Job Title: Journeyman Carpenter
Location: Oahu, HI
Department: Concrete
Reports to: Foreman
Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Hourly Compensation: $40-$50- commensurate with experience
This isn’t a “show up and swing a hammer” kind of role.
This is where precision meets pride. Where layouts aren’t guesses — they’re exact. Where your work becomes the literal foundation everything else depends on.
At Alpha Inc., our Journeyman Carpenters don’t just build forms — they build the backbone of Hawaiʻi’s infrastructure. If you take ownership of your craft, move with purpose, and refuse to cut corners, keep reading.
Born and built in Hawaiʻi, Alpha Inc. is a leader in heavy civil construction, concrete, renewable energy, drilling, and infrastructure solutions. What we build today will serve island communities for generations.
We operate by three core values:
Lead with Heart – Respect the crew. Respect the craft.
Strength in Unity – No egos. Just execution.
Alpha Mentality – Own it. Improve it. Deliver it.
If that sounds like how you already work — you’ll fit right in.
You are the difference between “good enough” and “dead-on.”
You’ll take plans and turn them into reality — clean, square, level, and built to spec the first time.
This role demands accuracy, awareness, and accountability — every single day.
You’re not entry-level. You’ve been in the field, you know the pace, and you understand what’s at stake when things aren’t done right.
Experience & Skillset:
Mindset:
Because here, your work actually matters.
You’ll be part of projects that shape Hawaiʻi’s future — not just another jobsite. You’ll work with crews that push each other to be better. And you’ll be part of a company that backs its people, not just its projects.
Alpha Inc. offers a competitive benefits package designed to support you and your family, including:
• 100% company-paid Medical/Dental/Vision (family coverage)
• Paid Time Off (PTO) (vacation, personal, and sick time) that increases with tenure
• Paid holidays
• Weekly pay
• 401(k) Retirement Plan: Eligible after 1 month of service (age 18+), with a Safe Harbor match (100% on the first 3%, 50% on the next 2%) with immediate vesting.
• Life & AD&D insurance (company-paid, with family coverage)
• Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
• Employee Assistance Program (EAP) (24/7 confidential support)
• Tuition reimbursement (up to $500/year)
• Company-provided equipment (role dependent)
• Additional perks (Aflac supplemental coverage + employee discounts)
• Employee Ambassador Program: A dedicated, real-human support resource to help you navigate life’s challenges—personal or professional—by connecting you to guidance, resources, and solutions when you need them most.
Benefits eligibility may vary based on role and employment status.
Employment at Alpha Inc. is contingent upon:
• Completion of standard pre-employment screening.
• Successful completion of a background check conducted after a conditional offer; any prior issues will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis consistent with Hawaiʻi and federal law.
• Passing a drug test (for both full-time and part-time hires) conducted in line with Hawaiʻi statutory requirements.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; we are unable to sponsor employment visas. Employment eligibility will be verified upon hire.
If you need a reasonable accommodation during the application or hiring process, please contact us at careers@alphahawaii.com.
Alpha Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We do not discriminate based on any protected status under federal or Hawaiʻi law, and we provide equal opportunity in all employment practices, including recruitment, hiring, promotion, compensation, benefits, and training.
If your lines are straight, your standards are higher, and your work speaks for itself — it’s time to build something that lasts with Alpha.
