As a Staff Product Designer, you won’t be embedded in a single team or feature area. Instead, you’ll operate at the product line level, shaping the future across multiple domains. You’ll work 3-12 months ahead of delivery — exploring opportunities, prototyping bold ideas, and building narratives that influence leaders across R&D and GTM.
This role is about vision, strategy, and influence at scale - working at the very edge of what’s possible in applied AI, defining what’s next for a $30B+ company.

At HubSpot, we value both flexibility and connection. Whether you’re a Remote employee or work from the Office, we want you to start your journey here by building strong connections with your team and peers. If you are joining our Engineering team, you will be required to attend a regional HubSpot office for in-person onboarding. If you join our broader Product team, you’ll also attend other in-person events, such as your Product Group Summit and other gatherings, to continue building on those connections.

About the Role
As a Staff Product Designer for Security & Compliance, you'll lead design for complex security experiences that help organizations protect their software supply chain, manage vulnerabilities, and meet compliance requirements. This role sits at the intersection of deep technical security concepts and user-centered design—translating intricate workflows into clear, usable experiences for developers and security teams.
Your initial focus will be on Software Supply Chain Security (provenance and attestation, signing and verification, dependency firewall, SBOM, and malicious package detection). Over time, your work will span the broader Security & Compliance portfolio, including application security scanners, policy governance, vulnerability management, and agentic orchestration. You'll partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to ensure independently-owned features connect into coherent customer workflows.
This role requires deep systems thinking. Security decisions ripple across the platform—from CI/CD pipelines to registries to deployment. You'll define interaction patterns that scale across product areas, contribute foundational components to our Pajamas Design System, and help establish the design language for how GitLab communicates risk, trust, and compliance status to users.
Staff designers are key culture carriers who model collaboration, iterative ways of working, and high craft standards while mentoring other designers in the organization.

How we work
CitySwift is headquartered in Ireland, with our second office hub in London. We also have team members based in Australia, Singapore and across parts of the EU.
Hybrid working is the default in Ireland (with some exceptions), with remote and hybrid options across the UK and beyond. All roles have core hours of 10am to 4pm, giving you flexibility around how you structure your day. Collaboration really matters to us, with quarterly and bi-monthly meet-ups depending on your department or area of work, but we’re sensible about it – we won’t ask you to come into the office to tick a box. Our offices are designed for proper collaboration (and are dog friendly!).
We also believe trust and rest matter. Annual leave starts at 25 days, and our work abroad programme gives you the option to work from another country for up to six weeks. We move fast, expect a lot from each other and back people to do their best work.
The role
This role exists because of growth. You’ll be stepping into real problems that matter now, not hypotheticals, and will be expected to make things better, faster and more scalable. This role requires someone who has a very strong understanding of JavaScript and can write clean, well-documented code but is not afraid to implement a quick fix when necessary. While you don't need to have prior experience with specific libraries or frameworks, you're comfortable diving into and learning new ones as needed. You're eager to share your opinions and ideas to help us continuously improve our processes and workflows. You're a quick learner and willing to embrace new technologies and approaches as we evolve.
What you’ll own
This is a role with real responsibility and autonomy. You’ll own outcomes, make decisions and help shape how we work as we scale, in an environment that values respect, directness and good intent. What is required:
