About Manifest Global
Manifest Global is building the infrastructure for global human capital mobility - connecting students, schools, universities, and employers across 50+ countries. Our portfolio spans Cialfo (AI-powered college counseling, 2,000+ schools), BridgeU (university guidance for international schools globally), Kaaiser (trusted study abroad counseling across India and Southeast Asia), and Explore (AI-powered university outreach, 1,000+ university partners). Together, we move talent across borders at scale. $80M raised. Still early.
Most frontend roles ask you to ship features. This one asks you to ship features and build the system that lets QEs, PMs, and designers ship them too - safely, independently, with AI as the connective tissue. The Manifest engineering team already runs on AI-assisted workflows. The infrastructure exists in pieces. You'll complete it, maintain it, and raise the ceiling on what each function can do without engineering in the loop. AI is not the tool you use on the side. It is the medium you work in, and the capability you extend to everyone around you.
If you're early in your career and the most interesting question you have right now is "how do I build leverage for a team, not just output for myself?" - keep reading.
You own the frontend - not just the code you write, but the system that lets everyone around you contribute to it. That means building features, and it means building the workflows, conventions, and guardrails that let QEs test independently, PMs contribute safely, and designers move from design to something real without waiting in a queue.
The measure of success here is not your personal output. It is how much the team around you can do because of what you built.
Concretely, that looks like:
30 days. You've mapped the frontend architecture and the current cross-functional AI workflows. You know where the codebase is strong, where debt sits, and where QEs, PMs, and designers are getting stuck or falling back on engineering. You have a point of view on what to fix first.
90 days. The skills library has grown. QEs are generating test scaffolds from specs without filing requests to engineering. PMs are making frontend contributions inside defined safe zones with confidence. Designers have a clearer path from Figma to something testable. AI tooling output across the team is more consistent because of conventions you put in place.
6 months. Cross-functional AI workflows are a genuine productivity multiplier - not a set of experiments. Feature cycles are shorter because more of the team can move through more of the process independently. The frontend itself is faster, more reliable, and better structured. Saige and Explore's AI surfaces feel like first-class product experiences, not features the frontend barely holds together. The engineers, QEs, PMs, and designers working in this system are glad you built it the way you did.

Why Manifest
We're building the infrastructure for global human capital mobility - the rails that move students, schools, universities, and employers across 50+ countries. Cialfo is in 2,000+ schools. Explore is trusted by 1,000+ universities. BridgeU runs across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. Kaaiser has guided students across India and Southeast Asia since 1997.
The opportunity is real. $700B flows annually in remittances from migrant workers. 85M workers will be missing from developed economies by 2030. We're building the operating system that changes that.
$80M raised from Tiger Global, SIG, and Square Peg. Still early.
The team has already built the infrastructure for AI-native engineering - shared conventions, a live skills library, AI-assisted workflows across engineering, QE, product, and design. Saige is in production. Explore's AI capabilities are in production. This isn't an aspiration we're hiring you to bring to life. It's an operating system we're hiring you to extend, scale, and make permanent.

About This Role
Most backend roles ask you to ship endpoints and migrations. This one asks you to ship those and extend the platform that lets the rest of the engineering team - and the AI agents working alongside them - ship them too. That platform already exists. Shared conventions, the skills library, safe contribution zones, spec-to-endpoint workflows, AI-agent infrastructure powering Saige and Explore - all live, all in production, all being used today. You'll own its next chapter: deepening it, scaling it, and raising the ceiling on what each engineer can do without re-deriving the same patterns.
If the most interesting question in your career right now is "how do I build leverage for a team, not just output for myself?" - keep reading.
What will you own
You own the backend - not just the code you write, but the system that lets everyone around you contribute to it. That means shipping production Rails services, designing APIs other teams build against, and owning the data layer end to end. And it means extending the workflows, conventions, and guardrails that let QEs generate test scaffolds independently, PMs and analysts ship config and feature-flag changes safely, and AI agents operate inside the codebase reliably.
The measure of success here is not your personal output. It is how much the team around you can do because of what you built.

Together, we move talent across borders at scale. $80M raised. Still early.
Manifest Global operates four brands across 50+ countries, generating data across thousands of schools, hundreds of thousands of students, and 1,000+ university partners. Counselor behaviour, student application journeys, university conversion rates, placement outcomes, attribution revenue - it's all there. The data exists. The question is whether the infrastructure around it is good enough to make it useful.
