Job Summary

The GRC Lead drives the execution and continuous improvement of AEG's Governance, Risk, and Compliance program, with broad ownership across enterprise risk management, third-party risk management, compliance, and information security governance. They will contributor partner with IT, Legal, Privacy, Finance, and business leaders to translate risk into actionable insights, strengthen risk visibility, and improve program effectiveness. The role operates with a high degree of autonomy, leads complex cross-functional initiatives, and is accountable for advancing GRC program maturity and driving timely, measurable outcomes.

Essential Functions

• Enterprise Risk Management (ERM):
  • Own and continuously enhance the enterprise risk management framework, including risk taxonomy, scoring methodology, and governance processes 
  • Lead enterprise-wide risk identification and assessment workshops with senior stakeholders across business and technology functions 
  • Drive risk quantification and scenario analysis to support risk-informed business decisions 
  • Own the enterprise risk register, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and executive-level relevance 
  • Identify gaps in current risk processes and implement scalable improvements to advance program maturity
• Risk Reporting & Governance:
  • Design and deliver executive-level risk reporting, dashboards, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) that drive decision-making
  • Lead preparation of materials for Risk Committees and senior leadership forums
  • Establish and enforce governance processes for risk acceptance, escalation, and tracking
  • Ensure audit-ready documentation of risk decisions, control effectiveness, and program outputs
  • Continuously improve reporting quality, automation, and visibility of enterprise risk
• Compliance & Assurance:
  • Lead compliance assessments across frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC), ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements 
  • Own coordination of internal and external audits, including stakeholder alignment and evidence management 
  • Drive remediation efforts to closure, ensuring accountability and measurable reduction of control gaps
  • Own and continuously improve policy, standards, and procedure frameworks
  • Evaluate control effectiveness and recommend enhancements to strengthen the control environment
• Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM):
  • Own and mature the third-party risk lifecycle, including intake, risk tiering, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring
  • Partner with Legal, Procurement, and business stakeholders to assess vendor risk and define appropriate controls
  • Establish and enforce risk-based due diligence standards and assessment methodologies
  • Track and report on third-party risk posture, including remediation and risk acceptance decisions
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and scale the TPRM process
• Information Security Governance:
  • Provide risk advisory for new systems, technologies, and business initiatives, ensuring alignment with security and compliance requirements
  • Drive control design and documentation in partnership with security and engineering teams
  • Ensure governance processes evolve in line with regulatory requirements and business changes
  • Influence stakeholders to adopt risk-informed practices and control improvements
• Program Enablement & Leadership:
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve risk awareness, engagement, and adoption across the organization
• Develop and deliver playbooks, training, and guidance to enhance risk literacy
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering capability development and consistency
• Identify and implement process improvements across the GRC program to increase efficiency and effectiveness
• Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on risk prioritization and trade-off decisions

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree (4-year) in Information Security, Computer Science, Business, Risk Management, or related field; or equivalent related work experience
• 6-8 years experience in GRC, ERM, or risk/compliance roles
• Demonstrated ownership of risk programs or major program components (ERM, TPRM, or compliance)
• Experience working in enterprise environments with cross-functional stakeholders
• Deep understanding of ERM concepts (risk appetite, inherent/residual risk, KRIs, scenario analysis)
• Strong experience with regulatory and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC, GDPR/CPRA)
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and drive initiatives from concept through execution
• Ability to translate technical and risk concepts into business decisions
• Experience building executive-level reporting and dashboards
• Proficiency with GRC platforms (e.g., Archer, ServiceNow GRC, OneTrust, LogicGate)
• Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
• CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA highly preferred

Pay Scale: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00

About This Role

We are seeking a meticulous Nuclear Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to join our team. The QA Manager will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of operations, equipment, and processes within a nuclear fuel cycle facility. This role involves being part of the team developing, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance programs to meet regulatory and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) programs in compliance with NRC, DOE, and ASME standards, including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, NQA-1, and other relevant requirements.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Oversee the qualification of suppliers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with QA requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and regulatory teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Review and approve technical documentation, including procedures, plans, and reports, to ensure alignment with QA standards.
• Support the development of training programs on quality assurance policies, procedures, and best practices for facility personnel.
• Prepare and present QA performance metrics and reports to management and regulatory bodies.
• Participate in regulatory reviews and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance with nuclear quality standards.
• Stay informed about evolving regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to nuclear quality assurance.

