, and policy communities to build credibility and shape the broader discourse around defense innovation and allied cooperation.
• Own metrics and reporting frameworks to track progress and demonstrate impact across markets.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of experience in communications, public affairs, or media relations.
• Fluency in the European defense and political landscape across multiple countries, how decisions get made, who shapes opinion, and where the conversation is heading.
• A track record of building communications programs in new markets, not just inheriting them.
• Experience managing agencies, contractors, and regional communications networks across borders.
• Exceptional writing and strategic thinking, with the ability to develop narratives that land across cultures and audiences.
• Comfortable working autonomously in an early-stage market environment, with the judgment to make calls without a lot of process around you.

• Have built something before, a market presence, a regional program, a communications function, and know what that actually requires.

SUMMARY

We’re looking for a European Government Affairs Lead to drive our strategy and engagement with public sector leaders in the United Kingdom and European Union. In this role, you will report to the Global Head of Government Affairs. The Government Affairs team works alongside a broad team of Wizards–including the legal, sales, marketing, and threat intelligence teams–to educate government leaders and inform sound cloud, AI and cybersecurity policies across the globe. 

Our priority is supporting government policies that promote secure cloud infrastructure for organizations globally. We do that by listening, asking questions and educating. The ideal candidate will blend strong technical and policy aptitude, superior attention to detail, a proven history as a strong influencer and great presentation skills. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Support the continued growth and maturity of our government affairs program, with a focus on educating EU and UK policymakers, crafting a favorable regulatory environment and providing support to market development. 
• Pro-actively identify the need for (and lead the development of) government affairs products for both internal and external consumption. 
• Support the Government Affairs team in advising Wiz leadership on policy developments, challenges and opportunities, including both tactical and long-term strategic planning. 
• Build and maintain key professional relationships with decisionmakers across the EU, its member countries, and the United Kingdom. 
• Support our work with consultants and industry associations in pursuit of effective policy outcomes. 
• Manage engagement with third-party influencers in the policy environment, including think tanks, civil society groups, philanthropies and other bodies in support of Wiz priorities. 
• Publish and speak publicly and on the record on behalf of Wiz.  
• Develop close working relationships with teams across Wiz, including legal, compliance, standards, security, product, finance, communications, sales and sustainability. 
• Perform other duties as required. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• 10+ years of experience in advocacy or public policy/government affairs, including a breadth of experience across government, military, consulting, thought leadership and/or prior in-house roles.  
• Strong familiarity with emerging technology public policy trends in the areas of cybersecurity, cloud, cross-border data flow and digital trade, competition, artificial intelligence and public sector procurement. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex regulatory and policy matters into easily understood language. 
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. 
• Strong government contacts. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Stagelopen bij Burson betekent dat je meteen veel verantwoordelijkheden krijgt. Als stagiair maak je echt onderdeel uit van ons team en word je zoveel mogelijk betrokken bij verschillende activiteiten. 

Je werkt nauw samen met je collega’s aan opdrachten voor merken zoals SharkNinja en P&G (o.a. Gillette, Always en Olay). Daarnaast krijg je de kans om deel te nemen aan pitches voor nieuwe klanten en mee te werken aan opdrachten binnen onze verschillende expertiseteams; Brand Affairs, Corporate Affairs en Public Affairs. 

Afhankelijk van de klanten in jouw portfolio ondersteun je bijvoorbeeld bij andere inhoudelijke taken als het verzamelen van relevante informatie, het maken van media-, concurrentie- of stakeholderanalyses, het meedenken over de invulling van nieuwe social media- of influencer-campagnes en het creëren van content voor verschillende kanalen. Er wordt hard gewerkt in de diverse klantteams, maar de werksfeer is open, informeel en eigen initiatief wordt zeer gewaardeerd!

