We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a core security engineering team that operates at the intersection of infrastructure and developer experience — where your team’s code becomes the secure foundation for all of engineering. The team addresses systemic security vulnerabilities through standardised frameworks, libraries and infrastructure used by every engineering team in the company. This work is essential for ensuring platform availability, securing our license to operate in key markets, and keeping our customers’ data strictly private.
With over 200 million customers in 50+ countries, Bolt is one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe and Africa. And it's all thanks to our people.
We believe in creating an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, or disability.
Our ultimate goal is to make cities for people, not cars, and we need your help to achieve this mission!
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of experienced engineers in designing, building, and scaling Bolt’s foundational engineering infrastructure. You’ll tackle exciting platform challenges — from addressing systemic vulnerabilities to developing secure frameworks and reusable libraries that empower over 600 engineers across the company to build secure software by default.
Your team will work closely with InfoSecurity, SRE, and Product Engineering stakeholders across the organisation to ensure robust protection, maintain developer productivity, and seamlessly integrate security into the software lifecycle at Bolt. You’ll guide the team toward a strategic vision focused on proactive defense, high engineering standards, and an exceptional developer experience for platforms safeguarding over 200 million customers and 4.5 million partners in more than 600 cities.
Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying if you feel you’re the kind of person described above!

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to work on unique product challenges: complex algorithms for demand prediction, optimal real-time pricing, routing, fraud detection, distributed systems and much more. Volumes are growing at a steady pace.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and deploying Bolt's growing backend systems. That will mostly happen via coding in Node.js and TypeScript (PS: no previous experience with Node.js is needed).