Basic Qualifications

• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to perform trade studies and make clear recommendations using first principles and engineering fundamentals even with partial information.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field. 
• Strong knowledge of quality standards, including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, and ISO 9001.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements from the NRC, DOE, and other applicable authorities.
• Proficiency in QA tools and methodologies, including root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and auditing techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $140,000-$200,000 annually. 

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. POSITION SUMMARY

B. Riley Securities Holdings, Inc. (BRSH) is a FINRA-registered broker-dealer holding company and subsidiary of BRC Group Holdings (RILY). We are looking for a technically sharp, operationally minded Controller to serve as the cornerstone of our accounting function. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for a senior accounting professional who thrives in a fast-moving environment and wants to be part of building something — not just maintaining it.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller owns the general ledger, the monthly close, all internal and regulatory financial reporting, and the development of a growing accounting team. This role sits at the intersection of technical accounting, broker-dealer regulation, and cross-functional partnership.  As the firm continues to evaluate its organizational structure and affiliated business lines, the Controller will be well-positioned to grow with the firm and take on expanded responsibilities over time.  This role requires someone who can operate with precision, exercise sound judgment, and communicate clearly across the organization. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

General Ledger & Month-End Close 

• Own the monthly close calendar from Day 1 through sign-off; manage close task lists and milestone tracking across the team 

• Confirm reversal of prior month accruals; approve and post all recurring and non-recurring journal entries in NetSuite 

• Prepare and review the accrued expense analysis; book vendor, legal, payroll, and AP accruals at period-end 

• Reconcile and maintain the prepaid expense schedule; reclassify prepaid amortization monthly 

• Record intangible asset amortization; update amortization schedules and tie to the general ledger 

• Maintain the deferred revenue schedule; monitor deal status updates and approve revenue recognition entries as milestones are achieved 

• Record deferred rent and right-of-use asset entries; maintain supporting lease schedules 

• Monitor and clear the intercompany script account (890010); ensure zero balance at period close 

• Manage intercompany allocations, wires, and entries with parent and affiliated entities (BRSH, BRS, BRC) 

• Review and approve all AP invoice entries; manage AP period open/close cycle and confirm reclassifications are complete 

• Run and tie out the AP trial balance; resolve outstanding items with the accounts payable function 

Revenue Accounting — Investment Banking 

• Create and maintain deal sheets for each IB underwriting transaction based on prospectus, engagement letters, closing documents, and NFS syndicate account activity 

• Record IB revenue and related receivables in NetSuite; obtain business unit sign-off on revenue recognition timing 

• Manage the IB accounts receivable schedule; track retainer fee invoices, deferred revenue, and collection status 

• Process co-manager OOP expense settlements: gather invoices, obtain approval, record in NetSuite, and initiate AP payment 

• Prepare and distribute settlement letters; send to co-managers and manage 90-day payment deadlines 

• Record ATM program revenues and payables; reconcile ATM activity reports monthly 

• Track M&A and advisory deal revenues; record G/L entries upon confirmation of closing documentation 

• Monitor deferred deal expenses; reclassify to recognized expense as associated revenue is booked 

• Calculate net capital requirements for IB underwriting transactions; report haircut impacts to CFO 

• Maintain the IB revenue deal sheet tied to NetSuite; distribute monthly revenue summary to CFO and CEO 

Commission Revenue Reconciliation — Institutional Sales & Trading 

• Reconcile secondary commission revenue to Xtiva replication files and NFS clearing statements each month 

• Run commission reports (primary and secondary), trade-date analysis, and as-of-trade adjustments; resolve discrepancies promptly 

• Manage the CSA (Commission Sharing Agreement) schedule: receive final CSA amounts, approve fund transfers, monitor bank activity, and approve CSA payments to counterparties 

