Senior Compliance Engineer – Energy Infrastructure Projects

We’re looking for a Senior Compliance Engineer with deep expertise in regulatory requirements, codes, and certification processes applicable to BESS, power electronics, and electrical distribution systems e.g. panelboards, switchboards, etc.. This is a product-focused and cross-functional role responsible for ensuring that our systems meet all applicable North American and international standards, as well as ISO/RTO interconnection and market requirements. You will serve as the internal authority on compliance, working closely with product, R&D, and project engineering teams to ensure designs are certifiable, deployable, and aligned with evolving regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead compliance strategy and execution for BESS, DC cabinets, inverters, and related power, controls /IT equipments.
- Interpret and apply standards such as UL, CSA, IEEE, IEC, and NFPA to product and project designs.
- Act as the subject matter expert on ISO/RTO regulatory requirements (e.g., interconnection, grid codes, testing protocols).
- Define and manage certification roadmaps for new and existing products.
- Coordinate and support product testing and certification activities, including UL listings, field evaluations, and special inspections.
- Develop and maintain with Technical Writer compliance documentation, including test plans, reports, and certification packages.
- Work directly with NRTLs and certification bodies to facilitate approvals and resolve technical issues.
- Support engineering teams by ensuring designs meet code and standard requirements from early development stages.
- Review and validate test procedures and results, including electrical, thermal, environmental, and safety testing.
- Support project teams during AHJ reviews, permitting, and commissioning, addressing compliance-related questions.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory changes and emerging standards, ensuring proactive alignment of products.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in compliance, certification, or regulatory engineering for BESS, power electronics, or industrial electrical systems.
- 4+ years experience with working knowledge of key standards, including:
- UL (e.g., UL 9540, UL 9540A, UL 1741, UL 508A)
- CSA standards for electrical equipment
- IEEE standards related to power systems and interconnection
- IEC standards for international compliance
- NFPA (e.g., NFPA 855)
- Deep understanding of test procedures and certification processes, including safety, thermal runaway, environmental, and performance testing.
- Familiarity with ISO/RTO requirements (e.g., ERCOT, PJM, CAISO, MISO) and grid interconnection standards.
- Experience working with NRTLs (e.g., UL, CSA, Intertek) and managing certification programs.
- Ability to interpret and apply codes, standards, and regulatory language into practical engineering requirements.
- Strong communication skills across engineering, regulatory authorities, and external certification bodies.
- Project Management skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with utility-scale and/or C&I BESS deployments.
- Direct involvement in UL 9540A fire testing, LSFT or similar safety validation programs.
- Knowledge of utility -scale inverter compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting permitting and AHJ engagement in the U.S.
- Background in quality systems or regulatory audits.

About You and The Role

Zipline is hiring a Communications Manager, Local & Launch Communications to serve as the primary communications lead for new market, store and site launches. This new role owns local and launch communications end-to-end — pre-launch through early and mature operations — and is the day-to-day point person for traditional media, new media, creators/influencers, and visual storytelling partners in new markets.
You will build trust and excitement in local communities, cultivate and shape Zipline’s reputation as we launch, and ensure every new deployment lands with clarity, credibility, and momentum. This role is ideal for a hands-on communications leader who thrives in fast-moving environments and knows how to turn complex operations into compelling local stories.
What You'll Do
- Own communications for in market site and store launches, serving as the main point of contact for all local and launch-related comms.
- Plan and execute integrated launch communications across traditional media, digital and new media, and visual storytelling.
- Build and manage strong relationships with local, regional, and national reporters, creators/influencers, and YouTubers.
- Lead story development, media outreach, interviews, and on-the-ground press moments tied to launches and milestones.
- Partner with videographers, photographers, and designers to capture and deploy high-quality visual content from launches and operations.
- Develop core messaging and media materials including press releases, talking points, FAQs, reactive statements, blog posts, and video briefs.
- Support launch events, media tours, and community moments with a strong PR and storytelling lens.
- Provide clear, confident communications counsel to cross-functional partners including Operations, Government Relations, Community, Marketing, and Design.
- Monitor and manage local issues or misinformation, escalating and responding quickly when needed.
- Plan and execute events, with a sharable/viral lens to them.
- Train and advise local team members on communications and messaging
- Serve as a Zipline spokesperson
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years of communications experience in-house, agency, media, or politics; launch and local market experience strongly preferred.
- Proven success working directly with traditional media and emerging media, including creators and digital platforms. Past work experience with creators, influencers and new media is a plus.
- Strong news/viral judgment, crisp writing skills, and the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Experience managing visual storytelling projects and working closely with videographers, managing on-site video crews or content teams.
- Excellent attention to detail, project management and writing skills, paired with exceptional judgment and a strong understanding of the media landscape and/or local markets.
- High ownership mindset, excellent project management skills, and comfort operating independently as the local comms lead.
- Curiosity, creativity, and a passion for storytelling along with the ability to sniff out potential newshooks and stories.
- Prior success collaborating cross-functionally with diverse, globally distributed teams.
- Desire and ability to travel for work (approximately 35%)

We are open to hiring this role out of the Dallas Fort-Worth or Houston region.
The starting cash range for this role is $105,000-130,000. Please note that this is a target, starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, working location, and projected impact. The total compensation package for this role may also include: equity compensation; discretionary annual or performance bonuses; sales incentives; benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance; paid time off; and more.

