Role
We are looking for an AI Operations Engineer to join our team. This is a hybrid role based in our Zagreb office, reporting to Dominik Jurincic within the Red Teaming department. As an AI Operations Engineer, you will support the AI Red Team by operating and scaling the evaluation infrastructure that powers SPLX’s model benchmarks and MCP server registry. You’ll be the engineering force behind our continuous AI security testing workflows, ensuring our evaluation pipelines run reliably across a rapidly expanding ecosystem of LLMs and agentic tools.
What you’ll do (Role Expectations)
- Operate and extend our LLM benchmarking pipeline by integrating new models — whether through provider APIs or self-hosted deployments on virtualized infrastructure — and executing our security suite to populate and maintain the model benchmarks page
- Kick-off and maintain the SPLX MCP server registry by onboarding open-source MCP servers, provisioning their runtime dependencies, and running our dynamic code scanning and security testing against them
- Build and maintain reproducible deployment environments for evaluating third-party AI systems, ensuring consistent and reliable test conditions across diverse model and tooling configurations
- Partner with Red Team engineers and researchers to streamline evaluation workflows, automate recurring testing operations, and surface insights from benchmark and registry data
- Continuously improve the team’s internal tooling and operational processes, identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort and accelerate the cadence of model and MCP evaluations

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 1+ years of professional software engineering experience with Python, including the ability to ship reliable, production-quality code in a collaborative environment
- Working familiarity with the modern AI/ML ecosystem, including LLM provider APIs, model deployment patterns, and emerging protocols such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and deploying applications across cloud or virtualized infrastructure
- Solid working knowledge of REST APIs and modern integration patterns, including authentication, service orchestration, and debugging across distributed components
- Strong attention to detail and a track record of operating consistently in environments where reproducibility, rigor, and follow-through matter
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Prior exposure to LLM evaluation, AI security, or red teaming workflows in a research or applied setting

About the role
You'll join one of several teams building the low-level systems behind CAST AI's multi-cloud automation platform. The work sits at the intersection of Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and Linux.
Depending on your strengths, you'll work in one of these areas:
- Cluster and node lifecycle - custom node bootstrapping across AWS, GCP, and Azure. Controllers and operators managing full node lifecycle. Bridging the gap between autoscaler decisions and running VMs - including working around limitations of managed Kubernetes platforms like EKS, GKE, and AKS.
- Cross-cloud provisioning - orchestrating infrastructure across regions and clouds. Workflow orchestration, provisioning integrations, networking and identity across cloud boundaries.
- Live container migration - zero-downtime relocation of running containers using CRIU checkpoint/restore, custom CRI-O and runc forks, and forked cloud CNI plugins. Memory page transfer, TCP session migration, process-level checkpoint/restore. Kernel-level Linux engineering applied to Kubernetes.
- Storage optimization - dynamic volume rightsizing, BtrFS compression, custom CSI drivers. Full storage stack from cloud disk APIs through filesystem internals to Kubernetes PV/PVC lifecycle.
Common across all teams: Go, deep Kubernetes, multi-cloud, building beyond what the ecosystem offers.
How we build

Why Kimchi?
Kimchi is the AI platform inside CAST AI. We started by helping companies run LLMs on their own Kubernetes clusters - now we're building the execution layer where agents do real work.
Our Infrastructure today: multi-model inference (MiniMax, Kimi, GLM-5, Nemotron, DeepSeek) with intelligent routing, an OpenAI-compatible API, and deployment flexibility from our GPUs to your VPC. The inference layer is the foundation. What we're hiring for sits on top of it: coding agents, agent runtimes, orchestration systems, and the reliability engineering that makes them actually finish things.