Right now, the data platform works. Pipelines run, the warehouse holds data, the BI layer surfaces reports. But Manifest is growing - new brands, new markets, new activation use cases - and the infrastructure needs to scale with it. There are pipelines that need to be more reliable. Transformation logic that needs to be cleaner. Warehouse design that needs to handle more volume without degrading performance. And an activation layer - reverse ETL, operational analytics, data flowing into the tools the business actually uses - that is still being built.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will own significant parts of the data platform end to end - ingestion, transformation, warehouse, activation - and you will be one of the people who determines whether Manifest's data infrastructure is a genuine competitive advantage or a persistent constraint. You will work closely with Principal Engineers, Product, and business stakeholders across all four brands, and you will be expected to operate with the ownership and judgment of someone who has built production-grade data systems before.
What makes this role different: Manifest has real data - cross-brand, multi-geography, commercially significant data. The stack is modern: Snowflake, dbt, Hevo, Airtable, Metabase. The problems are real. And when the data infrastructure surfaces the right insight, it changes a decision that affects real students and real institutions.
AI is central to how we build: This isn't just a data engineering role - it is a role where you will actively design and build AI infrastructure that accelerates the team's own development velocity. We use Snowflake Cortex AI with Claude in our daily engineering workflow - for debugging, RCA, query optimisation, and pipeline analysis. We have already cut root cause analysis time. The next step is embedding AI deeper: automated ticket handling, intelligent monitoring, and AI-assisted development tooling that lets the team move faster without sacrificing reliability.
SNOWFLAKE_TO_AIRTABLE_TABLELIST sync config, upsert logic, incremental filters, and sync cost optimisation. Airtable is both a key data source and a reporting destination across brandsYou'll start by building a complete picture of the current state - which pipelines are fragile, where data quality is inconsistent, what the highest-impact improvements look like, and where activation use cases aren't yet built. You will have a point of view on where to move first.
From there, the infrastructure will be measurably more reliable. Pipelines that were breaking will run consistently. Data quality issues will be caught early or prevented entirely. The BI layer will be getting used - not just maintained.
Over time, the data platform will be something the business genuinely relies on - fast enough to support the pace of growth, reliable enough that data consumers trust what they are looking at, and built in a way that the next engineer who joins can understand and extend without starting from scratch.

Because the team is small, you'll have meaningful influence on implementation details, team practices, and the product experience.
This role is part of GitLab's all-remote, async-first, values-driven environment, where clear written communication and thoughtful coordination across time zones are essential.
The SSCS Add-On team is part of GitLab's Software Supply Chain Security stage and is focused on building a commercial offering that addresses real supply chain security challenges for enterprise customers. The team works on capabilities that combine multiple parts of the GitLab product into a more complete security solution for organizations with strong compliance and risk management needs.
The work is both technically interesting and strategically important. The team is building in a space shaped by fast-moving threats, evolving customer requirements, and close coordination with nearby teams across the broader security area. That combination creates an environment where engineers can contribute to product direction while solving practical backend challenges in a visible part of GitLab's platform. For more on how related teams work, see Team Handbook Page.
Please note that we welcome interest from candidates with varying levels of experience; many successful candidates do not meet every single requirement. Additionally, studies have shown that people from underrepresented groups are less likely to apply to a job unless they meet every single qualification. If you're excited about this role, please apply and allow our recruiters to assess your application.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, AI Governance at GitLab, you will help build the backend systems behind a paid product for regulated enterprise organizations that need clear visibility, policy controls, and compliance evidence for AI use inside the software development lifecycle. This role sits at the intersection of AI, governance, and enterprise backend engineering, where your work will help customers adopt AI agents with more confidence.
You will contribute across the AI Governance product surface rather than focus on a single narrow area. That includes backend work for audit event ingestion and export, role-based access control, governance features for the Model Context Protocol (MCP) registry, and storage systems for AI agent artifacts. You will work on technical problems with meaningful scope and complexity, partnering closely with the team on architecture and implementation in an async-first environment.
This is a good fit for someone who enjoys building reliable systems for enterprise use cases, designing for scale, and working in a space where product requirements are shaped by emerging AI regulations and customer governance needs. Your work will directly support organizations that need to manage AI usage with the same rigor they apply to security, compliance, and software delivery.
You'll join the AI Governance team within GitLab's Secure, Scale, and Compliance area. We focus on helping organizations gain visibility into and govern AI usage inside GitLab. Our work spans two broad problem spaces: visibility, such as audit events, usage tracking, and observability, and policy controls, such as controls that help protect projects and meet compliance requirements.