Tijdens je stage ontvang je een maandelijkse stagevergoeding van €650 (gebaseerd op een volledige werkweek) en word je begeleid door twee collega’s. Elke maand heb je een coachingsgesprek over je eigen ambities en wensen. Halverwege je stage is er een tussentijds feedbackgesprek waarin genoeg ruimte is om aan te geven wat je nog meer uit je stage wil halen. Daarnaast kun je altijd terecht bij andere Young Professionals, consultants en senior-adviseurs met vragen. Tenslotte worden je reiskosten vergoed en is het mogelijk om zo nu en dan eens vanuit huis te werken.

The Role

As an Enterprise Account Executive, you are a commercially credible and strategically minded professional who thrives in complex stakeholder environments. You combine relationship depth with structured enterprise selling discipline. You understand how senior Communications and Corporate Affairs leaders operate - ideally from first-hand experience in a PR or Corporate Communications agency environment - and you know how to guide them through meaningful change with clarity, insight and trust.

You report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for driving enterprise growth in Benelux, and drive a dedicated vertical focus on the Transport ecosystem across Europe (airlines, airports, aviation services, integrators, and critical operational partners). This role is particularly suited to professionals who are comfortable operating in high-stakes environments where communications speed, governance and stakeholder coordination are mission-critical. You will land and expand strategic enterprise accounts in Benelux and in your assigned vertical across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Own new business development and expansion for Benelux-based enterprise accounts, and the European Transport ecosystem vertical focus
• Develop and execute structured territory and account plans aligned with company growth strategy
• Build trusted relationships with Communications, Corporate Affairs, Operations, Legal and IT stakeholders within enterprise organisations
• Translate operational complexity, crisis sensitivity and governance requirements into clear commercial value

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Proven experience managing and growing existing enterprise accounts in addition to closing new business
• Experience selling SaaS platforms into enterprise environments, or a strong commercial track record transitioning from agency to SaaS
• Experience with using AI tooling for hyper personalised outreach, research, etc.
• Background as Director of Accounts or similar role at a PR / Corporate Communications agency is highly valued

Wat ga je doen?

Als stagiair Public Affairs werk je mee aan diverse projecten en ondersteun je onze adviseurs. Je maakt kennis met veel aspecten van het werk binnen een public affairs kantoor en krijgt een uniek kijkje achter de schermen van de politieke arena. Je leert hoe organisaties hun belangen behartigen richting politiek, overheid en media. Kortom: een veelzijdige stage op het raakvlak van politiek, bestuur, media en bedrijfsleven.

Je werkzaamheden bestaan onder andere uit:

• Monitoren van nieuws en politiek:dagelijks kranten, vakbladen en opinietijdschriften scannen op relevant nieuws voor onze klanten.
• Volgen van parlementaire agenda’s:bijhouden van vergaderingen en debatten in de Tweede en Eerste Kamer, relevante Kamerstukken signaleren en samenvatten.
• Verslaglegging: live en achteraf rapporteren over politieke debatten en griffieverslagen verzamelen.
• Research en analyse: informatie verzamelen via databanken en analyses maken voor onze adviseurs.
• Stakeholdermapping: relevante politieke en ambtelijke contacten in kaart brengen en up-to-date houden.
• Ondersteuning bij diverse klantprojecten: bijdragen aan presentaties, pitches en strategische adviezen.

Wie ben jij?

• Je volgt een HBO- of universitaire opleiding, bijvoorbeeld Politicologie, Bestuurskunde, Geschiedenis, Europese Studies of Internationale Betrekkingen (en staat ingeschreven tijdens de stageperiode).
• Je hebt een grote interesse in en kennis van de Nederlandse politiek en maatschappelijke vraagstukken.
• Je bent proactief, nieuwsgierig en analytisch sterk.
• Je kunt complexe informatie helder analyseren en samenvatten en hebt een vlotte pen.
• Je beheerst de Nederlands en Engels taal, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk.
• Je kunt goed omgaan met deadlines en werkt nauwkeurig, ook onder druk.
• Je bent minimaal vier dagen per week beschikbaar in de periode van 1 februari tot en met 30 juni.

Stagevergoeding

De stagiair ontvangt een maandelijkse stagevergoeding van € 650,-, gebaseerd op een volledige werkweek.
