In this role, you’ll guide a team of operations specialists to manage air shipments from start to finish — making sure our customers’ cargo moves smoothly, efficiently, and on time.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and support the air operations team in managing daily export/ import shipments.
• Oversee the full shipment lifecycle — from booking and pickup to airline handover and final delivery.
• Coach and develop team members to help them grow and perform at their best.
• Act as the main point of contact for escalations and ensure quick, effective resolutions.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with airlines, terminals, and trucking providers.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as planning, sales, customs, and destination offices to ensure seamless coordination.
• Continuously improve workflows to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
• Ensure all activities follow Flexport’s standards, policies, and local regulations.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows — saving time, reducing costs, and boosting productivity.
• Monitor and review vendor performance, providing feedback and solutions to improve service quality.
• Oversee billing accuracy and cost control, resolving invoice disputes promptly.
• Manage & keep good relationships with external vendor, providers to get support and handle shipment smoothly.
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Actively refine procedures and enhance systems by identifying inefficiencies, streamlining processes, and collaborating with teams to implement new workflows, optimize existing systems, and integrate new technologies.

What you will need:

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or related fields.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain or ocean carrier operations.
• 2 to 3years of leadership experience
• Very good knowledge of Air export & import rules & regulations in Cambodia
• Good communication skill, efficiency in time management, high accuracy and patience and problem-solving skill
• Good communication of written and spoken English.Chinese is a plus

The opportunity:

The role of the Manager Ocean Operations is a critical part of making Flexport’s mission to make global trade easy for everyone a reality. Flexport today connects almost 10,000 clients and suppliers across 109 countries. In this role, your direct customers are the partners within your region: our account management and customs teams, subcontractors, carriers, terminals, trucking providers and our clients. Your work directly supports Flexport’s end customers in achieving their logistics goals. Most importantly, you will play a pivotal role in building the next operational model at Flexport: allowing us to effectively scale to achieve our mission of making global commerce so easy there will be more of it.

This role is designed to hire, train, and develop a team of motivated operations experts while strategically leading them through the complex world of freight forwarding.  You will work cross-functionally to navigate ambiguous challenges and establish a world-class operating team. Tactical Responsibilities:

As an Ocean Operations leader, you are an expert in executing the end-to-end movement of shipments within a regional network including FCL and LCL import and export shipments.

• You will hire, coach and build a 5 -10 person team responsible for the end-to-end movement of ocean freight shipments within a regional network (both imports and exports), including intermodal movements.
• You will personally represent Flexport’s value proposition by recommending supply chain solutions for new clients and opportunities to the account management team.
• You will guard the “front line” in ensuring the highest standard of Flexport quality: the right processes and metrics are in place for shipments to move “on-time” and exceptions are resolved quickly and appropriately. You will be responsible for meeting internal KPIs and SLAs that demonstrate quality delivery.
• You will design a scalable operational infrastructure and procedures to ensure your team is delivering the highest levels of efficiency and productivity for your customers. If they are not, you will look for opportunities to improve them.
• As an Ocean team leader you will:
• Monitor regional vendor (e.g. carrier, trucker) performance and partner with Procurement on performance management initiatives.
• You will serve as the primary relationship manager for internal and external partners in your region such as shippers, terminals, carriers, container freight stations, customs brokers, truckers, the Customs team and the Ocean Operations team. You will be the primary point of contact for internal and external escalations.

• You will work with gateway and global management to ensure the right metrics and data are in place to empower your regional team to deliver great performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Scout for vendor partners in China/Hong Kong or SEA who can manufacture high-quality Men's Bottoms products with fast production lead time
• Pitching and on-boarding vendor partners in speed. This should be done with clear criteria around the initial test period and ensuring their ability to scale if the test period is successful.
• Drive excellence in partner operations for existing supplier relationships within current Quince categories, while expanding the supply base and improving Quince's product costs, quality, and commercial terms for sustainable sales and profitability
• Material Sourcing: Resources in speed for any materials that can effectively improve product cost, quality, and speed as options for scaling orders. Have experience negotiating with suppliers throughout the supply chain from T1 to T2 mill/vendor partners.
• Open costing expertise: Have solid open costing breakdown experience from the brand or manufacturer side to build a clear strategy for costing negotiations; be able to construct a validated cost structure/template to negotiate with vendor partners without relying on vendor data only.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supply Chain, Sourcing Strategy & Partner Management

• Develop and implement the end-to-end supply chain and sourcing strategy for the Kidswear and Babywear categories, including a multi-sourcing approach to ensure resilience.
• Onboard new manufacturing partners to the Quince direct-to-consumer (D2C) model and provide coaching on operating within a rapid replenishment, M2C (Manufacturer-to-Consumer) environment.
• Educate partners on the Quince Operating System (OS), covering:
• Operational Excellence: Fostering rapid lead times and a consumer-oriented approach.
• Financial Model: Achieving high Return on Invested Capital (ROIC).
• Technical Integration: Proficient use of the Vendor Portal.

Operational Excellence & Growth

• Drive continuous improvement to achieve key performance indicators:
• Quality: Defect rate less than 0.5%.
• Speed & Accuracy: Replenishment Lead Time under 14 days.
• Availability: In-stock rate exceeding 99%.
• Financial Impact: Margin-accretive performance.
• Lead Catalog Expansion in collaboration with Merchandising and Product Development (PD) teams, successfully launching new styles and colors approved through the New Product Creation (NPC) process.
• Conduct structured Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with the management of each partner, focusing on strategic alignment, business performance highlights, identified areas for improvement, and future objectives.

• 15+ years of Strategic Sourcing or Procurement, or Supplier Management experience operating with major US-based retailers.
• Deep set of partner factory connections within kids&baby apparel category across the APAC region 
• Product obsessed with experience in leveraging factories/vendor expertise to design, cost engineer, and bring products to market. With a thorough Knowledge of Key Material localised in the region
• GM mindset with a supply chain background and manufacturing (lean/ JIT) experience
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and analytical with focus on execution, problem- solving, improving processes and brand enhancement.
