As IT Workplace Operations Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring a seamless, secure, and scalable IT experience across our global hybrid workforce. As a Platform Engineer - Support, you will provide first level response within Interactive Brokers (IB) on any information technology related issues regarding the Microsoft Windows platform. The Role

The Senior Software Engineer - Browser Extensions will own the architecture and implementation of Securly's onboard filtering engine — building a local policy cache and real-time filtering decision engine inside the Chrome extension that moves filtering decisions on-device, improving speed, reliability, and bypass resistance for millions of students on Chromebooks.

You will design and build the system that eliminates the cloud round-trip for 80% of filtering decisions: a local policy cache with delta sync, a filtering decision engine running inside the MV3 service worker, and the bypass prevention layer that ensures the security model is not exploitable.

At L5, this role carries additional strategic weight. Google's Filter and Monitor platform shift is moving ChromeOS toward native Content Filtering APIs and away from browser extensions as the primary enforcement point. You will track this transition, evaluate its implications for Securly's extension strategy, and surface architectural recommendations — not just implement the current plan.

What You'll Do

The Senior SDET - Browser & Extension Testing will own test strategy, quality architecture, and the automated regression infrastructure for Securly's onboard filtering project — building the test systems that ensure a safety-critical Chrome extension works correctly for millions of students and keeps working through every browser update and policy change.

The onboard filtering project is a high-risk architecture change to a widely-deployed extension. A regression in allow/block decision logic, cache invalidation, or bypass prevention could expose students to inappropriate content or disrupt school operations. The test infrastructure you build is the last line of defense before production.

At L5, this is an engineering leadership role, not a QA role. You will define what 'production-ready' means for a safety-critical student product, enforce that standard through CI/CD quality gates, and contribute to extension development directly.

Your role will be to create and execute bring-up and characterisation plans of our silicon devices to show that they will operate correctly over all conditions in the final product. You will concentrate on automated and manual testing of systems in the lab and datacentre. The results will be integrated with data from other teams to provide the complete characterisation solution for the product. For example, a large amount of device testing can be performed by the production test team using high-speed production test equipment.

• Define standards and drive consistency in device provisioning, compliance, patching, and user onboarding/offboarding.
• Act as technical lead for workplace IT projects, mentoring team members and serving as the final escalation point for complex endpoint issues.

What Makes You a Great Fit ?

• Bring 5+ years of experience in workplace IT, MDM and Application administration, and SaaS tooling, with 2+ years in a technical leadership or lead engineer role.
• Have deep, hands-on expertise in Google Workspace, Intune, Jamf, and device management for both macOS and Windows.
• Understand and have experience implementing Zero Trust principles, including Device Trust, Network Trust, and conditional access.
• Are comfortable writing and maintaining PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripts, and using IaC frameworks to scale device and policy management.
• Have experience managing on corporate Wi-Fi/networking initiatives in modern office environments
• Work well cross-functionally, especially with Security, HR, and IT Operations, and have a strong service mindset.
• Thrive in fast-moving environments and enjoy creating reliable, scalable systems that improve user experience and IT efficiency.