• Reconcile NFS accounts (syndicate, cash, and investment accounts); create roll-forward reconciliations and post NetSuite entries 

• Process ATM commission reductions; update related schedules and notify business leads 

• Manage commission rebate invoices for introducing broker relationships; send invoices to counterparties and obtain approval before payment processing 

• Maintain the manual commission receivable schedule; review and route to business unit heads for approval 

Payroll Processing & Compensation Accruals 

• Process regular salary and commission payroll runs; analyze all payroll lines for accuracy, completeness, and proper GL coding 

• Export the payroll general ledger report; build a pivot summary and reconcile to the payroll bank account 

• Upload finalized payroll journal entries to NetSuite; reconcile the payroll bank reconciliation 

• Prepare the payroll accrual at period-end based on the most recent payroll run; create the reversing accrual for the following period 

• Maintain accrued bonus and commission schedules; update for payments processed and reconcile balances to NetSuite 

• Book primary and secondary compensation accruals; obtain accrual inputs from business unit heads and reconcile to approved compensation pools 

• Prepare commission detail by person and type for each commission payroll run; distribute to relevant parties for review 

• Track and record employee loans: monitor interest accrual, record payments, and maintain employee receivable schedule 

Bank & Clearing Account Reconciliations 

• Review and approve all bank reconciliations monthly: BONY operating, BONY CSA, BONY DTCC, BONY payroll, and other custodian accounts 

• Monitor daily bank activity; approve daily cash receipt entries from accounting staff 

• Reconcile the NFS main account and all sub-accounts; create roll-forward reconciliations and post NetSuite entries for positions, P&L, transfers, and as-of trades 

• Review and approve the Pershing sundry account reconciliation and corresponding entries 

• Reconcile DTCC participant fund balance; obtain and process DTCC billing invoices 

• Obtain and approve reconciliations for other clearing accounts; review activity and post corresponding entries 

• Confirm all cash receipts are entered; reclassify negative NFS balances to the AP payable account 

• Review outstanding checks for void and reissue as warranted 

Regulatory Reporting — FOCUS & Net Capital 

• Prepare and file the monthly FOCUS Report (FINRA Form X-17A-5) for BRS on the FINRA Gateway by business day 17 

• Update FOCUS income statement and balance sheet summary schedules; calculate security haircuts for net capital compliance under SEC Rule 15c3-1 

• Obtain CFO approval on the FOCUS Report prior to FINRA filing; distribute to compliance and designated counterparties 

• Prepare and file the monthly leverage report; review with CFO and file on FINRA Gateway 

• Maintain FOCUS Report packages with supporting reconciliations; ensure consistency with the NetSuite trial balance 

• Monitor the market blockage report: update positions, buy volume, total trade volume, and calculate haircut charges per clearing firm data 

• Review contractual commitments at month-end; track open underwriting positions and associated regulatory capital obligations 

Fixed Assets, Stock Compensation & Other Balance Sheet Items 

• Review the fixed asset clearing account monthly; create or update fixed asset records in NetSuite for new additions 

• Process monthly depreciation; maintain and review the fixed asset roll-forward schedule; obtain sign-off 

• Prepare stock compensation journal entries: RSA and RSU vesting (net-of-tax), stock expense accruals, and ESPP entries on applicable cycles 

• Coordinate with HR and valuation advisors (e.g., Stout) for current fair value inputs under ASC 718 on vesting events 

• Maintain the bad debt allowance schedule; review receivable aging, prepare allowance entries, and obtain CFO approval 

• Record note interest accruals for applicable investment positions; maintain supporting interest schedules 

• Update the ASC 820 fair value schedule for Level 3 private securities; obtain pricing from approved valuation sources 

• Manage sublease rental invoices: issue to subtenants, track receipt, and record in NetSuite 

• Process 401(k) match true-up entries; manage ESPP stock expense accrual semi-annually 

Bloomberg & Vendor Expense Allocations 

• Obtain Bloomberg terminal user lists and expense data monthly; calculate cost allocation by user and department 

