What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Create and refine our visual design language based on Scout’s brand identity.
- Lead visual design work from ideation to mock-ups to implementation.
- Develop designs that express the Scout brand coherently across digital and print mediums.
- Define and evolve the visual tone, color palette, and overall aesthetics - creating documentation of assets/guidelines/templates.
- Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into designs.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
- This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Initial Base Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00

Description
Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA) is seeking a TS/SCI-cleared Software Engineer / Developer to design, build, and secure modern applications within a classified cloud environment. The engineer will develop containerized, cloud-native solutions using AWS GovCloud, integrate DevSecOps pipelines, and apply infrastructure as code (Terraform) to ensure repeatable, secure deployments.
The selected candidate will collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and mission teams to modernize legacy systems, integrate APIs, and deliver scalable capabilities across hybrid environments following Agile / Scrum principles.
This position is onsite in Charlottesville, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy secure, cloud-native applications and services within AWS GovCloud.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integrated static / dynamic security scanning.
- Build and automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs connecting mission and enterprise systems.
- Containerize and orchestrate workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Apply secure coding standards and remediate vulnerabilities identified through code or pipeline scans.

Summary of Role:
As a Software Development Engineer III at Palmetto, you will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling critical platform services using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React.js, Node.js). You’ll work hands-on across the stack, with a stronger emphasis on server-side architecture and API development, while collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering teammates.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Tactical
- Design and implement scalable client- and server-side solutions, with an emphasis on APIs, backend services, and database integration.
- Write high-quality, testable, and maintainable code across the full stack.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues and propose robust solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, grooming, retrospectives) and contribute to meaningful story estimations.
