We are seeking a QSP modeling & simulation scientist to be part of the Nonclinical Development and Clinical Pharmacology (NDCP) organization. This position will be responsible for developing, validating, and executing modeling projects with a focus on mechanistic PBPK-QSP mathematical models for small molecule programs to increase mechanistic understanding of compound PK behavior and drug distribution, pharmacological effects on RAS targets, support clinical translation, and drive future discovery and development efforts.  As a Quantitative Systems Pharmacologist, you will:

• Develop, validate, execute, and refine quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) models, minimal physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models, semi-mechanistic PK/PD models, and tumor growth models to support development and discovery phase projects including next-generation inhibitor design and assessment of combination potential.

• Propose and perform in silico simulations to answer complex mechanistic questions, create data visualizations to effectively communicate modeling results to a wide-ranging audience, and devise strategies to improve model outputs.

• Survey the related literature to understand key physiological and biological processes, abstract the basic mechanistic elements, identify the relevant data, and summarize assumptions to be incorporated into existing or new PBPK-QSP models.

• Propose new mechanistic in vitro and in vivo experiments to test model assumptions and structure. Provide in silico support for preclinical translation including clinical efficacious doses/exposure projection, potential combination dosing regimens with other cancer therapeutics.

• Work collaboratively with other functions to build internal infrastructure supporting data transfer and quality control.

• Document contributions, including assumptions, mathematical models, data analyses, and data visualizations, to be shared with other scientists or used for archival purposes.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

• A Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (systems pharmacology, computational biology, engineering, mathematics, physics, etc.) and 0-2 years of industry experience is desired.

• Strong understanding of the principles and limitations of mathematical modeling, pharmacokinetic models, pharmacodynamic models, and quantitative systems pharmacology/biology models.

• Proficiency in mathematical and computational methods including ordinary differential equations (ODEs), nonlinear systems, statistics, optimization, and parameter inference.

• Proven record developing, calibrating, and validating dynamical system models in pharmacological and biological systems.

• Demonstrable hands-on experience with programming languages used in scientific computing, such as MATLAB, Python, Julia, and R.

• Capable of working proactively and independently to deliver high–quality modeling results in a timely manner.

• Able to effectively communicate modeling assumptions, limitations, and simulation results to non-specialist and specialist audiences.

• A critical thinker and team player who can work cross-functionally with others.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with diverse dynamical system methods like ODE-based, PDE-based, nonlinear mixed effects, agent-based, Markov, Boolean, etc.

• Experience with integrating large data sets into QSP.

• Experience with agentic coding workflows such as Copilot, Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code.

• Experience with data-driven methods such as ML-based predictive regression models and physics-informed neural network models.

THE ROLE

As a Senior Legal Counsel (IP Prosecution & Litigation), you will serve as a strategic partner to our engineering and executive teams, providing high-level guidance on patent strategy and the end-to-end litigation lifecycle. The Role 

As a Senior Navigation & Guidance engineer, you will be a core driver of the overall spacecraft GNC architecture. You will execute detailed trade studies to find new and novel ways to implement the spacecraft’s guidance, attitude control, and attitude and orbit estimation systems. In the first 3 months, you will support the development of the control infrastructure, from discrete filter design in the time domain to thorough analysis in the frequency domain. Additionally, you will support the development of autonomous orbit raise for a vehicle to MEO and the associated navigation to support an autonomous orbit raise. In the first 6 months, you will own and execute the Verification and Validation plan for the GNC stack, driving the system to flight readiness via a robust and thorough analysis of vehicle performance in both nominal and off nominal environments. This push for flight readiness will motivate thorough analysis, leading to updates to both the GNC stack and the K2 6-DOF simulation. The expectation is that all GNC team members commit code to the 6-DOF sim as well as owning a portion of the GNC flight software.  

In the first year, you will support launch and on orbit operations of the first full demonstration of the K2 spacecraft bus – the Mega. In parallel, you will support the block 2 upgrades of the GNC stack and 6-DOF sim, taking lessons learned from on orbit operations to increase the fidelity of the simulation and the vehicle performance of the GNC stack.  