• Create monthly Bloomberg accrual and reversing entry; post the final allocation journal entry to NetSuite 

• Distribute allocated Bloomberg expense detail to business unit heads for review and confirmation 

Audit, SEC Reporting & Internal Controls 

• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for Crowe LLP on the annual audit and quarterly reviews; manage the audit request list and deliverable schedule 

• Prepare and maintain IPE-compliant financial reporting packages (YTD and QTD) for all audit workpaper areas 

• Periodic financial reports and disclosure packages 

• Maintain SOX-aligned documentation for key controls across revenue recognition, payroll, bank reconciliations, and regulatory reporting 

• Coordinate with BDO (external auditor for parent company BRC Group Holdings) on consolidated audit requests, intercompany reconciliations, and shared-service accounting matters as required 

Team Leadership & Process 

• Manage and develop a team currently comprising a Sr. Accountant and Assistant Controller; assign daily work, provide technical guidance, and sign off on all reconciliations prior to CFO submission 

• Maintain and update the monthly close checklist; provide close status updates to CFO throughout the cycle 

• Drive continuous improvement in close efficiency; identify automation and process enhancement opportunities within NetSuite 

• Establish and maintain documented accounting policies and procedures consistent with GAAP and broker-dealer regulatory requirements 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Required

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a broker-dealer, investment bank, or financial services firm

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Manage full-cycle accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll review, and fixed assets across 80+ store locations.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close cycles; ensure timely and accurate financial statements prepared in accordance with US GAAP.
• Oversee unit-level P&L reporting and partner with Operations to analyze store-level performance, food & beverage cost variances, and labor efficiency metrics.
• Maintain and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls appropriate for a fast-growth restaurant environment.
• Prepare executive-level financial reports, KPI dashboards, and variance analyses for the CFO and Board.
• Manage lease accounting across all store locations in compliance with ASC 842.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting staff (AP, AR, Staff Accountants) - setting clear goals and fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.
• Support new store opening (NSO) accounting processes including pre-opening cost tracking and capitalization.

Audit Management

• Serve as primary liaison with external auditors for the annual financial statement audit and any lender or franchisor-required reviews.
• Design and maintain a robust internal control framework across corporate and store operations, including cash handling, inventory, and POS reconciliation controls.
• Conduct or oversee periodic internal audits of store-level cash, gift card programs, and food & beverage inventory.
• Prepare audit schedules, work papers, and supporting documentation; ensure all deliverables are provided on time with minimal auditor adjustments.
• Track and remediate audit findings promptly; report control gaps and corrective actions to the Controller/CFO.
• Maintain audit-ready records year-round; support due diligence processes for future financing rounds or potential M&A activity.

Tax Compliance & Planning

• Oversee all federal, state, and local tax filings for a multi-state operation including corporate income tax, sales & use tax (food & beverage exemptions), and business licenses.
• Manage sales tax compliance across all operating states — including nexus analysis, exemption certificate management, and timely remittance — critical in a multi-state QSR environment.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors on the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns and tax provision (ASC 740).
• Monitor state and local tax law changes affecting the restaurant industry; advise management on impact and planning opportunities.
• Manage property tax filings for leased locations; coordinate appeals where appropriate.
• Respond to tax notices and audits from taxing authorities; manage resolution process.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing to support financial modeling for new menu rollouts, LTO pricing, and loyalty program economics.
• Collaborate with FP&A on annual budgeting, quarterly re-forecasting, and new store pro forma development.
• Support technology initiatives including POS system integrations, ERP upgrades, and automated reconciliation tools.
• Assist the Controller/CFO with lender reporting, covenant compliance, and any future capital raise or M&A processes.

Who you are

Metropolis is seeking an Operational Compliance Auditor to add value and improve our operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The ideal candidate possesses thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and sound judgment, as you will review control processes to ensure the reliability of information, compliance with regulations, and the safeguarding of assets. In this role, you will act as an independent partner to operations management, interacting with various levels of leadership to provide timely recommendations and navigate difficult conversations regarding findings to ensure the achievement of our operational and financial goals.