We are building this team alongside a parallel AI Governance team, with both groups contributing to different parts of a fast-changing roadmap. You'll work with a distributed group of engineers and collaborate with adjacent AI and Continuous Delivery teams as we integrate governance capabilities more deeply into the platform. It's an interesting team for engineers who want to work on emerging product challenges at the intersection of AI, compliance, and large-scale enterprise software.
As a Senior Backend Engineer at GitLab, you will help build the core capabilities of our dedicated software supply chain security Add-On. This commercial offering helps organizations control what software enters their builds, verify the integrity of what they ship, and identify malicious packages before they reach production. You will work across a set of connected backend systems that support package policy enforcement, artifact signing and verification, provenance attestation, and malicious package intelligence.
This is a founding role on a small team with a high level of responsibility. The engineering choices you make in API design, testing, performance, and security will help shape how this product grows. You will work closely with a Staff Backend Engineer on architecture and partner with other engineers to deliver secure, reliable features for enterprise customers with complex supply chain security needs. An overview of this role:
As a Staff Backend Engineer on the GitLab Knowledge Graph team, you'll help design, scale, and operate a high‑impact graph data service that underpins agents, analytics, and architecture‑level features across GitLab.com, Dedicated, and Self‑Managed deployments. You'll partner with a small, senior Rust‑first team to ship reliable graph capabilities and make them easy for other teams and agents to use.
The Knowledge Graph service is a distributed SDLC indexing system. It builds a property graph from GitLab SDLC (software development lifecycle) and code data using ClickHouse, NATS JetStream, and the Data Insights Platform. It also exposes secure graph queries and MCP tools for AI agents and product features. In this role, you’ll own core parts of the system end to end: shaping the architecture, hardening multi‑tenant behavior and performance, and making it straightforward for other teams and agents to consume graph capabilities.
In your first year, you’ll take clear ownership of major areas of the service (for example, the graph query engine, SDLC indexing, or multi‑tenant authorization), reduce single points of failure through better runbooks and shared context, and raise the bar on how we design, build, and operate analytical services across the stack.
What you’ll do
What you’ll bring
The Knowledge Graph team sits within the data engineering organization and builds the backend service that turns GitLab's SDLC and code data into a unified property graph. We expose it through a high-performance, ClickHouse-backed query engine and MCP tools. We're a small group of senior engineers working closely with partners across AI (Duo Agent Platform), analytics, infrastructure, delivery, and security because our work touches many layers of the platform. We work asynchronously and value strong ownership: each engineer is expected to build a deep understanding of the system and help evolve it over time. As we grow adoption, we're focused on scaling the service sustainably and making it reliable and easy to operate for GitLab.com, Dedicated, and Self-Managed customers.
Please note that we welcome interest from candidates with varying levels of experience; many successful candidates do not meet every single requirement. Additionally, studies have shown that people from underrepresented groups are less likely to apply to a job unless they meet every single qualification. You'll work on foundational capabilities across package policy enforcement, build provenance, artifact signing, and malicious package detection, with a strong focus on enterprise-grade security and performance.
You'll define architecture before systems are built, write clear technical proposals, and guide implementation across interconnected parts of GitLab such as CI/CD, dependency management, and security workflows. This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys solving complex backend problems, influencing technical direction across teams, and building security features that matter to customers facing real threats. You'll do this in GitLab's remote, asynchronous, and values-driven environment, where written communication, ownership, and teamwork are central to how we work.
Some examples of our projects:
Country Hiring Guidelines: GitLab hires new team members in countries around the world. All of our roles are remote, however some roles may carry specific location-based eligibility requirements. Our Talent Acquisition team can help answer any questions about location after starting the recruiting process.

As a Staff Backend Engineer - AI Governance at GitLab, you'll help define the technical foundation for how GitLab Duo agents are governed at enterprise scale. This role sits where AI systems, compliance, auditability, and backend architecture meet. You'll shape core systems that give customers clear visibility into AI agent activity and the controls they need to manage usage with clarity.
You'll work on backend architecture that enables auditable AI actions, policy-based governance, and enterprise reporting across the GitLab platform. This includes designing systems for AI audit events, policy enforcement, tool governance, and integrations that help organizations analyze and control how AI agents interact with code, pipelines, secrets, and other sensitive resources.