Why harness engineering matters here
OpenAI and Anthropic ship models. They also ship one harness each - the scaffolding that turns a raw model into something that can plan, execute, recover, and complete work. We ship a different kind of harness: one built for cost-conscious, long-horizon autonomy, running on inference infrastructure we control end-to-end.
A decent model with a great harness beats a great model with a bad harness. We've watched this play out. The gap between what today's models can do and what you see them doing is largely a harness gap - and that gap is where we operate.
What you'll build
The ratchet.
Every time our agent makes a mistake, we engineer a solution so it never makes that mistake again. That means hooks that enforce constraints the model "knows" but forgets: pre-commit lint checks, permission gates, context compaction before the window fills. Success is silent, failures are verbose.
Long-horizon execution.
Our harness is built around spec-driven autonomy: meta-prompting, fresh context per task, worktree-per-slice git strategy, automatic replanning, crash recovery, stuck detection. We're implementing Ralph loops - when the model tries to exit, we intercept and reinject the goal into a fresh context. The agent reads state from disk and continues. Multi-session, multi-day work, without context rot.
Planner/executor splits.
Planning with a reasoning model, executing with a fast one, evaluating with a third. Separating generation from evaluation beats self-verification because agents reliably skew positive when grading their own work.
The harness surface.
CLI, TUI, MCP integration, sandboxed execution, telemetry. Our AGENTS.md is short - every line traces to a specific thing that went wrong. TypeScript on the surface, Go where it matters.
Memory and context.
Moving agents off laptops, giving them state that survives across sessions, managing context so information lands where it's actionable. Compaction, tool-call offloading, progressive skill disclosure.
What makes this different (with receipts)
You've seen the pitch: "we route to the best model." Everyone says that. Here's what we actually have:
- GPU infrastructure we own. Not just an API reseller. From GPU placement across clouds to the inference endpoint your agent calls - we control the cost curve.
- A harness-first thesis. We treat agent failures as configuration problems, not model problems. When we moved from a stock harness to our own, completion rates on internal benchmarks improved by 40%+ on the same model.
- Agents.md that earns every line. No brainstormed rules - every constraint in our system prompt traces to a real failure we saw and fixed.

- You've used AI coding agents in anger. Not demos - real work. You have opinions about Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Cursor. You know what it feels like when an agent gets stuck and why.

- Transaction Pipeline Ownership
- Develop, maintain and optimise internal services powering the gaming ecosystem.

- Lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or related UI frameworks), C#, XAML, and — when needed — C++.
- Define and enforce best-practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase: code architecture, performance, memory usage, responsive UI, cross-version compatibility (Windows 10/11+), and maintainability.
- Drive accessibility efforts: integrate and validate support for accessibility APIs (e.g. Microsoft UI Automation or other relevant Windows accessibility frameworks), ensure UI controls, focus management, keyboard navigation, screen-reader support, and usability for users with disabilities.
- Collaborate closely with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and other stakeholders to shape feature planning, UI/UX architecture, and long-term roadmap for the Windows platform.
- Take ownership of full lifecycle of features: conception → design → implementation → testing → release → maintenance. Ensure quality, reliability, and consistency across releases.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering issues, or compatibility problems — and propose robust architectural or design solutions.
Required:
- 3+ in Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or similar), C#, XAML — and ideally additional experience with native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM).
- Deep understanding of Windows application architecture, including interop between managed code (.NET) and native code.
- Proven track record of designing, building, and shipping production-quality desktop applications, with an emphasis on reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Strong experience with accessibility APIs on Windows (e.g. Microsoft UI Automation or similar), and a dedication to building accessible and inclusive software.
- Excellent software engineering fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multi-threading or asynchronous programming (where relevant).
- Experience leading technical design, mentoring other engineers, conducting code reviews, and making architecture-level decisions.
- Strong communication skills; ability to articulate tradeoffs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive consensus.

What You'll Be Doing
- You'll build and ship full-stack features end-to-end — from understanding the problem with Product, breaking down PRDs into well-scoped work, thinking through edge cases before code is written, all the way through to production monitoring and support.

Here’s what you’ll do:
- Build highly stable and reliable SDKs used by our clients all over the world

Overview
We're looking to hire for our Data side of our AI team at Speechify. This role is responsible for all aspects of data collection to support our model training operations. We are able to build high-quality datasets at petabyte-scale and low cost through a tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research work. We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join us.
What You’ll Do
- Be scrappy to find new sources of audio data and bring it into our ingestion pipeline
- Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for our ingestion pipeline, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform.
- Collaborate closely with our Scientists to shift the cost/throughput/quality frontier, delivering richer data at bigger scale and lower cost to power our next-generation models.

- Lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or related UI frameworks), C#, XAML, and — when needed — C++.
- Define and enforce best-practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase: code architecture, performance, memory usage, responsive UI, cross-version compatibility (Windows 10/11+), and maintainability.
- Drive accessibility efforts: integrate and validate support for accessibility APIs (e.g. Microsoft UI Automation or other relevant Windows accessibility frameworks), ensure UI controls, focus management, keyboard navigation, screen-reader support, and usability for users with disabilities.
- Collaborate closely with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and other stakeholders to shape feature planning, UI/UX architecture, and long-term roadmap for the Windows platform.
- Take ownership of full lifecycle of features: conception → design → implementation → testing → release → maintenance. Ensure quality, reliability, and consistency across releases.

