Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled DevOps / Cloud Engineer to join the team responsible for managing core network platform - OSS. In this role, you will design, deploy, and operate cloud and hybrid infrastructure, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and take ownership of running third-party vendor software in our environment. You will bridge the gap between infrastructure and application operations, ensuring our systems are scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-efficient. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Deploy, operate, and maintain cloud environments across multi-account and multi-region AWS architectures
• Deploy, configure, and operate vendor-supplied software within our cloud/hybrid environment, serving as the operational owner for these applications
• Coordinate with vendors on installation, upgrades, patching, and configuration changes, translating vendor requirements into infrastructure and deployment solutions
• Ensure vendor applications meet our availability, performance, and security standards through own monitoring and incident management processes
• Own the security, availability, and reliability of infrastructure, applying best practices for IAM, encryption, and vulnerability management
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines that automate testing, security scanning, and deployment workflows
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasks to eliminate manual toil
• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability tooling to enable proactive issue detection and resolution
• Analyze cloud performance metrics and resource utilization to continuously optimize system efficiency and control costs
• Partner closely with internal and vendor teams to align on cloud infrastructure deployment and integration practices - bridging code and underlying infrastructure
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to teammates, driving engineering excellence 

Qualifications 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:

A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or site reliability engineering roles.

• Public Cloud Expertise (AWS, Azure or GCP): Proven hands-on experience with public cloud services including compute, networking, databases, K8s, IAM, monitoring
• Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in Terraform or AWS CDK for building and managing infrastructure at scale
• CI/CD: Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD)
• Containerization & Orchestration: Solid experience with Docker and K8s for application deployment and management
• Hybrid & Multi-Environment Operations: Experience operating workloads across cloud and on-premises or hybrid environments
• Third-Party Software Operations: Experience deploying and managing vendor-provided applications in cloud environments, including coordination of upgrades, patching, and configuration
• Databases: Hands-on experience with SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL/RDS) and NoSQL (e.g., DynamoDB, Redis/Elasticache) databases
• Messaging & Queuing: Familiarity with message-driven systems such as SQS, RabbitMQ or Kafka
• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation tasks 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• AWS or Azure/GCP certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect)
• Skills in remote debugging and troubleshooting distributed systems
• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001)
• Experience with observability platforms (e.g. Prometheus/Grafana, ELK)
• English proficiency at B2 level or above; able to collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional teams
• Experience in software development is a plus
• Background in telecom, satellite, or other high-availability, mission-critical environments is a plus

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Integration Engineer to join AST SpaceMobile’s dynamic defense team. This role focuses on integrating multiple software components, modules, and third-party libraries into a cohesive, functional system for our space-based platforms. The ideal candidate will create and manage the software integration environment, develop automation scripts, and troubleshoot complex issues at the intersection of different software modules. This is an onsite role in Tysons Corner, VA.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on integration of various software components, including firmware, embedded applications, and signal processing algorithms, onto target hardware.

About the Role

VulnCheck is looking for a Red Team Systems Administrator / Lab Manager to build, maintain, and operate the lab infrastructure that supports our vulnerability research team. This role is responsible for standing up and managing a research environment that includes networking equipment, IoT / OT devices, and the supporting compute, storage, and network infrastructure our researchers depend on to discover, analyze, and validate vulnerabilities.

You'll work closely with our exploit developers and threat researchers to ensure they have reliable, secure, and reproducible environments for testing against real-world hardware and software. The lab is central to VulnCheck's mission — our researchers need to move fast, and the infrastructure has to keep up. While this is a hybrid role, the position requires regular onsite management of physical lab equipment in the Fort Meade, MD area. 

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain the physical and virtual lab infrastructure used by VulnCheck's vulnerability research team.
• Procure, configure, and manage networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points) and IoT / OT devices used for security research and exploit validation.
• Manage lab network architecture — including segmentation, VLANs, out-of-band management, and isolated test environments to safely run exploit code against live devices.
• Administer Linux and Windows servers, hypervisors, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Proxmox, KVM) that host vulnerable software and services for testing.
• Maintain firmware libraries and device inventories, ensuring researchers have access to specific hardware and software versions needed for vulnerability analysis.
• Provide remote access infrastructure (VPN, jump hosts, remote console access) so distributed team members can interact with physical lab equipment.
• Automate environment provisioning, configuration management, and lab reset workflows using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
• Monitor lab systems for availability, performance, and security — and respond to issues promptly.
• Collaborate with researchers to understand upcoming research targets and proactively prepare the lab environments they need.
• Manage vendor relationships for hardware procurement, warranties, and RMA processes.