Responsibilities 

• Work with other engineering leads to develop and validate a novel high level vehicle architecture 
• Develop novel algorithms for precise pointing of very large, flexible structures in earth orbit and beyond 
• Develop novel slewing algorithms of very large, flexible structures in earth orbit and beyond

As a Senior Motor Control Engineer at Zipline, you’ll be responsible for shipping high-performance motor controller firmware for Zipline’s family of proprietary motor controllers. Expect to work closely with electrical engineers, structures and mechanism designers, flight software developers, and test-site operations teams. About this opportunity:

At Freenome, we are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Research Engineer to join the Machine Learning Science (MLS) team, within the Computational Science department. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge in designing and building deep learning (DL) pipelines, and expertise in creating reliable, scalable artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) systems in a cloud environment. 

The MLS team at Freenome develops DL models using massive-scale genomic data that presents significant challenges for current training paradigms. The Senior Machine Learning Research Engineer will primarily be responsible for developing and deploying the infrastructure needed to support development of such DL models: enabling distributed DL pipelines, optimizing hardware utilization for efficient training, and performing model optimizations. • MS or equivalent experience in a relevant, quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Software Engineering, with an emphasis on AI/ML theory and/or practical development.
• 5+ years of post-MS industry experience working on developing AI/ML software engineering pipelines.
• Proficiency in a general-purpose programming language: Python (preferred), Java, Julia, C, C++, etc.
• Strong knowledge of ML and DL fundamentals and hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Jax or Scikit-learn.

• Proven track record of developing and optimizing workflows for training DL models, large language models (LLMs), or similar for problems with high data complexity and volume.
• Experience managing large datasets, including data storage (such as HDFS or Parquet on S3), retrieval, and efficient data processing techniques (via libraries and executors such as PyArrow and Spark).
• Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices to maintain code quality and automate development workflows.
• Expertise in building and launching large-scale ML frameworks in a scientific environment that supports the needs of a research team.
• Excellent ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate across disciplines.

• Experience working with large-scale genomics or biological datasets.
• Experience managing multimodal datasets, such as combinations of sequence, text, image, and other data.

Acoustics Engineer 

Position Overview

If so, we would love to hear from you! Alarm.com is developing the next generation of smart home security products from cameras to doorbells and beyond and is in need of someone to bring some acoustics expertise to our team. 

What can you do for Alarm.com? 

As an Alarm.com acoustics engineer, you’ll work collaboratively with a group of engineers bringing our future products to market. You’ll work with mechanical engineers to fit speaker and microphone systems into our devices and ensure they are waterproof. You’ll work with electrical engineers to ensure there are no power or thermal issues. You’ll work with firmware engineers to develop our acoustic echo cancellers. And you will work with our overseas partners to set specifications and limits for factory testing. 

Day to day responsibilities 

• Be Alarm.com’s resident expert in all things acoustics. Help distill complex principles into applicable tradeoffs to help steer design decisions 
• Perform benchmarking and testing as needed to confirm performance of ADC speaker systems and microphones against specs 
• Be available as needed for calls and discussions with manufacturers in Asia 
• Work with internal stakeholders to set product specifications based on demos 
• Analyze test data from engineering builds to help drive root cause analysis for acoustic issues. Drive experiments and DOEs to validate fixes. 
• Enable R&D efforts to further Alarm.com’s understanding of full duplex implementation and best in class audio features 

Required Experience 

• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in acoustics or related field or equivalent work experience 
• 5+ Years in Consumer Electronics: Extensive experience in a consumer electronics environment with a specialization in acoustics. 
• MEMS Microphone Expertise: Proficient in designing and testing MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) microphone systems for consumer electronic devices. 
• Speaker System Design: Skilled in designing and testing various speaker systems to deliver superior audio quality. 
• Waterproofing Techniques: Knowledgeable in implementing waterproofing strategies for both speakers and microphones to ensure reliability and performance in harsh outdoor conditions. 
• Demo Design and Setup: Capable of setting up demonstrations for both technical and non-technical audiences to illustrate acoustic principles and design trade-offs. 
• Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively with mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineers on multidisciplinary teams. 
• Manufacturing Collaboration: Proven track record of working with overseas factories to establish test limits for FATP (Final Assembly Test Process) audio tests, manage part quality, and debug manufacturing issues. 
• Test Equipment Specification: Ability to specify appropriate test equipment based on budget constraints and test requirements. 
• Fluent in English: Effective communication skills are essential for collaboration and documentation.