Required:

- Proven track record of designing, building, and shipping production-quality desktop applications, with an emphasis on reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.

What you’ll be doing
- Design and implement robust, scalable AWS infrastructure — supporting key system migrations, platform growth, and the reliability our customers depend on.
- Own the reliability, performance, and security of our production environment: high uptime, rapid incident resolution, and proactive capacity planning.

What we’re looking for
You may be a great fit if you have:
- 5+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering role.
- Hands-on AWS experience across IAM, VPC, EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, KMS, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail — including multi-account management and SSO.
- Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code, plus experience with configuration management tools like Chef or Ansible.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling including GitHub, GitHub Actions, JFrog Artifactory, and Jenkins, with familiarity with GitOps methodologies.
- Strong working knowledge of enterprise monitoring platforms — Prometheus, Grafana, or DataDog.

THE ROLE
The Senior Application Security Engineer is a key member of Cognism’s Information Security Team, reporting into the Application & Infrastructure Security Manager. Your mission is to embed security by design across our engineering and product organization by integrating modern application security practices throughout the full development lifecycle. We focus on building secure, scalable, and resilient systems while enabling the business to innovate quickly and safely. It is to drive a culture where the fastest path for our engineers is the securest path.
You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Data teams to understand risks within our platform, including risks introduced by AI powered features, and ensure the right controls, guardrails, and security patterns are built into the product at its inception – all the while ensuring a balanced approach to the product experience that our thousands of large global enterprise customers use every day.
This role is ideal for a senior IC who is technical, collaborative, and pragmatic, with the ability to influence engineering teams while driving hands on improvements to Cognism’s secure SDLC.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Security by Design & Product Integration
- Partner with Product, Web and Data Engineering teams from the ideation stage to ensure security requirements are considered early in feature and model design.
- Translate product and application risks into actionable security controls, making recommendations repeatable to build guardrails and guidance that product, design, and engineering teams can apply as they scale and build the products in the teams they own.
- Help shape security acceptance criteria and guide engineering teams during design reviews and backlog planning.
Application Risk Assessment & AI Security
- Identify and assess application risks across Cognism’s SaaS platform, data processing pipelines, including emerging risks associated with AI/ML capabilities.
- Contribute to AI feature reviews and participate in AI risk assessments to ensure responsible and secure use of models, in a way that balances the need to innovate and challenge the status quo in AI implementation.
- Assess and pragmatically recommend mitigations for security risks in data pipelines, model-training workflows, feature stores, and ML systems, ensuring strong controls for data access, data lineage, model integrity, and protection of sensitive datasets.
Secure SDLC & DevSecOps Enablement
- Partner with our engineering and platform team to embed security guardrails into our software development lifecycle and agile engineering workflows.
- Partner with engineering teams to integrate and optimize security tooling into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, SCA, DAST, container scanning, IaC scanning).
- Drive automation and developer-friendly security processes that minimize friction and support rapid delivery.
Threat Modelling & Architecture Support
- Conduct and facilitate a self-serve, risk-driven approach to pragmatic threat modelling sessions for new features, services, and AI components.
- Conduct threat modelling for data architectures, including ingestion, transformation, storage, streaming, and ML model deployment patterns, ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and responsible use.
- Provide hands-on application security guidance to engineering teams, helping them implement secure APIs, microservices, data flows, and integrations.
- Maintain and expand Cognism’s secure coding standards, guidance, and reusable security patterns.
Application Security Testing & Engineering
- Perform hands-on security testing (manual and automated) for web applications, microservices, APIs, and cloud components.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee penetration tests, red team exercises, and third-party security assessments, ensuring findings are addressed and tracked.
- Validate findings, assist with prioritization, and partner with engineering teams on remediation strategies.
Collaboration, Education & Influence
- Work directly with product squads, acting as a trusted advisor and embedded security partner. Take the time to understand what other teams are working on, what business priorities are, and partner with teams to recommend risk mitigations that balance risk with opportunity and that take into account the threat landscape.
- Deliver security training, workshops, and guidance to improve engineering teams’ security maturity.Communicate security risk and tradeoffs clearly and constructively to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