What you'll do

• Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity and goal achievement
• Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings

• Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions
• Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding Metropolis's parking equipment, industry rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards

• Travel 25-35% of the time

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 4 years experience in internal audit, risk advisory, or public accounting (Big 4 or similar environment preferred)
• Solid understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), SOX requirements, and enterprise risk management.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred), data analytics tools, and audit management software.
• Ability to communicate complex issues with clarity, professionalism, and tact.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Passion for innovation and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Desired Qualifications:

• CPA, CIA, or CFE certification strongly preferred.

Role Overview

The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for qualifying, developing, and sustaining suppliers to ensure conformance to quality management system requirements and detailed technical design specifications across mechanical and electrical components and assemblies.

This role partners closely with Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Program Management to ensure suppliers can consistently deliver parts and assemblies that meet performance, reliability, and production scalability requirements. The SQE drives supplier readiness from early design engagement through production ramp and lifecycle support.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical fluency in mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes, deep working knowledge of QMS standards (e.g., ISO 9001 / AS9100), and experience implementing structured supplier qualification frameworks (APQP, PPAP, FAI, audits, control plans, etc.).

Responsibilities

1. Supplier Qualification & Technical Capability Assessment

• Evaluate supplier manufacturing capabilities for mechanical components (machining, fabrication, casting, additive, special processes) and electrical assemblies (cables, harnesses, PCBAs, electro-mechanical assemblies).
• Assess supplier ability to meet detailed engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and performance requirements.
• Conduct on-site supplier audits and technical assessments.
• Qualify suppliers through structured processes including:
  • Process audits
  • First Article Inspection (FAI/AS9102)
  • Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
  • Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (PFMEA)

2. Design & Development Integration

• Partner with Engineering during design reviews to:
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback.
  • Identify high-risk features, special processes, and key characteristics.
  • Define inspection and validation requirements.
• Ensure clear technical flow-down of:
  • Drawings and specifications
  • Critical-to-quality characteristics
  • Source control requirements
  • Regulatory and compliance requirements

3. Quality Systems & Compliance Oversight

• Audit and evaluate supplier Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, AS9100 or equivalent).
• Ensure suppliers maintain:
  • Control plans
  • Inspection plans
  • Calibration systems
  • Traceability and configuration control
• Verify compliance with contractual quality clauses and regulatory requirements (e.g., ITAR where applicable).

4. Production Readiness & Risk Mitigation

• Drive supplier readiness for prototype, low-rate initial production, and rate increases.
• Analyze key and critical characteristics and validate process capability.
• Develop containment plans and manage supplier risk mitigation activities.
• Support MRB and nonconformance management related to purchased materials.

5. Corrective Action & Continuous Improvement

• Lead Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR).
• Perform root cause analysis (8D, DMAIC, 5-Why, Fishbone).
• Validate effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive measurable improvements in:
  • First pass yield
  • Defect rate
  • On-time delivery
  • Process capability (Cp/Cpk)

6. Cross-Functional Supplier Performance Management

• Partner with Sourcing to manage supplier scorecards.
• Support strategic sourcing decisions with technical and quality input.
• Provide executive-ready summaries of supplier risk and performance trends.

 Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical discipline.
• 5–10+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Quality Engineering in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience qualifying suppliers for:
• Precision mechanical components
• Electrical assemblies (e.g., cables, harnesses, electro-mechanical systems)
• Working knowledge of:
• ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems
• APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC
• AS9102 First Article Inspection
• GD&T interpretation
• Experience conducting supplier audits and source inspections.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including:
• CNC machining, fabrication, special processes (heat treat, coating, anodize)
• Wire harness fabrication and electrical termination methods
• Functional and environmental testing methodologies
• Experience managing supplier corrective action and root cause investigations.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.

Preferred Requirements 

• AS9100 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
• Experience scaling suppliers from prototype to high-rate production.
• Experience working with government or defense programs.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and PLM tools.
• IPC-A-620 or IPC-A-610 familiarity (for electrical assemblies).