This is a high-impact role for someone ready to set technical direction early, write and review strong design proposals, and influence multiple teams. You'll partner closely with engineering teams working on GitLab Duo and adjacent platform areas to make sure governance capabilities are built into the product in a scalable and consistent way. Your work will help customers in regulated and security-conscious environments adopt AI features with greater trust and operational clarity.
For more on how related teams work, see Team Handbook Page.

An overview of this role
As an Intermediate Backend Engineer on the GitLab Knowledge Graph team, you'll help build and operate a graph data service that supports GitLab Duo agents, analytics, and architecture-level features across GitLab.com, Dedicated, and Self-Managed deployments. You’ll join a small, Rust-first team that values clear ownership, thoughtful system design, and rigorous thinking about data and reliability.
The Knowledge Graph service is a Rust backend that builds a property graph from GitLab’s software development lifecycle (SDLC) and code data. It uses ClickHouse, NATS JetStream, and the Data Insights Platform. It exposes secure graph queries and MCP tools used by AI agents and product features. In this role, you’ll deliver features and improvements in well-scoped areas, learn the broader architecture, and contribute to reliability, observability, and operational readiness.
In your first year, you’ll take clear ownership of specific components or features (for example, parts of the SDLC indexing pipeline or query paths). You’ll help reduce single points of failure with better tests and runbooks, and you’ll help the team ship analytical services that are easier to maintain and evolve over time.
What you’ll do
What you’ll bring
About the team
We sit within the Data Engineering organization. We're a small group of senior engineers and we work closely with partners across AI (Duo Agent Platform), analytics, infrastructure and delivery, and security because our work spans many parts of the platform.
We collaborate asynchronously and optimize for strong ownership rather than a feature factory model. We each build a meaningful understanding of the system and help evolve it over time. A key challenge for us right now is scaling sustainably. That includes hardening multi-tenant behavior, maturing observability and readiness, and keeping the system healthy and maintainable as usage grows and team members take time off. At the same time, we're bringing Knowledge Graph to general availability (GA).

As Engineering Manager for GitLab CD, you'll build and lead a brand-new, globally distributed team at the forefront of GitLab's next generation of Continuous Deployment capabilities. This is a greenfield opportunity: you'll hire foundational engineers, shape the team's culture and ways of working, and own delivery of a first-class CD product within GitLab's DevSecOps platform.
Your team will build a CD engine that goes beyond script execution—bringing true reconciliation, live state awareness, durable orchestration, and AI-native governance to GitLab's platform. The goal is to deliver features that enable customers to deploy software reliably, safely, and with confidence. This work sits at the intersection of GitLab's core platform and its AI strategy, making it a high-visibility, fast-moving area of the product.
You'll partner closely with Product Management, cross-functional engineering teams, and infrastructure stakeholders to align technical decisions with customer needs and business goals, while building a team culture grounded in GitLab's values.
The GitLab CD team is a newly formed group within the Deploy stage. The team will be primarily Go engineers, with Ruby on Rails and frontend engineers joining as the product matures. As CD Engineering Manager you will work closely with adjacent teams across Verify, Runner, and Infrastructure, building in a collaborative, async-first environment where engineers take real ownership of outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape something new within an established company operating at significant scale.
Please note that we welcome interest from candidates with varying levels of experience; many successful candidates do not meet every single requirement. Additionally, studies have shown that people from underrepresented groups are less likely to apply to a job unless they meet every single qualification. OpenFX is on a mission to move money as freely as data, unrestricted by time zones, banking hours, or legacy systems. We are building the infrastructure that will power the next generation of cross-border payment systems for institutions. Our early team includes operators from J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, FalconX, PayPal, Affirm, Polygon, Kraken, Nium and more. We’re backed by Accel, Lightspeed, NFX, and other top-tier investors.
The Problem You’ll Solve
OpenFX can already move money cross-border. But without a world-class collections (Pay-In) layer, we’re missing the front door of the funds flow. Building this unlocks a new category of clients (global platforms, marketplaces, remitters, enterprises) and makes OpenFX materially stickier: once customers collect through us, their entire flow runs on our rails.
Most global businesses still collect money like it’s 2008: opening local bank accounts country-by-country, reconciling fragmented bank statements, and wiring funds back to HQ with delays, hidden fees, and constant operational breakage. If you have hundreds of thousands of customers across countries, “collections” becomes a full-time organisation, just to get paid and understand who paid you.
You'll build the product that fixes this. By owning Pay-Ins end-to-end, from local fiat rails and virtual accounts to fiat→stablecoin routing, to reconciliation that finance teams can close books with, you'll unlock a new category of customers (global platforms, marketplaces, remitters, enterprises) and make OpenFX the default operating system for their global treasury.