In this role, you will focus on improving our CI/CD pipelines, system reliability, and developer experience, while helping scale our cloud infrastructure in a secure and cost-efficient way. You will work extensively with AWS services (compute, storage, networking, IAM, monitoring) and help ensure our systems are reliable, observable, and well-architected.
You’ll also support and enable emerging AI/ML and LLM-powered systems used for large-scale medical content processing, helping build and operate the infrastructure required for these workloads. This includes improving data pipelines, optimizing resource usage, and ensuring production-grade reliability of AI-driven services.
This is a high-impact role with a broad scope—from supporting production systems and data pipelines to driving long-term improvements in how we build, deploy, and operate our platform, with strong ownership and autonomy in shaping DevOps practices.
What you will do:
- Own and improve our infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes across multiple environments
- Work with AWS services (compute, storage, networking, IAM, monitoring) to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable systems
- Collaborate closely with backend and data teams to support production systems, data pipelines, and overall platform reliability
- Continuously improve developer experience by streamlining workflows, reducing friction, and enabling faster, safer deployments
- Contribute to improving security practices, access control, and compliance of our infrastructure
- Automate infrastructure and workflows using Python
- Improve observability by implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
- Troubleshoot production issues, participate in incident response, and implement long-term fixes to improve system stability

Who you are:
- You have 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering, with a strong focus on cloud-native environments (preferably AWS)
- You have managed cloud infrastructure (networking, IAM, compute, storage) with a strong understanding of security best practices and cost optimization
- You have experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, reliable software delivery across multiple environments
- You are comfortable writing Python for automation, scripting, and building internal tooling to improve infrastructure and developer workflows
- You have a strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, CloudWatch), and proactively identifying and resolve issues
- You are comfortable debugging production issues across systems and collaborating with engineering teams to resolve them
- You are proactive, take ownership, and enjoy working in environments with high autonomy and evolving processes
- You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders
- You are curious and motivated to learn, especially in areas like AI/ML infrastructure and large-scale systems
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or infrastructure-focused roles
- Proven experience designing and operating scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) in production environments
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices (IAM, network security, secrets management), preferably within AWS
- Proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and tooling
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus)
- Experience working in a Linux-based environment
- Ability to drive infrastructure and DevOps strategy, balancing scalability, reliability, and cost
- Experience working cross-functionally and influencing engineering teams on best practices and architectural decisions
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting or scaling AI/ML or LLM-based systems in production
- You have worked with containerized applications (Docker) and are familiar with orchestration concepts (Kubernetes or ECS is a plus)
- You are familiar with Infrastructure as Code principles (e.g., Terraform) and have experience implementing Infrastructure as Code from scratch in existing environments
- You have experience working with or supporting backend systems and data platforms (e.g., Postgres, Airflow is a plus)
- Background in backend engineering or software development
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment
- Experience leading and mentoring engineers, while contributing to team-wide best practices

About the role:
We’re looking for a Principal Engineer / Product Architect to lead the next evolution of Vumedi’s product architecture and technical direction. This is a hands-on, high-impact role - shaping how millions of doctors discover, learn, and collaborate through intelligent, scalable systems.
You’ll be both architect and builder, working directly with the CTO and engineering leaders across our US and Croatia teams to bring ambitious ideas from prototype to production.
What you’ll do:
- Architect the future of Vumedi’s platform - from scalable video systems to AI-powered content discovery and personalized learning experiences.
- Prototype and build AI workflows and agents powered by LLMs (Large Language Models) to transform how doctors interact with knowledge, surface insights, and discover content.
- Work closely with Product, Data, and AI teams to build, deploy, and monitor intelligent services (classification, search relevance, personalization, summarization).
- Define architectural standards across backend, frontend, and infrastructure layers - ensuring reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
- Partner with engineering leadership to drive system migrations and modernization (Python/Django backend, React frontend, AWS infrastructure).
- Mentor engineers across pods and raise the technical bar through design reviews, prototypes, and shared best practices.

Who you are:
- 9+ years of experience building and scaling software systems, ideally in consumer, data, or AI products.
- Proven success as a Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, or Architect leading major system designs end-to-end.
- Expertise in designing distributed systems and cloud architectures on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, ECS, RDS, etc.).

About the role:
In this role you’ll work with the engineering team in Zagreb and cooperate with our product team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast growing company and help us build products that make a major impact on the global physician audience. Our digital platform is at the heart of our company and is the base on top of which the company is built. We work on a modern technology stack which is primarily based on Django as a web backend framework, deployed on AWS cloud platform solution.
