Summary

The Manager of Internal Audit will play a pivotal role in building, executing and enhancing the company’s newly revamped internal audit function, with a strong emphasis on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and operational audits. This role will serve as the financial nerve center of the organization—driving disciplined planning, forecasting, analytics, and insight to enable informed, timely, and data-driven decision making. The Vice President of FP&A will work alongside senior leadership to establish financial transparency, modernize planning processes and systems, and translate complex financial and operational data into clear strategic insights for management and the Board of Directors. Reporting to the SVP Corporate Controller, this role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring the ability to design and implement scalable systems and processes while serving as a trusted thought partner to executive leadership.

Job Responsibilities

Strategy, Leadership & Transformation

• Establish standardized, scalable budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes that support growth, margin expansion, and operational efficiency.
• Lead the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing optimization of planning and forecasting systems and tools, partnering with leads supporting: Finance, Revenue Cycle Management, and Commercial teams.
• Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes, data quality, reporting cadence, and analytical rigor.

Annual Operating Plan, Forecasting & Performance Management

• Ownership of annual operating plan (AOP), forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
• Board and Investor reporting: Deliver timely, accurate monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Board of Directors, and key stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain robust, integrated financial models to analyze performance across customers, products, channels, and business units.
• Analyze financial results and KPIs, clearly articulating performance drivers, variances to plan, risks, and opportunities.
• Proactively evaluate business trends, identifying emerging risks and upside opportunities.

Strategic & Operational Business Partnership

• Serve as a trusted financial advisor to ELT and Management Team (MT) partners, providing insight that drives improved decision making and performance.
• Lead financial analysis supporting key strategic initiatives across Commercial, Lab Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, and other corporate functions.
• Develop and report key performance indicators, dashboards, and scorecards for operations, procurement, and other functional leaders.
• Identify and lead cost reduction, margin improvement, and productivity initiatives in partnership with the business.

Analytics, Insight & Decision Support

• Deliver timely, accurate, and actionable analysis with clear recommendations for executive decision making.
• Translate complex data into compelling narratives and presentations for ELT and Board meetings.
• Continuously enhance reporting, analytics, and visualization to provide real-time, decision-ready insights.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance

• Partner closely with accounting to support the close process, ensuring alignment between actuals and budget.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align financial plans with operational and strategic objectives.
• Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, control, and insight.
• Establish the financial framework for capital & investment allocation, ensuring that all significant investments are measured against consistent financial criteria

People Manager

• Set and execute strategic direction for the department/function, driving cross-functional alignment and making decisions with significant operational and business impact across the organization. 
• Lead and develop the team, fostering a high-performance culture, building organizational capability, and ensuring talent pipelines support long-term business objectives.

Education, Experience, and Skills

• Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting (MBA or CPA required).
• 15+ years of progressive FP&A experience, with demonstrated success building and scaling FP&A functions in high-growing and transformational environment. 
• Experience in healthcare, or similarly complex data-intensive environments preferred.
• Proven experience implementing and managing FP&A systems and planning tools.
• Advanced financial modeling expertise, coupled with strong financial systems and data analytics capabilities.
• Exceptional ability to communicate and present financial insights to ELT.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and execution skills, with the ability to take initiatives from concept through implementation.
• A proactive, business-oriented mindset with the credibility to partner effectively across functions.
• Experience supporting M&A modeling or strategic business case development.
• Demonstrated experience developing high performing FP&A teams, including coaching, succession planning, and building strong bench strength.