What you’ll own
You'll be the directly responsible individual for the Pay-Ins charter, from strategy through execution. Ownership isn't about shipping features, it's about delivering outcomes. This means:
Launch Pay-In v1 across priority rails
Smart Order Routing automation
Payment tracking + reconciliation that scales globally
What success looks like
12 months in, you’ll know you’re succeeding if:
Your first 90 days (what you’ll do)
Month 1: Discover and choose the wedge
Month 2: Align & Plan
Month 3-6: Build & Execute
Requirements
Non-negotiable
Preferred (helps you ramp faster)
Not required
Why This Opportunity Is Rare
If you want to build the collections layer that makes global money movement actually work, at scale, apply.

The Problem and the Role
OpenFX is on a mission to move money as freely as data, unrestricted by time zones, banking hours, or legacy systems. We are building the infrastructure that will power the next generation of cross-border payment systems for institutions.
We are seeking an exceptional Head of Design to lead our design organization during a critical phase of product maturity and scale. You will own the end-to-end design vision for our platform, creating intuitive interfaces that make complex financial operations feel simple for our institutional partners.
This is a foundational role where you will lead the design strategy for our core suite of products across multiple currencies and blockchain networks. Your work will directly impact how banks, payment providers, and fintech companies manage billions in transaction volume. You will establish design operations that can support our 10x growth trajectory, building systems that enable rapid iteration without sacrificing quality or consistency.
What You'll Actually Do & Own
Audit and Rebuild:
In your first six months, you will conduct a comprehensive audit of our current design system and user experience, identifying critical gaps where design debt is creating operational friction or limiting our ability to scale. You will establish the foundation for a world-class design organization.
Design Financial Tooling:
You will work closely with our product and engineering teams to improve our trading and treasury management interfaces, bringing sophisticated financial operations tooling to life through clean, purposeful design. This means understanding the nuances of how traders monitor liquidity across multiple venues, how treasury teams manage capital allocation decisions, and how operations teams need to track and reconcile thousands of transactions daily.
Build the Design System:
You will create a scalable design system that supports multiple product lines, define our approach to user research with institutional clients, and ensure that accessibility and usability standards are embedded in everything we ship. You will establish design operations that enable rapid iteration without sacrificing quality or consistency.
Build and Mentor the Team:
You will build and mentor a design team as we scale, establishing the culture, processes, and standards that will define design excellence at OpenFX. As a founding design leader, you will define the hiring standards, the voice, and the culture of the design organization.
Shape Design Strategy:
You will partner effectively with product managers and engineers to make smart tradeoffs under constraints. You will articulate design rationale that connects user needs to business outcomes, and you will be comfortable making decisions with imperfect information while moving quickly. Your design decisions will fundamentally shape our product trajectory and competitive positioning.
What Success Looks Like
Platform Transformation:
In your first year, you will have transformed our platform's usability, making previously manual or error-prone operations intuitive and reliable. Our financial institution partners will describe our tools as best-in-class compared to competitors.
Design System Velocity:
Your design system will enable our engineering team to ship new features faster while maintaining visual and interaction consistency across the platform.
Organizational Foundation:
You will have built the foundation for a world-class design organization that can scale with our ambitious growth plans, establishing the culture, processes, and standards that will define design excellence at OpenFX.
Requirements
8+ Years in Design with Financial Systems Leadership:
You have 8+ years of design experience with at least 3 years leading design for trading systems, market-making platforms, treasury management tools, or institutional financial software. You have designed interfaces where millions of dollars move based on user actions, and you understand the unique requirements of building for high-stakes financial decision-making.
Trading UI/UX Expertise:
You have deep, hands-on experience with trading UI/UX patterns—order books, position management, P&L visualization, risk dashboards, and real-time data displays. You have wrestled with the challenge of presenting dense financial information clearly without overwhelming users, and you know how to design for both novice operators and expert power users within the same platform.
Banking and Payments Product Knowledge:
You bring substantial knowledge of banking and payments products, understanding how financial institutions think about onboarding flows, KYC/compliance interfaces, reconciliation tools, reporting systems, and operational workflows. You have designed for regulated environments and appreciate the balance between innovation and institutional requirements.
Systems Thinking:
You are a systems thinker who can architect comprehensive design frameworks while also obsessing over pixel-perfect details. You know when to standardize components and when custom solutions are warranted. You understand how design decisions at the component level cascade into product-wide implications.
