SUMMARY:

• As a Senior Big Data Engineer, working within Placer.ai's Mobility Group, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our location analytics platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Data Pipeline Architecture and Development: Design, build, and optimize robust and scalable data pipelines to process, transform, and integrate large volumes of data from various sources into our analytics platform.
• Data Quality Assurance: Implement data validation, cleansing, and enrichment techniques to ensure high-quality and consistent data across the platform.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong hands-on Apache Spark experience — building and operating pipelines in production, not just familiarity
• Proficiency in PySpark or Scala for Spark development
• Proven track record delivering ETL pipelines and data integration at scale
• Solid SQL skills and command of data modeling concepts
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) in a production data context
• Comfortable working with distributed systems and big data formats (Parquet, Delta Lake)

Nice to have:

• Experience with pipeline orchestration tools, particularly Apache Airflow
• Exposure to the geospatial or location analytics domain
• Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem components

The Impact of This Role

As a Product Manager for our GenAI team*, you will own the data backbone of Gen AI Intelligence. You'll need to be sharp on how to combine, utilize, and analyze diverse data sources** to answer the questions our customers need answered.

You'll work at the intersection of our Data Science team, Data Engineering team, and Platform team—turning raw data assets into user-facing products. But building the right products requires understanding the domain: you'll dig into SEO/GEO workflows, spend time with customers and design partners, and learn how marketing teams actually operate. Your core mandate:

• Own a product area end-to-end within Gen AI Intelligence—from the underlying data and pipelines, through the user-facing experiences, to how customers extract value via APIs and integrations.
• Define what data we need, how we structure it, and how we expose it to users and downstream systems
• Deeply understand user workflows and jobs-to-be-done to identify the highest-leverage data solutions
• Partner with Data Science to translate models and extractions into usable, reliable data pipelines
• Ensure data quality, coverage, and governance across our Gen AI data estate
• Drive product development end-to-end: from discovery through definition, prototyping, design, development, and deployment—with continuous iteration
• Collaborate across a multi-disciplinary team: data scientists, data engineers, full-stack developers, UX designers, product marketers, and business stakeholders

What you'll do day-to-day

• Obsess over user context: Understand how SEO practitioners, content marketers, and marketing leaders actually work—what questions they're trying to answer, what data would unlock value, and where current solutions fall short
• Define data products end-to-end: From discovery through definition, schema design, pipeline development, and delivery—ensuring consistent quality and velocity
• Connect data to user outcomes: Work closely with product teams that consume your data (reporting UX, recommendations, APIs) to ensure the data products actually solve user problems
• Partner deeply with Data Science and Engineering: Translate DS models into production-ready data products; define requirements for data engineering pipelines; prioritize platform investments; 
• Define the core metrics, datasets, reports, and insights that will be made available to our users through our SaaS platform, APIs and MCPs.
• Own data quality and coverage: Define metrics for data completeness, accuracy, and freshness; build feedback loops to continuously improve
• Make tradeoffs with evidence: Use quantitative and qualitative analysis and user research to prioritize ruthlessly—not everything can be built, so you need to know what matters most

• 3+ years as a Product Manager on data-centric products (data platforms, analytics products, ML-powered features, or similar)—you've shipped data products that users depend on

The Research Director is a critical leadership position within Pagaya. SUMMARY:

About the Role

Pagaya is seeking an experienced data scientist to join our Model Validation team. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of data science knowledge and analytical skills, understanding in Finance and an understanding of the regulatory landscape of credit lending. About the Role     

We are looking for a hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong cloud-native mindset to build, maintain, and evolve our highly scalable, highly-available cloud infrastructure. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, security, and automation across our entire engineering organization. You will promote communication, integration, and collaboration to significantly enhance our software development productivity and reliability. You'll work closely with engineering and product teams to streamline delivery, enforce platform standards, and enable a high-velocity development environment—all while keeping reliability and security top of mind.

Responsibilities

• Design, Automate, and Manage complex cloud infrastructure on AWS using best-in-class Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Lead the operation and enhancement of our production Kubernetes environments (EKS), focusing on automation, security, observability, and seamless CI/CD integration.
• Drive continuous improvement across platform tooling, developer experience, and operational processes to meet our ambitious performance and uptime goals.
• Implement and enforce security-first infrastructure patterns, including strong IAM, network segmentation, and secure secrets management.
• Actively contribute to high-level technical design discussions and cross-functional architectural decision-making, ensuring solutions align with long-term platform strategy.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or in a similar infrastructure-focused role.
• Strong hands-on expertise across the AWS Stack (e.g. EC2, EKS, RDS, VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda).
• Mastery of Infrastructure as Code - Terraform or equivalent.
• Deep operational knowledge of Kubernetes, including architecture, cluster management, networking, and advanced debugging in production environments. 
• Strong expertise in designing and managing CI/CD methodologies and platforms (e.g. Jenkins, Github Actions).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, DataDog, Coralogix (OTEL), Grafana etc.
• Proven prior experience building and maintaining highly-available, production-grade, and service-oriented systems.
• Strong scripting and automation background in languages such as Python or Bash.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with the ability to articulate complex technical needs and influence cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of AWS Networking - an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• As SOX Compliance Specialist you will interact with control owners to conduct the documentation of controls, walkthroughs and testing of control design and operating effectiveness. 
• Assist with the development and ongoing update of SOX documentation including process flowcharts, risk and controls matrices and evaluation controls as new systems are developed and/or process changes
• Identify gaps in current controls and processes and develop remediation plans.
• Work proactively with process owners to implement remediation plans and closure of deficiencies.
• Partner with Finance, IT, Legal and other departments to ensure compliance across business units.
• Act as a liaison with external auditors and consultants to provide necessary documentation and support.
• Coordinate with the auditors to resolve any discrepancies or findings related to SOX audits.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on compliance efforts, findings, and recommendations.
• Support the IT Consulting team to manage IT General Controls for SOX compliance.
• Coordinating and facilitating the reports related to quarterly Internal Audit projects.
• Track action plans and follow-ups on resolved Internal Audit findings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting and Finance. 
• 3-5 years of experience in auditing, internal controls, risk management, or compliance.
• Knowledge of SEC Reporting guidelines, PCAOB Standards, and COSO Framework- an advantage.
• Excellent English.

About the Role

The Group Lead is a critical leadership position within Pagaya. This role involves managing a high-performing group responsible for driving profitability and strategic decision-making through advanced data analytics, optimization strategies, and predictive modeling related to loan funding and issuance (specifically in the Personal Loans product, which is Pagaya’s largest product).

This is primarily a management-focused role, requiring a high level of technical understanding to guide the team, combined with the professional maturity and executive presence necessary to effectively collaborate with and present to company leadership.

Responsibilities

• Leading, mentoring and managing a multidisciplinary group comprising Data Scientists, Data Analysts and Optimization Specialists.
• Defining and executing overall strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals and product roadmap.
• Oversighting of the group's projects, initiating new ideas and proactively improving the company’s abilities.
• Fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making, continuous learning, and high-velocity iteration within the team.
• Directing the team in performing sophisticated data analytics to identify trends, market anomalies, and segmentation opportunities impacting profitability.
• Leading the development and implementation of optimization algorithms and strategies aimed at maximizing loan portfolio performance, minimizing risk, and increasing overall profitability.
• Translating complex data insights into clear, actionable business recommendations for partnerships and operational teams, to ensure seamless integration of data-driven solutions.
• Serving as the primary representative of the group, presenting complex findings, strategic recommendations, and group performance metrics to the company's executive team and other departments.
• Guiding the development, validation, and deployment of advanced predictive models to enhance performance.

Requirements

• 8+ years professional experience in Data Science or Data Analytics, preferably within FinTech.
• Proven experience 5+ years managing and mentoring multidisciplinary teams of Data Scientists and Analysts in a fast-paced environment.
• High-level understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and optimization algorithms.
• Master's degree or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or Computer Science.
• Descent knowledge in programming languages (e.g., Python) and databases (SQL). Experience with cloud computing environments is a plus.
• An authoritative leader who navigates high-stakes environments with strategic maturity and exceptional communication.

 What You’ll Do

• Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of the product, from ideation, through development, to launch and beyond. Ensure that each stage of the product lifecycle is executed in line with the overall product strategy.
• Feature Development and Prioritization: Collaborate with engineering and design teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure timely and quality deliverables.
• Customer Needs Analysis: Continuously gather and analyze customer feedback to understand their needs and pain points. Translate these insights into product enhancements and new feature ideas.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, underwriting, customer support, and other departments to ensure a unified approach to product development and launch strategies.
• Roadmap Planning: Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap, clearly communicating the vision, objectives, and priorities to stakeholders at all levels.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor and evaluate product performance using key metrics. Use this data to make informed decisions about future product iterations and improvements.