• This is a hybrid position requiring both in-office and remote work. The employee will work from our office location in Stamford, Connecticut and remotely from a home office or other suitable location with reliable high-speed internet access. Remote work is performed in a climate-controlled environment. Standard office equipment including computer, phone, and video conferencing tools are used in both settings. The Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs owns and executes U.S. and international regulatory strategy for the company’s Class II MRI devices and Class I accessory devices across the product lifecycle—from development through commercialization and post-market change management. This role translates complex global regulatory requirements into pragmatic, risk-based plans in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment, partnering closely with R&D, Quality, Clinical, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams. The Senior Manager serves as a primary interface with regulatory agencies and Notified Bodies, provides clear recommendations to senior leadership, and builds scalable regulatory processes by mentoring internal staff and managing external consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead regulatory strategies for Class I devices and Class II MRI devices to enable timely U.S. clearance and global market access in alignment with business priorities.
• Define submission plans, timelines, and resourcing; drive cross-functional readiness in a start-up environment with shifting priorities and accelerated schedules.
• Lead preparation, publishing, and maintenance of regulatory submissions (e.g., FDA 510(k)s, Q-Sub/Pre-Sub interactions as needed, and international registrations such as EU MDR/UKCA, Canada, Australia, and other priority markets), ensuring completeness and compliance with applicable requirements.
• Support product development by guiding teams on regulatory requirements and expectations, including design controls, risk management, software/cybersecurity considerations (as applicable), MRI-related standards, clinical evidence planning, and review of labeling and promotional claims.
• Build and scale regulatory infrastructure (SOPs, templates, submission archives, and decision records) that enables consistent execution and inspection/audit readiness as the organization grows.
• Partner with Quality to support external audits and inspections (e.g., ISO 13485/MDSAP, FDA) and to maintain alignment between regulatory commitments and the QMS.
• Review and approve labeling, instructions for use, and commercial materials for regulatory compliance (U.S. and international), ensuring claims are accurate, substantiated, and aligned to cleared/approved indications.
• Serve as a primary point of contact with global regulatory agencies and Notified Bodies; lead meeting preparation, responses to questions/deficiencies, and negotiation of clear regulatory pathways.
• Recruit, hire, coach, and develop regulatory personnel; effectively select and manage external consultants, testing labs, and submission publishing partners to meet program needs.

Knowledge, Skill & Abilities:

• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating with ambiguity; proactive problem-solver who can prioritize effectively in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Demonstrated success leading U.S. and OUS submissions and sustaining activities for Class I and Class II medical devices (preferably imaging/MRI), including managing questions/deficiencies to clearance/approval.
• Strong working knowledge of FDA regulations and expectations (e.g., 21 CFR 807/820, 21 CFR 801), ISO 13485, MDSAP, and global regulatory frameworks (e.g., EU MDR, UKCA, Health Canada).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex regulatory deliverables with clear ownership, on-time execution, and sound judgment balancing speed and compliance.
• Deep experience interpreting and applying FDA guidance, recognized standards, and international requirements; able to translate requirements into clear plans and document-ready content.
• Strong regulatory strategy skills, including pathway assessment, predicate/device comparisons, intended use/indications development, and lifecycle change impact assessments.
• Experienced directly interacting with FDA and international regulators/Notified Bodies, including leading meetings, preparing briefing packages, and managing written responses.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to interact with all levels of the company
• Excellent ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents, professional journals, technical procedures, and regulations
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while keeping stakeholders aligned through clear, concise updates and proactive risk escalation.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required (scientific/engineering discipline preferred) with 15+ years of progressive regulatory affairs experience in medical devices; or Master’s degree with 10+ years of progressive regulatory affairs experience
• Significant hands-on ownership of U.S. and international submissions and post-market change management; advanced degree and/or RAC certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Research & Development (R&D).
• Familiarity with AI-based software, medical imaging, active devices.

Compensation: The annual base salary for this position based in Hyperfine's Guilford, CT office is between $162,000 - $186,000 (or $180,000 - $208,000 if based in our Palo Alto, CA office). Job Title: Senior AI Scientist

Location: Guilford, Connecticut

The Senior AI Scientist is a talented and experienced Scientist with applied experience in Machine Learning who will innovate and expand our product capabilities. The goal of this role is to develop techniques that solve a wide range of challenging scientific and clinical problems in MRI aimed at improving patient outcomes. You will introduce new algorithms and machine learning models that solve difficult imaging tasks, make our models more accurate and robust, and introduce entirely new approaches.

• Coordinate tasks and goals with other scientists, software engineers, and a clinical team to help develop a new suite of intelligent medical products. 
• Rapidly prototype deep learning models including, but not limited to, classification, detection, segmentation, reconstruction, super-resolution, and denoising; iterate on training models with fast turnaround time.