Collaborative and Pragmatic:
You are collaborative and pragmatic, knowing how to partner effectively with product managers and engineers to make smart tradeoffs under constraints. You can articulate design rationale that connects user needs to business outcomes, and you are comfortable making decisions with imperfect information while moving quickly.
Portfolio Evidence:
You can point to a portfolio demonstrating your experience with financial services design, particularly trading systems or institutional platforms. Your portfolio shows both strategic vision and execution excellence.
Preferred
Digital Asset Fluency:
You are fluent in both fiat and digital asset contexts. Whether it's traditional FX trading, payment processing, or blockchain-based settlement, you understand the fundamental operations and can translate complex technical concepts into elegant user experiences. Experience with stablecoins, DeFi protocols, or crypto trading platforms is a significant advantage.
Design System Architecture:
Experience building design systems from scratch for complex B2B platforms, including component libraries, design tokens, and documentation systems that enable non-designers to build consistent interfaces.
User Research in Institutional Contexts:
Experience conducting user research with institutional clients—understanding how to extract insights from busy financial professionals and translate them into actionable design improvements.
Why This Role?
Design Leadership:
You will be joining at an inflection point where design can fundamentally shape our product trajectory and competitive positioning. As we scale, you will define the hiring standards, the voice, and the culture of the design organization.
The Frontier of Fintech:
You will work on technically sophisticated problems at the frontier of fintech innovation, helping to build the infrastructure that powers the next generation of global money movement. You will learn the inner workings of global finance (FX liquidity, settlement, treasury), but you will apply them to the new payment stack as well as legacy rails of the past.
Direct User Access:
You will have direct access to institutional users—banks, payment providers, and fintech companies managing billions in transaction volume. You will see the immediate impact of your design decisions on real financial operations.
The Team:
You are joining a team of ex-Stripe, J.P. Morgan, and PayPal product managers and engineers. We are backed by Accel and Lightspeed, and we value design as a core part of the product. We are scaling our infrastructure to meet exponential demand while building the future of money movement.
To apply: Please submit your portfolio demonstrating your experience with financial services design, particularly trading systems or institutional platforms, along with your resume.

As part of the core engineering team, you will design, build and own products that our users love and use on a daily basis. You will do this using Clojure(script), a functional programming language that truly makes developing software a joyful experience.
We are looking for engineers who have a strong customer centric mindset and a deep sense of ownership of the product. We like engineers who have a strong attention to detail and like to constantly learn new technologies, systems & thought processes. Not only will you be responsible for building a great product, but also a great company that is thought through from first principles. You will enjoy working with us if you like to put your engineering hat on, challenge everything and solve hard problems.
We are a small team of passionate engineers that are focused on developing great software for our users. We move fast and have strong internal and external feedback loops that we act on and improve ourselves. We deliberately chose Clojure(script) as our language of choice as it helps us ship great bug free products and be very productive, at the same time. We try to be system thinkers with strong first principles based reasoning. We strongly believe that trust and autonomy is necessary to come up with the best products and customer experience. In summary, we want to do our best to help our users be more productive and do our part in helping make the world a better place.

Lookout, Inc. is a globally recognized cybersecurity leader delivering advanced protection for the most vulnerable element of any enterprise security strategy — human error and manipulation. Cloud-native by design, the Lookout platform offers rapid, scalable deployment and simplified security operations, defending the frontline of human-centric attacks—the mobile device. Attackers now target the human element more than ever, with mobile devices providing the most direct path to their victims. Using social engineering techniques that exploit basic human instincts like trust, curiosity, and urgency, they deceive users into revealing sensitive credentials, allowing them to slip past legacy security solutions.
Lookout Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) continuously monitors mobile endpoints for signs of human-centric attacks, as well as traditional malware, software vulnerabilities, and other anomalous activity. It uses advanced threat detection techniques, including artificial intelligence (AI) and behavioral analysis, to identify threats before they escalate across the enterprise. Lookout’s backend system supports a massive volume of data and an increasingly high level of demand, from data ingestion to delivery to dynamic analysis. We’re looking for talented and motivated engineers to build core components and services, as well as to contribute to evolving the architecture. We’re a small team working on a very large, modern system with a user base of millions, so you’ll get to work on a cutting-edge product and service on a large scale. We’re responsible for building and maintaining several of the services powering the various Lookout applications. We build services in Ruby & Scala, are hosted on AWS and firmly believe in using the cloud to our advantage.