The Director of Renewals and Customer Success Operations is responsible for leading and guiding key operational activities across the Renewals and Customer Success teams, including annual planning, forecasting, business process optimization, and executive reporting and analytics. The Opportunity
We are looking for a Marketing Director who will own Forthea’s marketing strategy and pipeline generation engine. In short, you are responsible for generating a significant portion of the qualified opportunities that fuel the agency’s growth.
You will build and execute multi-channel marketing programs across events, email, social media, content, and outbound that generate Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) for larger-deal opportunities in our key verticals: multifamily, multi-location, and B2B. You will position Forthea as a category leader in performance marketing for these verticals and ensure our brand, thought leadership, and market presence create a consistent competitive advantage.
This role works closely with our sales leadership and service delivery teams. The ideal candidate has proven experience marketing and growing a professional services firm or digital agency from a similar size and stage.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, you will be measured on your ability to deliver outcomes that directly impact revenue growth:
- Pipeline Generation: Consistently deliver a growing volume of MQLs and SQLs that convert into qualified opportunities in our target verticals. Marketing-sourced pipeline should be a measurable, reliable contributor to new business revenue.
- Market Positioning & Brand Authority: Establish Forthea as the go-to performance marketing agency for multifamily, multi-location, and B2B brands. Our ICP should know who we are and what we stand for before our sales team ever reaches out.
- Event-Driven Pipeline: Build an event strategy—hosted executive events, conference presence, speaking engagements, and webinars—that puts Forthea in rooms with decision-makers and consistently generates qualified leads.
- Thought Leadership & Content Engine: Develop a content program that positions Forthea’s leadership as experts in performance marketing. This includes original writing, case studies, industry POVs, and vertical-specific insights that build trust and drive inbound interest.
- Funnel Efficiency & Optimization: Own the marketing funnel end-to-end. Track, analyze, and optimize conversion rates from lead to MQL to SQL to opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Generation & Pipeline Growth
- Own the strategy and execution of demand generation programs designed to drive MQLs and SQLs for larger-deal opportunities ($15K–40K+ MRR) in multifamily, multi-location, and B2B verticals
- Build and execute multi-channel campaigns across email, events, social media, outbound, and website; develop ABM programs for high-value target accounts in coordination with sales
- Own marketing automation and CRM execution within HubSpot, including lead scoring, segmentation, nurture sequences, and attribution reporting; track and optimize marketing-sourced pipeline and revenue contribution
Market Positioning & Brand
- Develop and execute a positioning strategy that differentiates Forthea in its key verticals and establishes category authority in performance marketing
- Own Forthea’s brand narrative, messaging framework, and value proposition; monitor competitive landscape and translate insights into positioning adjustments
Strategic Partnerships & Alliances
- Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with complementary service providers, technology vendors, and industry organizations that expand Forthea’s reach and generate referral pipeline
- Build co-marketing programs with partners—joint webinars, co-authored content, shared events—and cultivate relationships with vertical-specific industry associations
- Track partnership-sourced pipeline and ROI to prioritize the highest-value relationships
Events & Executive Engagement
- Plan and execute a strategic event calendar including hosted executive events, industry conferences, speaking engagements, and webinars; manage promotion, audience targeting, and registration workflows
- Own event follow-up and lead conversion processes; evaluate ROI and optimize the portfolio based on lead quality and pipeline contribution
- Represent Forthea at industry events and build relationships with prospects, partners, and industry leaders
Content & Thought Leadership
- Personally write and produce high-quality thought leadership content including articles, case studies, industry POVs, email campaigns, and presentations
- Translate internal expertise into vertical-specific, market-facing content that drives inbound interest and builds credibility with enterprise buyers
- Manage content distribution across email, social media, and digital channels to maximize reach and lead generation
Social Media & Digital Presence
- Own Forthea’s social media strategy across LinkedIn and other relevant platforms, with a focus on thought leadership, brand visibility, and lead generation
- Develop social selling enablement content that supports the sales team’s outbound efforts; track performance and optimize based on engagement and pipeline contribution
RFP & Sales Enablement
- Lead the development of RFP responses that are compelling, strategically differentiated, and tailored to the prospect’s vertical and business challenges
- Build and maintain a library of proposal content, case studies, competitive positioning materials, and reusable components that accelerate response time
- Develop sales enablement materials—pitch decks, one-pagers, battlecards—and ensure marketing content is aligned with active sales opportunities

Proven Agency Marketer: You have direct experience marketing a professional services firm or digital agency and have contributed to meaningful revenue growth. You understand the unique dynamics of selling expertise—long sales cycles, relationship-driven buying, and the importance of credibility and positioning.

Qualifications
Required
- 10–15+ years of marketing experience, with significant focus on demand generation and pipeline growth in a B2B or professional services environment
- Direct experience marketing a digital agency, marketing agency, or professional services firm—ideally from a similar size and growth stage
- Proven track record of generating MQLs and SQLs that convert into qualified pipeline and closed revenue
- Hands-on expertise with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot strongly preferred), CRM systems, and outbound tools (e.g., Seamless, Apollo)
- Strong experience planning and executing events—hosted, conferences, and virtual—that produce measurable pipeline results
- Excellent writing skills with demonstrated ability to produce thought leadership, case studies, and campaign content
- Experience developing RFP responses and sales enablement materials for a professional services or agency environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to build reporting, interpret performance data, and optimize programs based on results
Preferred
- Experience marketing within or to multifamily, multi-location, or real estate verticals
- Familiarity with performance marketing services (PPC, SEO, analytics) and the ability to translate technical capabilities into compelling market messaging
