Data Scientist position
We are looking for a talented and experienced Data Scientist to join our Research Data Science team and play a key role in shaping the future of cloud-native network security. Your primary mission will be to lead the development and deployment of AI-driven capabilities that protect enterprise networks at scale through Cato’s SASE platform, powering core products such as our AI assitant, DLP, XDR, IPS, and more.
Leveraging rich, real-time data from our global backbone and Cloud data warehouse, you will apply advanced reserach analytics, machine learning, deep learning and GenAI techniques to solve complex cybersecurity and networking challenges.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models that enhance Cato’s security and networking products
- Leading networking and security research, including analysis of large-scale network traffic and security data to identify patterns, threats, and opportunities for product improvement
- Research, fine-tune, and train models optimized for real-time inline inference under limited compute resources
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and support teams to translate product and business needs into AI solutions
- Define and track success metrics to ensure AI solutions meet performance and business goals
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Data Science roles
- Hands-on experience in networking and/or cybersecurity domains
- Proven experience building and deploying LLM-based applications and agents (e.g., RAG pipelines, tool-use agents, prompt engineering at scale)
- Strong foundation in classical machine learning methods (supervised, unsupervised learning, clustering)
- Practical experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, including NLP techniques
- Proven experience deploying models on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently

About the Role
As a Data Scientist in the CDS R&D team, you will play a key role in researching, developing, and productionizing advanced data science solutions that power QuantHealth’s clinical simulation and prediction capabilities.
This role is designed for a strong applied data scientist who enjoys solving complex, ambiguous problems end-to-end: from data exploration and feature engineering, through model development and validation, to building scalable pipelines and AI-driven workflows. You will work closely with clinical experts, product, delivery, engineering, and other data science teams to translate challenging clinical and biomedical questions into robust data-driven solutions.
The ideal candidate brings several years of hands-on experience in applied data science, machine learning, and data pipeline development. Additional qualities we look at in candidates are scientific thinking, project ownership, and the ability to independently learn and operate in complex domains. Experience with biomedical or clinical data is a strong advantage.
This position involves working with a modern Python-based data science stack, building predictive models, developing data and ML pipelines, and contributing to the continuous improvement of QuantHealth’s clinical trial simulation product. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and validate data science models, algorithms, and tools that support QuantHealth’s internal and customer-facing clinical simulation products.
- Build end-to-end data science solutions, including data ingestion, feature engineering, model development, evaluation, and deployment-ready pipelines.
- Collaborate with clinical, product, delivery, engineering, and data science teams to prototype and implement data-driven solutions.
- Explore, process, and integrate diverse data sources, including clinical trial data, EHR/RWD, biomedical literature, biomedical ontologies, and knowledge graphs.
- Develop scalable ETL and data pipelines to support automated clinical simulation workflows.

About the Role

About the Role
Pagaya is seeking an experienced data scientist to join our Model Validation team. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of data science knowledge and analytical skills, understanding in Finance and an understanding of the regulatory landscape of credit lending. As a core team member, you will work closely with model developers to assess model performance, data quality, conceptual soundness, and produce thorough, compliant documentation for regulatory review, ensuring our models meet the highest standards. You will be required to challenge the models, helping Pagaya deliver high-quality validated models for loan pricing and underwriting.

- Conduct thorough validation of ML models to assess performance, data quality, robustness, conceptual soundness, regulatory requirements and more
- Conduct independent tests to assess performance and limitations, and establish model assumptions
- Suggest and develop alternative models to challenge and improve existing models
- Provide insights into the' strengths and weaknesses of models in terms of Data Science methodology and Finance as well as recommend practical solutions.

