About the role

The Selection Analytics Team at Wolt owns the data and infrastructure that helps all 32 of our country teams build a portfolio of high-quality restaurant and retail stores. Our overarching mission is to provide customers with the best selection by enabling sales teams across all markets to acquire the best merchants.

To do this, we work directly with country sales teams to help them identify and prioritize the highest potential merchant candidates. We also work with Wolt leadership by providing metrics to track selection quality, upon which they develop strategic initiatives and goals. This is a lean and mighty team that owns and operates the engine for merchant acquisition globally.

What you'll be doing

As a senior member of the Selection Analytics team, your role involves leveling up our approach to identifying and prioritizing better merchants. You’ll achieve this by:

• Developing and deploying production-level ML models
• Crafting metrics to unlock deeper insights into merchant selection quality for all markets
• Conducting experiments to understand the impact of selection on specific markets
• Work on self-serve tooling to track these insights.

This is also a rare, high-exposure experience where you will then use your findings to work directly with country leadership to help them uncover growth opportunities. When you join this team, you will be driving action from the frontlines, rather than just crunching numbers and creating dashboards.

Our humble expectations

• 3-5 years of experience in data science, consulting, or a related quantitative role
• Fluent in Python & SQL
• Strong exploratory data analysis skills, willingness to look under the hood
• Exposure to experimental design (A/B testing) and key statistical methods
• Experience in feature engineering, model design, evaluation, diagnostics, and monitoring
• Knowledge of MLOps concepts and tools (e.g. MLflow, Flyte)
• Determination to initiate and lead/own strategic projects to completion with a cross-functional team
• Innate curiosity to understand how things work and a first-principles approach to problem solving

The Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical and business-minded Market Research Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the senior leader overseeing our product and monetization strategy, this role is critical in driving the strategic direction of our product pricing by translating complex market dynamics and customer sentiment into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, business acumen, and a background in technology or developer experiences.

This position involves designing and executing pricing surveys, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, and collaborating closely with the Product Delivery Organization to ensure our pricing strategy aligns with business goals and market value.

What You'll Do:

Research and Analysis

• Design, implement, and manage detailed product & pricing studies as well as customer & targeted user surveys.
• Extract value drivers and identify what targeted users truly care about based on their profiles and use cases.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to pricing, packaging, and monetization strategies (e.g., Van Westendorp, Gabor-Granger, conjoint analysis). 
• Synthesize research findings into clear, compelling, and data-backed recommendations for the Product and Leadership teams.

Collaboration and Insight Delivery

• Act as the primary subject matter expert on customer and developer willingness-to-pay dynamics.
• Partner with Product Managers to test new pricing models and tiers, particularly for products targeting a technical audience or developers.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders, translating complex analytical results into business implications.

Market Expertise

• Conduct competitive pricing analysis, monitoring competitor moves and market trends in the tech and developer tools space.
• Maintain a deep understanding of our target customer personas, specifically how developers evaluate and purchase technical products.

What We're Looking For:

Required Skills

• Proven analytical and quantitative skills, including expertise in statistical analysis and data visualization tools
• Strong business acumen with the ability to link research findings directly to strategic and financial outcomes
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders
• Proficiency in survey design software and statistical packages (e.g., Qualtrics, R, Python)

Education and Experience

• Relevant university degree and course transcript in Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related quantitative field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in market research, pricing strategy, or business intelligence, preferably within the technology sector
• Demonstrated experience in creating and running sophisticated pricing and customer satisfaction surveys

Preferred Background

• Prior experience in a B2B SaaS environment, particularly with products aimed at developers, engineers, or technical users
• Familiarity with the developer experience (DevEx) and the factors that drive developer adoption and monetization
• Technology enthusiast with strong interest and curiosity in the Agentic AI mechanisms and trends