What You'll Bring

• 8+ years of experience in systems administration, lab operations, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration (Ubuntu, CentOS/RHEL, or similar).
• Solid networking fundamentals — TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewall configuration, and routing.
• Experience managing and configuring networking equipment (Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, etc).
• Familiarity with IoT devices and embedded systems — comfortable working with serial consoles, JTAG, firmware flashing, and device provisioning.
• Familiarity with OT/ICS devices and protocols is a huge plus.
• Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies (VMware, Proxmox, KVM, Docker).
• Experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform, or similar).
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple concurrent research efforts.
• Strong documentation habits and clear written communication.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go for automating lab workflows; familiarity with Go is a plus.

• Experience using Claude or other AI models for task automation. 
• Prior experience supporting a security research, penetration testing, or red team lab environment.
• Prior cybersecurity work experience (at a vendor or in government).
• Experience managing physical lab infrastructure remotely, including out-of-band management (IPMI/iLO/iDRAC), remote PDUs, and KVM-over-IP.

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Senior IT Administrator to be the dedicated on-site IT presence for our College Park office and the primary technical resource for two nearby satellite lab locations. This critical role involves providing hands-on support across the entire IT spectrum, including end-user helpdesk, A/V management, networking, and critical project work.

Responsibilities:

Onsite IT Operations and End-User Support

• Primary Technical Liaison: Serve as the dedicated, primary technical point of contact for the main College Park office, providing scheduled, expert support visits to two satellite lab locations in the region.
• Helpdesk & Desktop Support: Deliver hands-on Level 2 support, specializing in the timely diagnosis and resolution of all hardware, software, connectivity, and printer issues for local staff.
• Asset Lifecycle Management: Own the complete local IT inventory lifecycle, including the provisioning, maintenance, and retirement of all end-user hardware (laptops, monitors, peripherals), while ensuring continuous stocking of essential IT supplies.
• Lab Equipment Support: Provide dedicated operational and technical support for IT equipment within critical laboratory environments.
• A/V Management: Manage the setup, operation, and ongoing support of all conference room A/V equipment and provide reliable, on-the-spot support for meetings and occasional company-wide events.

Lab Infrastructure & Configuration Management (SDE/Automation Focus)

• Lab Workstation Management: Serve as the primary contact for lab IT support. This includes setting up new lab workstations (imaging and baseline), deploying standard configurations via playbooks, and maintaining a test workstation for pre-production changes.
• Data Access & Networking: Set up permissions for lab workstations to securely access IonQ data (e.g., shared drive, Confluence). Assist with deploying necessary lab network services (e.g., DNS server, Synology/shared drive configuration).
• Routine Maintenance: Coordinate and perform routine maintenance, including monthly software updates and reboots for lab workstations, in coordination with research teams.
• Documentation: Update and write guides for recurring lab IT tasks (e.g., remote connection, SSH, file sharing).

Network and Infrastructure Assistance

• Local Network Troubleshooting: Perform foundational network troubleshooting for common issues related to VPNs, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points (APs).
• Escalation & Liaison: Serve as the local technical liaison, escalating complex network issues to the core engineering teams and coordinating local efforts.
• Physical Deployment: Assist the network engineering team with the physical installation and de-installation of networking gear (e.g., racking/stacking switches, and deploying APs).

Strategic Projects and M&A Integration

• Corporate Projects: Actively participate in assigned internal corporate IT projects, such as system upgrades, security initiatives, and documentation/process standardization improvements.
• Remote Site Deployment: Travel occasionally to new or acquired satellite locations to execute the foundational installation of desktops, networking gear and audio/visual equipment.

Responsibilities:

• The HPC Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, deploys, documents, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software for HPC (high performance computing) systems based upon documented requirements.  Critical for an HSE is either a very strong math background and/or a very strong computer hardware background.