What we're looking for
- Strong Deep Learning Expertise – Comprehensive knowledge of DL theory paired with the practical intuition gained from training many networks; comfortable working with SOTA pretrained models while understanding the underlying mechanics of convergence and scale.
- Proven ability to deliver production ML models with measurable business impact - from problem definition through A/B testing -> deployment and outcome tracking
- AI-Native Builder Mentality – Comfortable breaking conventional development cycles to build fast and ship often. You have a deep mastery of the modern GenAI stack for development, using it to automate the mundane and focus your cognitive load on high-level architecture and model performance.
- Strong programming skills in Python and Deep Learning stack (PyTorch, scikit-learn, XGBoost) with ability to write clean, efficient code for production systems
- Self-directed research capability - demonstrated ability to independently explore unfamiliar ML domains, synthesize technical literature, and implement novel approaches
- Structured problem-solving methodology - ability to decompose complex business problems, design solution approaches, and communicate technical findings to stakeholders

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist / Applied AI Researcher with deep expertise in NLP and LLM-based systems, and the ability to operate across the full lifecycle, from problem formulation and research design to production deployment and real-world iteration.
You won’t be working on isolated experiments. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team that owns the system end-to-end and is responsible for how it behaves under real production traffic.
This role requires strong scientific discipline and the maturity to balance innovation with practical constraints.
What you’ll do
- End-to-End Ownership: Lead AI security solutions from problem formulation and research design through model development, evaluation, and production deployment. Ensure solutions are measurable, reliable, and effective under real-world traffic.
- Drive Technical Direction: Take responsibility for ambiguous AI security problems, propose thoughtful approaches, and drive structured experimentation and deep model analysis.
- Build for Scale: Design systems that are not only accurate, but scalable, efficient, and robust.
- Staying Updated: Continuously explore advances in NLP and LLM-based systems, and critically assess what is worth integrating into a production environment.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience applying NLP/DL algorithms, techniques to real-world problems, with strong intuition for textual data and model behavior.
- Experience working with LLMs, with a strong grasp of practical best practices and the judgment to apply them throughout the R&D lifecycle when building task-specific models.
- Strong proficiency in Python and modern DL frameworks (PyTorch, HuggingFace, etc.).
- Experience designing experiments, defining metrics, and analyzing model failures.
- A strong drive to solve complex AI security challenges, with both curiosity and pragmatism.

We are seeking a Senior Scientist to join the MyHeritage Science Team, an innovative research team that works with one of the largest DNA datasets in the world. In this critical role, you will build new features and algorithms and improve existing ones, including ethnicity estimation, relationship inference, and prediction of phenotypic traits. This work directly impacts millions of users by providing them with accurate information on their ancestry and family connections.
This unique position offers an exciting blend of academic rigor and industry application, focused on the science behind MyHeritage DNA products. You will apply state-of-the-art science and cutting-edge methods to analyze millions of DNA samples and family trees. Your efforts will help users worldwide discover their heritage and connect with family through science.
What you’ll do
- Work with a huge volume of genetic and genealogical data, which includes the genomes of over 8 million people around the world and billions of genealogical records.
- Develop and expand the company’s DNA analysis toolset, combining bioinformatics, population and statistical genetics, and machine learning, and testing new ideas stemming from both the product perspective and the scientific literature.
- Take ownership of end-to-end development of state-of-the-art DNA products, from conception through research, development and engineering, all the way to mature products released to millions of people worldwide.
- Work closely with engineering, product, and data teams to translate research outcomes into user-facing features and tools.
- Clearly communicate scientific concepts and progress internally and externally.
- Work with bright DNA researchers in a vibrant intellectual environment.
What you bring
- Advanced degree (ideally Ph.D.) in Genetics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field; and 2+ years of relevant experience in industry or postdoctoral studies.
- Strong background in:
- Population genetics and/or statistical genetics.
- Analysis of genotyping or sequencing data.
- Genomic data pipelines and bioinformatics tools.
- Machine learning or statistical modeling applied to biological data.
- Interrogating and troubleshooting data.
- Strong programming skills in Python/R, using scientific and machine learning toolboxes.
- Hands-on expertise in large-scale parallel computing platforms (cloud computing (AWS), computer clusters, Spark, etc.).
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with production-scale computational pipelines.
- Familiarity with tools such as Snakemake, Airflow, or other pipeline managers is an advantage.
- Experience with AWS is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
