How you'll help us achieve it
We’re looking for a Head of Marketing who is both strategic and execution-oriented, capable of building and leading a high-performing marketing function while driving sustainable growth as we scale in Burkina Faso.
In this role, you'll;
- Own the local marketing strategy, aligned with business growth targets, market expansion priorities, and brand ambition.
- Serve as the strategic marketing partner to the General Manager and functional leads (Operations, Sales, Support, Product…).
- Lead marketing planning, including budget, resource allocation, and ROI accountability.
- Work closely with the group marketing team to align growth, product and brand strategies for your market with global direction.
- Lead and supervise full-funnel campaigns for Burkina Faso across ATL, BTL, and Social Media.
- Create clear and actionable processes and documentation that can guide cross-functional teams in successful project delivery, from ideation to deployment.
- Lead market intelligence efforts (consumer insights, market analysis, brand health, channel performance).

- Location: Ouagadou with travel upcountry (about once per month).

Requirements
- Degree in relevant fields (marketing, communication, sales, business development, management…).
- At least 12 years of marketing experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles with team management and budget ownership.
- Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-channel marketing strategies with measurable commercial impact.
- Experience managing significant marketing budgets and demonstrating strong ROI discipline.
- Fluent in French, English.

How you'll help us achieve it
We are looking for a Master Agent Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day leadership, strategic growth, and management of our master agent network. You will drive operational excellence and ensure our master agents deliver high-quality service across Burkina Faso.
In this role, you'll;
- Manage a roll-out plan for master agents.
- Lead the master agent team to grow a sustainable master agent network.
- Lead and deliver all master agent projects.
- Work with the team to ensure master agents have all required supplies.
- Build a strong relationship with master agents.
- Ensure the master agents' network provides high-quality service.
- Overseeing the development of master agents and ensuring high-quality master agents.
- Providing management with feedback.
- Analyze the performance of the master agents' network and seek out improvement plans.

- Location is primarily based in Ouagadougou, with the possibility for intermittent travel throughout Burkina Faso.
- Work authorization in Burkina Faso is required.

How you'll help us achieve it
We are seeking a Strategic People Partner who combines curiosity, strategic thinking, and hands-on HR delivery. This Partner will help us shape our people's experience, talent initiatives, and ultimately own an org/s as a trusted People Partner.
You’ll partner across teams to strengthen how we grow, support, and develop Wavers. Your work will touch key areas such as: performance coaching, development, talent management, organizational design and employee experience, while also supporting talent programs.
In this role, you'll;

Support Organizational Design & Effectiveness
- Partner with business leads to assess and evolve team structures that enable collaboration and effectiveness.
- Facilitate organization health reviews, using people analytics to identify strengths, gaps, and growth opportunities.
- Support managers on change management, team design, and culture alignment as their orgs scale.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects that enhance employee experience, performance, and engagement.
Learning & Development Collaborations
- Partner with the L&D team and business leads to identify development needs and learning priorities across functions.
- Support individual development planning and ensure learning insights are embedded into performance and career frameworks.
- Track participation, to inform continuous improvement of learning initiatives.
Talent Management & Growth
- Partner with leaders to map career paths and growth frameworks across their teams.
- Support performance review cycles, calibrations, and feedback conversations that drive meaningful development.
- Build visibility into succession planning, and emerging talent across Wave.
- Collaborate with the Talent team, to ensure a consistent strong pipeline of talent during hiring processes.
Grow our Talent & Development Programs
- Manage Wave’s internship and Support rotation programs: canvassing roles, coordinating interviews, onboarding, and successful integration.
- Partner with leads to identify high-performing participants for continued development and full-time conversion opportunities.
Strengthen Employer Branding
- Collaborate with Marketing and Comms to capture authentic stories that reflect Wave’s culture and employee experiences.
- Contribute to content for social channels, events, and recruiting campaigns showcasing Wave as a great place to grow.

Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in Recruiting, Learning & Development, Talent management, or HRBP in a high-growth environment
- A degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent.
- French and English proficiency.

How you'll help us achieve it
We’re hiring a User Growth Regional Lead — a key role driving Wave’s expansion on the ground. You’ll lead and energize distribution activities across your region, with a clear mission: grow and retain our user base. You’ll design and execute strategies that boost active usage, from money transfers to bill payments, ensuring Wave becomes the go-to wallet for our users.
In this role you’ll;
- Manage a team of supervisors/team leads who, in turn, manage field-based distributors. These distributors are responsible for recruiting new users to our financial products.
- Identify and find solutions to critical blockers for user growth and maintain active usage of our financial products in assigned areas.
- Develop strategies to boost the retention of newly acquired users.
- Hire, train, and manage distribution team members and build systems to scale distribution as needed rapidly.
- Build the roadmap for the distribution team in your area to achieve its quarterly key objectives, including iterating on strategy and growing our customer base day after day within the assigned region of Burkina Faso.
- Use data to make decisions on distribution strategies and monitor the performance of your team.
- Work closely with the agency team to align key objectives and operationalize strategies.
- Help to develop Wave’s distribution strategy by sharing insights and learning from the team’s experience.
- Lead by living Wave's values, and ensure they're deeply ingrained within your team.

Requirements
- Fluency in French and in a local language is a plus.
- Proficient in English - this role will interact regularly with non-French speakers, and reporting will be done primarily in English.
- Previous experience in sales/business development/team management.
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience specifically managing field teams or user acquisition teams based in the field.
- At least 2 years of experience designing strategies for user acquisition for a telecom, payment service provider, FMCG, or financial institution.
- At least 2 years’ experience managing large teams (50+ people).
